  1. +1 on the tactical version of the Crio HD, I have been wanting a tactical choke for my M2 tactical for a really long time now. I would like to have one in CR or MR for slug and buck use.
  2. Everyone knew that it was going to be a 5-4 ruling just like Heller. Chicago had already admitted defeat months before the ruling. What surprised me was that Sotomayor was able to rule on this. She was the 7th district circuit judge who ruled against this and sent this to the SCOTUS. I thought judges were not allowed to rule on the same case twice? Even at a higher level? What to be afraid of is that if one of the 5 (that ruled for this) retires or dies, and another anti 2A judge gets on there. I think it will be decades before we see any real results on this ruling at the state level, unless they try to implement the Clinton ban again at the federal level. All this did was open the door for more lawsuits and more years of waiting for a right that we should have had all along. I want to see what is going to happen about "evil gun" bans and magazine bans in all the states that have them. How many rounds in a magazine until you step on someones constitutional rights? Did the founding fathers say that we are only allowed 10 rounds, with loaded chamber indicators and magazine disconects? Is it a constitutional right to have a pistol grip on a semi auto center fire rifle with a detachable mag? The new battle ground in the future will be ammo. Sure you can have all of the handguns you want, but you cant have any ammo for them. Thats constitutional right? The SCOTUS said that we cant ban handguns but we still can ban ammo. Oh wait we are not banning ammo, you can only have one round per month because thats all anyone really needs any way. Oh and by the way you can only have one handgun now. Who needs more than one? That wouldnt be fair to all the people that are disabled and only have one hand. And why stop with the 2nd A might as well go with the 1st A too. So you better tell Rupert Murdoch that he can only own one newspaper and one news channel now. 10 day waiting period? Nah, lets just make it a year now. We didnt say that you couldnt have a handgun, just not until 2011, OK? Is there a waiting period for free speech? What about the 4th and 5th? Sorry you were out side the 10 day waiting period so you dont have the right for self incrimination or illegal searches. In fact you only get one per month and you already used it earlier in the month.
  3. I hope that "reasonable restrictions" dosent mean that we will be restricted to single shot weapons in the future. And who needs actual cartridge ammo anyways? Only black powder weapons from now on. That seems "reasonable" right?
  4. I have both an M4 and an M2 tactical. I prefer the M4 in the house next to my bed a night, but I really like the M2 for range use. The M2 is lighter, holds more rounds but recoils harder and cant handle alot of accessories like the M4 can. The M4 is heavier holds less rounds but is more reliable with lower powered rounds and can have as many lights, lasers, grips, scopes, lcd hdtvs, I phones, microwaves, ect. Both the M4 and M2 tactical are drilled and tapped. So it really depends on what you are going to use it for, but you will probably end up owning both like me and many other members here.
  5. I have the Trulock tactical choke for my M4 and it work and looks great. I will buy whatever choke comes out first for my M2 tactical (Trulock or Blackbore). I have been waiting a long time for a tactical choke for the M2.
  6. The best bet would be to wait for a ported tactical choke for the M2 either from Trulock or Blackbore. They both should be available later this year. http://www.trulockchokes.com/cgi-bin/eShop/index.cgi http://www.blackborechokes.com/
  7. You can use 00 buck or slugs but breaching rounds work better on metal locks and hinges. http://www.firequest.com/G12-049.html
  8. I never have had a problem with my tactical choke getting loose and I have the same one you do. I use a Craftsman strap wrench to tighten the choke and it wont come off unless I use the same wrench to loosen it. The same goes for the factory chokes except I use the Benelli choke wrench for those. I refuse to use loctite on any of my chokes.

    m4 stock

Im also waiting on the Urbino for both my M4 and M2. I know alot of people that have been waiting for this stock for a long time. Supposed to be ready this July.
  10. My M2 tactical is also drilled and tapped.
  11. I might have to buy 2 one for the M4 and one for the M2 tactical. They might also be making skeleton stock in the future that looks really cool too. http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=722&p=1 Midway already carries alot of Mesa Tactical products, so I am planning on getting the Urbino from them when it releases this summer.
  12. I have used pelican cases when I was in the military. They are water proof, and damn near bullet proof too. They are nice for long distance travel, but a little too heavy and bulky for frequent range use.
  13. The 5.11 is $99.99 but only holds one, the voodoo is $95.95 and holds 2. I might go with the voodoo now if I can cram both the M4 and M2 tactical and 2 handguns in one bag.

    BlackBore Chokes

Im still looking for a tactical choke for the M2. I have been waiting for Trulock to produce the tactical choke for the M2 for a while now. I will buy the blackbore or trulock, which ever comes out first.
  15. I have been looking at the 5.11 tactical shogun case for the M4 and M2 tactical. Whats the best case out right now?
  16. The M4 uses the standard Benelli/Beretta Mobil chokes. The M2/SBE2 use the longer crio plus chokes. So M2 chokes will not work in a M4 or vice versa. The trulock tactical choke is only made for the M4 right now, but will be made for the M2 soon.
  17. The M2 tactical is, but not the M2 field.
  18. I am in the same situation as you with my M2 tactical. My advice would be to use the factory chokes untill the Trulock tactical choke is made for the M2. It should be available next month. The mag extension sticks out about and inch and a half past the barrel. With the tactical choke installed the choke will be just about even or extend a little past the tube.
  19. "They make them for all benelli's" They dont make the tactical choke for the M2/SBE2 yet.
  20. I use the 5.11 tactical VTAC 2 point padded sling. If you are going to wear a vest or any kind of plate carrier system then you could go with the non padded version and save your self $10. I like the ability to adjust the length by pulling the free-running end. This allows you to transition from strong side to support side and back, so that you can easily switch to a side arm or other weapons. Like others said the QD ones would be a problem until the mesa tactical urbino stock comes out, but you have the collapsible stock anyway. What kind of light setup are you going with?
  21. How much weight/bulk does the sidearmor rail package add? My M4 is already heavy enough. I do like the built in shell carrier option on the sidearmor better than the mesa tactical side saddle though. What mag tube did you end up getting?
  22. Hey M1014, what are those handguard/heatshield things and where can I get them? I have been looking for something like that for my M2 for a long time.
  23. So far the Trulock tactical choke is only made in : Remington Rem Choke, Browning Invector, Mossberg Accu-Choke, Winchester Win Choke, and Benelli (except Crio), and Beretta MobilChoke. So this would only work for guns that use the Benelli Standard choke like the M4. The M2 and SBE2 use Crio Plus, while the Sport2, Super Sport and the Cordoba use the shorter Crio tubes. The standard Benelli/Beretta Mobil Choke (M4) is the shortest and is 2" in overall length and 2" to the top of the threads. The Benelli Crio/Beretta Optima (Sport2, Super Sport, Cordoba) is 2 & 3/4" in overall length and 2 & 3/4" to the top of the threads. The Benelli Crio Plus/Beretta Optima Plus (M2/SBE2) is 2 & 3/4" in overall length, but is only 2" to the top of the treads, so there is 3/4 of choke between the top of the threads and the end of the barrel.
  24. I have also been looking for a tactical choke for my M2 tactical. I emailed George Trulock and he said that the trulock tactical choke for the M2(crio-plus) would be ready around Jan/Feb 2010. The M4 uses standard Benelli/Beretta chokes, while the M2 uses the longer crio-plus. I think the tactical choke would look good on my M2 because the extended tube that I have sticks out about a inch and a half past the barrel. The choke would just about make it even or even extend a little past the tube. So far this is the only breacher or tactical choke that I have seen that will be made in crio-plus. Its also says that it will also improve downrange accuracy with both slugs and buckshot.
  25. Anyone try to fit a comfortech to a MR1 yet?
