I believe one must consider the weight differences when comparing the metals. Most discussions always have strength to weight ratio factored in. Being from the aircraft industry for the last 32 years, I have a bit of experience with the lighter weight alloys. I really don’t care to get into a debate, just wanted to interject the above. I’ve always used steel tubes, the few ounces of weight savings is not worth the cost, IMO. Then there is the issue of running an aluminum follower in a titanium tube. The clearance is large enough to prevent galling, but the idea makes me cringe.

Mainly how the base interacted with the slot. I think I may give it another go. A bit of blending to the base should get it to where I want it. I understand your point about the QD socket in the cheek rest......may have been a bad idea.

The IWC mount didn’t fit well, a bit of machine work on the mount would have helped out

Been debating this for a while. Was wanting a QD sling socket or my M4 c stock. Tried a few models from IWC, was not happy with the fit. So, I ordered a QD socket from Noveske. I’ve used these before on AR rifle stocks and they have worked wonderfully. When installed the QD socket is nearly flush, only stits about 1/16” above the base material I’ve also considered machining the IWC mount to get it to sit better into the sling loop in the stock body. What works for you?

I’m looking for one of the small snap rings that secure the pin for the loading gate. Anyone know where I can get a spare?

I was into the M1A for quite a while. I used the trigger shoe H2O had......didn’t like it much

Sounds like a valid concern about the trigger shoe. Do you think a flat trigger would better suit you?

Ive been thinking of modifying a set of hand guards, essentially milling an MLOK slot in said positions.

I like the handle as release as well.No need for pic rails on a shotgun. I do have a few ARs with them. My go-to carbine has a keymod rail

Format seems to have a few issues lately. I thought it was generally due to my use of a Mac.Had not thought about the issues the QD would create. It does seem as if it would roll the weapon a bit.

Recently got back into my SuperNovaTac. Been at the Son in Law’s for a bit. Finally replaced the factory PG stock with an Urbino. So much more comfortable.
