    M4 Extension

What shells are you using? Not all 2.75 inch shells are 2.75 inches. If the tube won't hold seven (7) honest-to-goodness 2 3/4 shells I'm gonna say the spring or follower are too long.
  2. I have never used threadlocker on numerous shotgun tubes, Benelli and otherwise. I oil mine. Never had one back out. Having said that it is not a bad idea to use threadlocker on your new tube, particularly if you do not plan on removing it. I recommend common Blue (medium) or even Purple (low). Do not use Red threadlocker unless you want to pull out your heat gun all over again. No need to worry about torque specs. These tubes have a large shoulder; simply turn until said shoulder is flush against the receiver.
  3. From Loxeals website regarding 83-55: "High strength anaerobic adhesive for locking and sealing of studs, nuts, bolts and threaded fasteners not requiring dismantling. It can be used on all metals either on free or forced matings. It provides high resistance to heat, corrosion, vibrations, water, gases, oils and many chemicals."
  4. Carrier Comp Ti/Steel hybrid. The problems is that they have not been available for some time.
  5. Thats nothing. You outta see the stuff Mossberg and Remington produces these days.
  6. Palmetto State Armory has already started, and will get better. $49.99 Lowers and $109.99 Premium BCG.
  7. Looks like around 1300 for a new one, local shop has a new Scratch-n-Dent on sale for 1100. I don't think I'd pay 4 digits for a used gun. But I don't keep up with these things, I was more of a SPAS-12 guy
  8. Swapping in a Recoil Tube will only help that 1014. Nobody wants that single-position tube, unless they're in California As I mentioned earlier: if you're concerned with value then go with a 2-position tube. Then it will be just like a real M1014! Just swap all your old components (buffer, spring, etc) onto to your new tube. But definitely take SD's advice on that flexible ring.
  9. The pricing on 1014s is all over the place. I've seen them sell from $1400 to past $3K. On a normal day folks seem to ask around 2200 for them so 2K will be a reasonable offer. Remember that the M1014s have a fixed choke, narrow extension non-flanged barrel. They're not bad, just not great. Once you get it call Numrich and get one of their 3-posisition recoil tubes, or better yet, a Mil-Spec 2 -position tube!
  10. I've read this thread 10x and still can't figure out what is going on. All Benelli stocks go right on and right off. If you've pulled out a hammer to install a stock.... STOP because something is not right.
  11. This is what I use on all firearms, and specifically the screw-in bead on Mossbergs. I don't recall them ever backing out, and is easy enough to remove as needed.
  12. x2. These shenanigans will not be tolerated.
  13. You have exactly what you need. With the Collapsible Stock you need Four (4) US parts which you have.
  14. I think you're doing it wrong. If the hammer is down the bolt should not be locked. In the regards to Nova I have to be honest and state that I am not familiar with them. However, I have always felt that shotguns are very simple: Benelli autoloaders and Mossberg pumps (not the other way around). This means no Novas and definitely not any 930s. I will not turn the Benelli forum into Mossberg-and-870 contest but I will not own an 870 (again) and have my reasons for it. Also the M590A1 is not the uber-Mossberg that people make it out to be; the Heavy Barrel is useless at best.
  15. I cannot comment on Noble- however stay away from Winchester Universal. It is well known that their quality has really tanked in recent years. Ironically the M4 is the one thing that runs it
  16. Never beveled a receiver. The oversized bolt release is available already tapped and just drops (pins) into place. I will never recommend an oversized release, but others seem to like them.
  17. If anyone has got the FFT handguards recently, in the past year or so, please email me. I have a question for you.
  18. Not desperate just loyal. We could have gotten a Freedom Fighter Ti tube at any time, but why do that when we can wait for Kip?
  19. We do have to remember a year has gone by Ordered two before they close the gate again.
  20. Choke tubes are supposed to be greasy... just not black grease
  21. We'll split this into two parts: whether the guns been fired, and the handling/storage marks. The exterior marks could have come from handling. However; they are excessive and should have been disclosed prior to sale. Most (all?) firearms are test fired before leaving the factory and oftentimes are not cleaned afterward. Therefore new guns have been fired and may very well be dirty. However your gun shows more wear (at the bolt) and filth (choke tube) than would have occurred from cursory factory test firing. We want the link to the Auction! Who's the culprit?
  22. This ^. I don't know why more people are not using them? Some of us don't like hanging a brick off our shotguns, verse... Something that is instantly removable and can be quickly 'reloaded'.
  23. What he said. Or just get a Mesa Tactical stock. I don't care what bad things ya'll say about them
  24. I would never trade my M4 for an AR-rifle. Why don't you get a Palmetto State Armory gun? They're good quality and filthy cheap, that way you could keep both the shotgun and rifle!
