  1. No luck finding the false extension. Wife "vaguely" remembers tossing the entire box I had labeled "unused weapon parts" when I was last on, what she calls, "extended work duty" so I'm sure it is gone as it would have been put in there. Sorry. She seems to toss a lot of my stuff when I'm not around to defend it. Guess it's her coping mechanism or maybe she just likes throwing out my stuff
  2. It can be easy. Simple purchase and pow - All good. See here: http://www.halloween-mask.com/finger_extensions_th109mor.htm
  3. We are only about 1/2 way done with the current hanging roll. Maybe I can start blowing my nose with the paper too, instead of a tissue or my wife's shirt, in order to speed up use. I will look through my storage locker next time I'm that way and see if I still have mine. If so you can have it. I was just there and don't remember seeing it in the "cast off" parts bin but I wasn't specifically looking for it so may have just missed it.
  4. The AVA mount is worth the money, IMO. I still have shadowing from the barrel but I don't have an SBS M4. The wolf spring carriercomp sells is only $12 and is known to function well.
  5. I've learned something else new today. I would have never guessed that color was called dark earth. My LGS has an M4 in that color scheme and it looks more of a bronze to me.
  6. Is carriercomp the only source for the wolf spring for the m4? I can't find it on wolf's website.
  7. It is worth $150 US and the best place to get rid of it is my local FFL. I will pay you twice what it is worth and pay for shipping. Haven't seen one for sale in a long time.
  8. I believe that this price would be impossible to beat cobbling together both units and will beat many seller's rmr only price.
  9. Fellas, outfly2 has not signed onto the forum since Jan 2013. Not sure you are going to get a response.
  10. Oops. reading comprehension fail. 5... 7... close enough for government work ha ha.
  11. About the same as the weight of the extra shells that are carried.
  12. This may not work at all but what about just using a flexible plastic epoxy to bond your two halves together at the bottom? They are used for automotive flexible plastic bumper repairs. It would allow you to flex the fore end pieces outwards for removal while staying connected along that bottom (long) edge and remain in one piece. Think of it like a hinge joint.
  13. You are probably correct in the bending. I would probably get rid of it if I were you and definitely wouldn't trust it ever in the future. Just so happens that I am looking for a damaged M4 myself to hang on a wall as a conversation piece and would gladly take your unsafe to fire M4 off of your hands for a reasonable price.
  14. Unless you knocked off the front sight or something obvious (and I highly doubt you did anything really)... I would tend to say the shotgun did more damage to your back than you did to it.
  15. If you are in no rush, check here http://www.benelliusa.com/shop/stocks-forends/m4-stocks regularly. The field stock availability comes and goes. Select "standard stock" in the drop down.
  16. There are multiple options that have been tried in this thread: http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/32451-New-Product-Announcement-Benelli-M4-Mount-from-AVATactical-com-Discount-Available
  17. I don't think I have ever seen a weapon, other than a safe queen, that is without some form of wear and tear markings on them. Brass hitting ejection ports, slides wearing off finishes, bluing wearing off from drawing and holstering, etc. They are tools and just like tools, when they are used, the have markings of intended use. If you intended to fire the weapon, it will get marks on it from that intended use. If you intended to leave it mark/scuff free, it needed to stay in a safe or the factory box with the intended use of being a safe queen. I see nothing other than normal wear and tear from intended use on that shotgun and not even wear and tear that will eventually affect normal function of the weapon.
  18. Contact this guy: http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/32286-My-improved-M4-it-s-now-a-10-shot
  19. That looks like intended use (not meaning functioning as intended) and looks much better to me than the fancy scroll work all over the side of the shotgun.
