  1. Can't go by serial number to get date of manufacture, it's strictly the two letter code on all Benellis post-1974 as indicated in list above.
  2. The reason you're not getting a response is because you've posted in an inappropriate thread. I suggest you try using using the search function on this forum, search term: 'date codes' - I would also suggest you delete your two posts on this thread.
  3. No **** Sherlock. However I had NO idea there was a roll pin in there - there's no corresponding hole on the PG of the fixed buttstock as you know.
  4. The MT item I installed was the QD cup/pocket - now that it's installed it seems sturdy enough. I would have liked to used the KZ device, however that just won't work with the c-stock. I really don't see any other means of attachment on the c-stock configuration other than where that roll pin is located in the PG.
  5. The correct thing to do is to drive it out with the proper size punch - if I'd only had known. The Mesa Tactical parts came in a plastic bag with no paperwork, not even a label.
  6. Before placing an order for it I called THE SOURCE and talked to a woman at Mesa Tactical who advised me that I would need to DRILL OUT that hole in the PG to enlarge it - NO mention of a roll pin. (Yeah, I see that NOW on their website they make mention of a 'split pin'.) So what do I do? I (carefully) follow the directions I got from Mesa Tactical, breaking a couple of drill bits in the process (I was thinking to myself at the time, "Self, this is being much more difficult than it should be.") - it's one very tough roll pin, Benelli did not cut corners on this roll pin. I finally extract the remnants of the roll pin and then have to be concerned with getting the block within the PG which retains the trigger group properly aligned so that everything comes back together as it should. I was NOT at all pleased with the outcome, although it works now, just not as well as it did before I took a drill to it.
  7. Yeah, Mesa Tactical fails to inform ya that there's a EFFING ROLL PIN THAT YOU HAVE TO DRILL OUT* in that location to install that attachment point. Ask me how I know. *or driven out HAD I KNOW OR BEEN INFORMED that there's a EFFING ROLL PIN there
  8. And unfortunately it won't work with the c-stock.
  9. Legislation is set to be ramrodded through the Illinois lege THIS WEEK prohibiting ownership of essentially ALL modern guns, not just your Benelli shotgun - http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/01/robert-farago/breaking-illinois-bill-to-ban-all-modern-firearms/
  10. I found all the parts to make mine at Lowe's. Sorry, didn't make a video.
  11. I haven't seen it or hefted it so I have no opinion on it. If I were in the market for a c-stock I would first give the ProMag stock a shot at half the price.
  12. Stock less forend and rail setup is MSRP $375.
  13. If you used all the items you listed including the ProMag stock and ProMag handguards you'd have five US parts and you'd be gtg.
  14. The ProMag stock/PG counts as two parts. The 'collapsing/telescoping' stock is one evil feature and the (more than 5 round capacity) FL tube is another evil feature. The M4 comes from Benelli with one evil feature (other than being semi-auto), i.e. the PG.
  15. 3 US parts if only a FL mag tube, 4 if a 'telescoping stock' is added.
  16. You need four Made in the USA parts IF you're going to install a full length magazine (which would account for one Made in the USA part) since the ProMag stock accounts for TWO Made in the USA parts (pistol grip and stock). If you're not going to install a FL tube then you can simply install a Made in the USA magazine follower.
  17. YMMV as to whether or not your particular shotgun will cycle mini-shells, what matters is that if the tube mag on your shotgun will hold 6 or more 2.75" rounds (e.g. a nearly 100 y.o. Winchester Model 12) then it will hold at least 11 mini-shells (the fact that your shotgun won't cycle mini-shells is inconsequential).
  18. It appears that $625 is for the stock/forend combo, stock only is listed at $375. Dunno if nearly $200 more (over the ProMag stock) can justify the adjustable cheek cheekrest when the OEM (style) works fine in the middle position for low mounted optics.
  19. A couple of very informative videos on the issue - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3xC22DrmkU&feature=player_embedded
  20. According to Fineswine's proposed bill mini-shells will subject your Benelli shotgun (and many other shotguns) to NFA rules (since the mag capacity could be increased to more than 10 rounds). (btw, this proposed bill ELIMINATES the possibility of future transfers, e.g. as is currently done with NFA weapons - the ONLY transfer allowed will be to turn into the govt.)
