  1. If I didn't already have a factory unit I'd be all over it at that price, just to see for myself. The Pro-Mag aspect bothers me, but if they somehow managed to strike a deal with Benelli that would be a coup. $178 is a heck of a deal. Can't wait to see the first review by someone who has a factory stock on hand for a side by side comparison. BTW, anyone know what that little hole in the pistol grip (directly aft of the trigger) is for? I know now. lol
  2. But it all looks so good! Well, it appears we've got two victims...,er I mean guinea pigs so we should know before long.
  3. Thx for pointing that out, I didn't pick up on that on first glance.
  4. Stock, pistol grip and forend all for $178? Wow. Ok, so who's going to be the first guinea pig...er, I mean volunteer to give this a shot?
  5. The only parts interchangeable with that would be from a SL80, standard 121, or 123 (all essentially the same gun). And you would have to find a donor gun for spare parts since Benelli no longer makes replacement parts for those discontinued shotguns. Date code info - http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/16571-Benelli-Date-of-manufactuer-code?highlight=benelli+date+code
  6. No, M1 superseded by the M2, however one can still find a decent deal on a good used M1 (or M2) if one is diligent. Remember, if you snooze, you lose.
  7. Just a plain jane Winchester Model 12 with the barrel cut off to 18.5", magazine holds 6 rounds w/o the plug, and there's no disconnector so it will slam fire. Plus the Model 12 is extremely reliable and has a solid track record on the battlefield up to and into the 'nam. My one Benelli is a M4 aka 'the money pit'.
  8. Welcome to the forum James. I'm into Model 12s for my pumps, however if I were to purchase a newly manufactured pump it would be a Nova or Super Nova and nothing else. JMO
  9. "Keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill" = 'the gateway drug' for the gungrabbers' addiction - http://survivalandprosperity.com/tag/gun-confiscation/ Served your country and now you have PTSD? Guess what - you're now considered 'mentally ill'. And sadly the truth of the matter is that neither of the two swine running for teleprompter-reader-in-chief have our best interests at heart.
  10. Well that really sucks. As a replacement I suggest a Pachmayr Decelerator buttpad.
  11. lol, yeah I'm sure precisely like they did after Bush 1 betrayed American gunowners within 90 days of taking office. lololololol
  12. Yes, you have to look very, very closely, the holes (more like slits or cuts) in the rubber close up tight enough to disappear completely. Try using your fingers to spread the rubber apart in the suspected locations until you find them - they're there.
  13. I dunno about that - I can't stand either one of those swine however I'm thinking Mitt for Brains is even more evil than the Commie-in Chief since he tells bigger whoppers and cannot swallow enough for the love of his life Bibi. There's absolutely NO denying that Mitt for Brains is a bona fide gungrabber, he's proved it. A leopard cannot change it's spots. "...the sole purpose of assault weapons is for hunting down and killing people..." --Mitt for Brains as he signed the Mass. assault weapons ban as Mass. gov. Mitt for brains is NO friend of gunowners. The downside is that if and when Mitt for Brains pulls a Bush 1 move there's unlikely to be any uproar out of other GOPers like there would be if the Communist Kenyan did the exact same thing due to 'party loyalty' (puke). I realize the truth hurts, but we have a liberal masquerading as a something else entirely and is just as dangerous as any other collectivist with any other label. Deal with it.
  14. You're not talking about that lying Mitt for Brains are you? Be advised that he is NOT a 'capitalist' he IS a fascist (the 'other brand' of collectivist). And a lying through his teeth to say ANYTHING to get elected sort of fascist (is there any other kind?). His track record on guns SUCKS. Watch that liar stutter - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulrzukyQGio
  15. The level of intelligence we're dealing with here (yeah, this is an ACTUAL CONgresscritter, in fact this particular one is there for one reason and one reason only, to gun grab) -
  16. A brief synopsis of the situation - http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/gun-restrictions-coming-after-the-election/23957/
  17. They're waiting for you to lose interest or die of old age.
  18. And yeah, this definitely includes your hi-cap Benelli even if "it's just a pump."
  19. There's not a dime's worth of difference between the two of those two collectivist losers, in their stone cold wicked hearts they are both lockstep in complete harmony with the worst of the gungrabbers despite their very vocal protestations. Carry on as if either one of them will outright ban anything and everything via an EO first rattle out of the box next year (just like 'NRA Lifemember' G.H.W. Bush did).
  20. My 2008 produced M4 ('CC' code) which has seen very little use has lost some of the phosphate finish around the proof marks on the barrel, as in 'the white' is showing. Has anyone else experienced this with their Benelli? Not really that big of an issue for me, just kinda bright and noticeable.
  21. I got a deal on a genuine, new 2 MOA T-1 w/o a mount from 'gunfighter420' who's on calguns for $520 shipped, and then I found an A.R.M.S. #31 mount for it on feebay for ~$85. PM me if you want the link on the calguns site.
  22. To meet 922® compliance with a FL tube and a C-stock you will need four 'made in the USA' parts to substitute for what you have now. When you order a FL tube from Carrier Comp I believe (although not certain) that Kip still includes his 'made in the USA' magazine follower. That will give you two 'made in the USA' parts towards the four you need for compliance. The other two parts can be chosen from this list of available 'made in the usa' parts: hammer (Geissele or Freedom Fighter Tactical), FFT trigger, FFT disconnector, handguards (FFT, KZ, or Surefire). I opted for the Geissele hammer and FFT disconnector (about $100 for those two items shipped).
  23. You're right! I stand corrected. lol ETA: I dunno how these morons get 'reality' teevee shows when the *reality* is that people in the RW who visit them report how utterly lame they are in person and really don't have viable shops with a lot of customers coming coming and going.
  24. I couldn't agree more with all the previous comments. I've watched SoG a couple of times and concluded that it HAD to be the dopiest 'reality show' on the boob tube. I think those knuckleheads could screw up a steel ball bearing with a rubber hammer. For one thing they copy what others have done decades ago and present it as 'original, never done before'. I have NO idea how they found themselves on teevee, and I bet they don't either. lol
  25. I see this often as an objection, but really, how often does one anticipate 'field stripping' their M4? I submit if one is concerned about 'field stripping' their M4 they can simply add the allen wrench for doing so to their kit - the 'extra weight' would be nominal. I've even thought about making some provision on the stock for doing so, but haven't pursued it as I don't find it to be an issue for me at this time.
