  1. Uh, no, the guy was full of it. I’ve shot 00 buck, #4 buck, and slugs through mine. All 2 3/4 loads. The M4 does like to be broken in with full strength loads, so just avoid the low recoil stuff at first.
  2. You have an indoor range that allows you to shoot buck?
  3. I’d check out the ADM mount. I have used their mounts across platforms and optic types and have had great luck. I currently use an ADM Low for my T-2 on my M4. They make an RMR one: https://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/241/
  4. I replaced the OEM spring with the Wolff in my factory 7 round tube. Now I’m able to get 7 Federal buckshot in there.
  5. Thanks SD. I was reading up about ArmorLube as well. Seems like an interesting NP3 alternative.
  6. Is there a way to get the benefits of NP3 while preserving a darker color?
  7. This looks interesting. Might pick it up to give it a whirl.
  8. Thanks, that’s helpful! It’s rock solid. You basically can set your preferred angle and then tighten the screws at the top. I’ve put a bunch of buckshot and slugs through it and it’s stayed put.
  9. Ah, and then that replacement body us screwed directly into the two holes on the scout mount? Still debating whether I like the current light position or not. One benefit is that it doesn’t jam into my thumb from recoil, but the downside is that I do have to adjust my hand position to activate.
  10. So, this may be a dumb question, but how exactly do Scout lights mount to the IWC Scout Mount? I have one of the Pros that comes with the low profile 1913 mount, so I just used the 1913 version of the IWC. However, I don’t see how it would actually be screwed onto the scout mount otherwise. Close up pic below of mine:
  11. This is one of my reference builds. Just waiting for that Briley to get back in stock!
  12. Haley Strategic D3. Padded, but not nearly as bulky as other padded offerings. Awesome adjustment system too. Little pricey, but worth it for me.
  13. Didn’t see one, so figured I’d start with mine. New M4 owner

Welcome to the club! Here's the best FAQ on it: https://freedomfightertactical.com/pages/922r-faq
  15. I dont use it on my M4, but I have an RMR on my Glock 19 and would not go larger than 3.25 MOA. Unless you have vision problems, I think the 6 MOA is too big.

    M4 Final Setup

That would be great! I'm a lefty and am considering the 8 round side saddle, but wondering if the last couple of rounds will bite into my hand when firing.

    M4 Final Setup

Have you tried shooting it left handed? I’m wondering if the bigger side saddle causes issues at all.
  18. Shamelessly jumping on this thread to lobby y'all to bring back a Sync mount for the Aimpoint Micro

    M4 Final Setup

How do you like the sight picture with that Hensoldt? Doesn't appear to co-witness with your irons, but assuming that's a non-issue for you?
  20. Thanks for the replies all. Looks like the MI one (unless Scalarworks brings back the Sync) is the only option for a cowitnessed T2 mount. Of course, with the angled collapsible stock and changing sight picture depending on where it’s positioned, perhaps cowitnessing is not that important.
  21. It’s a little spendy, but I run a Haley Strategic D3 sling. It’s padded but not nearly as bulky as a VCAS or other products out there. Great adjustment system and the ability to easily move from 2 pt to 1 pt as needed.
  22. Any suggestions for the best Aimpoint T2 mount for the M4? I cant seem to find the Midwest Industries version in stock anywhere. Are there any others that allow for co-witnessing with the iron sights?
  23. Thanks! I also tried Federal LE Tactical 00 Buckshot (the Flite-Control stuff) and same issue in terms of only being able to get 6 rounds in the tube. Really liked how it patterned though, so might have to figure out this spring reduction thing.

    IWC mount

Yeah, I originally ordered the pic rail version because I have one of the new Scout Light Pros that comes with a low-profile integrated mount. However, I can confirm that even that mount doesn't allow you to get as close as the Scout mount. Earl from IWC confirmed that they designed the pic rail primarily for folks wanting to use X300s, Inforce WMLs, and other such lights. I think "traditional" lights are best addressed via ring mounting.
