  1. Two M4’s both running SRO’s w/Jagerworks BROS. The SRO’s replaced two RMR’s that I thought would never leave my M4’s, but for my eyes I really took to the larger sight radius and ability to change battery from the top, IMO improved overall & never looked back. Only reason I went ahead and installed the BROS was fear..from all the people running RMR’s that constantly say the RMR(and Trijicon) is more tough/battle tested. I went with 2.5 MOA dot for both SRO’s, I would have gone with the smallest 1.0 dot but my aging eyes gravitate to a touch larger dot.
  2. To eqracing, that is really a pathetic “remedy”..that Benelli provided to your M4 barrel. After all, it is the BARREL..only the receiver/bolt could be more critical to the gun. Obviously due to onset of the pandemic and ongoing frenzy with back orders & catch up with production demands, Benelli has/is still displaying their strategy of dismissive, cheaper-alternatives & quick solutions with defects and quality control. In your case, instead of immediately installing a new barrel under warranty(likely because lack of availability)which they would have done pre-pandemic, they blasted it & applied Alumahyde..with paperwork saying “at least it won’t rust now”..validating that even the tech who did the work knows a new barrel swap was in order AND barrel swap would have taken much less time, materials & labor. Everyone experiencing these similar defects & problems with newer purchases over the last 2 years shows it’s poor production & quality control from Benelli and NOT Hundreds of end-users & customers who are being stupid-pain-in the-asses that have unrealistic expectations. Just sad state of affairs compounded by Benelli unwilling to admit & own it like they did for decades. Some years back I visited & had a tour of the Benelli plant in Urbino, Italy, it’ an incredible modernized & super state of the art facility with computer-controlled-robotics..it was as clean as a hospital too.
  3. Finally got around to installing another Limbsaver to my second M4. Stranger as always is spot on, the new plastic material Limbsaver switched to for the plate ain’t very cooperative when drilling & progressing up to a 7/8” hole, took me a while longer this time but she’s tight n’ right now! Btw..wtf is up with the Limbsaver packing statement: “Designed with Anti-Muzzle Jump Technology”??…sounds like a FlexSeal info-mercial!
  4. I own two M4’s and shoot them quite a bit, I have experimented & dialed in patterning with a ton of different brands & loads. My experiences relative to overall cycle-reliability is to always stay at/above 1250 fps loads, seems other people have validated this as well. Specific to Federal LE13200( 9 pellet 00 1145 fps low recoil)..over the years I have tried it specifically numerous times and experienced failures to cycle, some might call it short-stroking. I have been cursed with OCD with cleaning & maintaining firearms, so when my M4’s are freshly cleaned & wet they will initially cycle the Federal LE13200 but will eventually run into cycle failures. The M4 can definitely be set up & tweaked accordingly to allow for lighter loads, bird shot, etc..but that is not what the M4 is designed or intended for, further validated by it’s love & reliability of heavier pressure loads.
  5. Congrats on the new A&S housing and trigger pack install! Yesterday, after waiting nearly 2 years for notification from Midwest Gun Works that they received/back in stock of Benelli M4 Trigger group(oem polymer housing)..I immediately went to order one but they had already sold out in just 20 minutes!!! Midwest only received a limited number of trigger groups and said no clue when more might be coming, so back to waiting again for notification. Gotta say, Midwest Gun Works only charges $183.75 for the Benelli OEM trigger group..while FFT charges( more like ass-rape) $1,000 for oem(sold out)..and charges $900 w/A&S housing. Benelliparts.net and a couple other places also considerably mark up the trigger group, but they have been of stock as well. I get it, Benelli has been long behind & continues to play catch up with production of back orders, but the price-gouging-by-demand-behavior that are displayed by some smaller businesses is sickening..personally I believe it will come back to haunt them in the long term.
  6. I wonder some times if I am the only person that views THE ultimate validation of the M4 being King of battle type/tactical semi-auto shotguns..are the countless comparisons made by all the other shotgun manufacturers vs. the M4 out there?? Pointing out/comparing subjective items such as; weight, ergos, trigger, looks, perceived recoil, reliability, etc..against the M4..further defines the Legacy of the M4 and it’s modern history in military & civilian world wide, alongside a patent that expired which allowed other manufacturers to say…”hey look at our version”. To be clear, I’m not a “Benelli Fan boy”..but damn the M4 gets close to perfect,
  7. Nice work & genius routing of ur items Stranger..as usual..and A++ on the overall aesthetics, she’s a hottie & no doubt throws down & performs!!

    M4 weight

Never experienced any noticeable mag tube flex when shooting my M4s, I own 3 and all have CC Titanium mag tubes..but there’s certainly insignificant-residual flex during recoil whether titanium or steel tubes. Not exactly sure how residual mag tube flex could/would be affecting accuracy when shooting..unless during recoil there is significant enough mag tube flex that results in impacting or affecting the barrel.
  9. Just wanted to pass along Merry Christmas & Happy New Year wishes to everyone and your families on this forum..which I have found to be the very best & most resourceful firearm forum found anywhere! Raise a toast and cheers to all owners of the best practical designed, most reliable, multi-war-battle proven, semi auto 12 gauge shotgun ever made..the honorable Benelli M4..cheers!!
  10. WOW with a major eye-roll! That shotgun looks scary..complete with hose clamp & electrical tape! I totally get it, you have to improvise & make-do with what you’ve got..but that shotgun validates why hunters & firearm enthusiasts in America that generally follow the rules and practice safety first and proper maintenance, we end up having to endure/suffer all the ridiculous enforced hunting & firearm laws, restrictions, violations, etc. The fact the dude was walking on the road and tried to “conceal it along the roadway” when the officers rolled up speaks volumes..Shocker! ..the dude was also a convicted felon & prohibited from possessing a firearm. I’m not to far from Clarksburg W. VA..beautiful county and a major FBI facility is located there. Daily routine our police officers all over the country have to deal with, hats off to em’!
  11. Being a enthusiast of tactical firearms & shooting..and luv for all/anything Benelli M4..thought I’d share a pretty eye-popping experience with this forum. Where I live in Virginia I attended an exclusive & private event for a soon to open state of the art indoor shooting & fitness facility. There was a rep. from Holland & Holland shotguns that brought approx. a dozen shotguns. Holland & Holland is based in London England and has been making shotguns since late 1800’s. The purchase prices of the shotguns the rep. brought to the event were $75,000 to over $190,000… holy shit Batman! Clearly world-class sporting side by side & over under sporting shotguns that are works of art & intricately built(each one takes 1+ year to build)..meticulously engraved steel, tolerances/lock ups were seamless to handle, removable polished steel trigger-groups(w/dozens of small parts & failure points!) and the balance-swing-feeling was something to behold..but..naahh..at the end of the day I’ll take my Benelli M4’s with personal mods all day/every day. Maybe if I was a billionaire?..hmm..I might have me sum Holland & Holland and also Cosmi shotguns and other collector firearm pieces on display to show friends at Christmas while sipping brandy and discussing our next fox hunt with beagles & horseback.
  12. Man..the intended resolve..or more accurately the lack of resolve..with this clearly malfunctioning part by Benelli is really pathetic. Sorry to hear Benelli is chasing their tail around vs. not properly addressing your M4. The work done to the bolt(attempted anyway) looks like it was passed off to a espresso machine repair man..it’s like Benelli got mad & took it out on your bolt for bothering them!
  13. Never have/will understand why it gets dumped onto the purchasing-customer to be; rational, patient, understating & embrace that manufacturers can have errors with quality oversight. This results in problems dropped into the paying customer’s lap to resolve..and the process of hearing from other people about..”what terrific customer service they have”..and..”they will make it right/fix it”..whether timely or not it’s incredibly frustrating because you didn’t pay money to have problems. Most frustrating is hearing the regurgitated term..”bad batches”..and so on. With firearms these excuses are 99% avoidable with steadfast & committed multi-point quality inspections, including functioning several times over before the gun is finally put into a shipping box..many companies claim they do this but few stand by it. Albeit, damage can still occur during shipping.

    Rmr vs t2 for m4

+1 on SRO w/ Jagerwerks BROS that adds the missing “battle toughness” when compared to the RMR that some people point out. I’ve adapted & run the SRO-JW BROS combo on 2 Benelli M4’s and various other firearms, several of which had RMR’s that are now installed on pistols. When the SRO was released, I was skeptical it could compare/surpass the RMR along with the amount of $$$ I already spent on multiple RMR’s. However, the immediate & significantly larger field of view, easier target acquisition and topside battery access of the SRO won me over in practical application and I never looked back. Some automatically dismiss the SRO and point to it’s “larger/higher/forward lip” dimensions..which are so fractionally small while the SRO still retains the identical footprint/mount size as the RMR. When adding the Jagerworks BROS as a protective barrier for the SRO, some people point to the inherit “extra bulk”..just ridiculous..IMO only. Different strokes for different folks and each to their own..I prefer to objectively experience, acknowledge & apply newly developed technologies & improved firearms products for my benefit.
  15. Kalor, Kalor & Kalor..any model they make..best competition-level made in the business..hand made & engineered in USA but $$$$. Highest quality, fit & swing balance is incomparable, performance focused…except for Perazzi or Krieghoff fanboys who like Italian or German shotgun engineering & both have been around much longer than Kalor.

    Panzer M4 Shotgun

Stoeger Industries is HQ’d in Accokeek, Maryland..and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benelli..and Benelli is owned by/parent of Beretta. Beretta also owns; Uberti, Sako, Franchi, Tikka..Steiner Optics..and BurrisOptics.
  17. Benelli will never admit their drop in quality control over the last18 months relative to the M4 platform. In Benelli’s defense, the stars all aligned for them..Covid shutdowns + annual Italian factories shutdown every month of August + expiration of M4 ARGO system patent. Additionally, once the patent expired on the ARGO system, at least 3 Turkish clones of the M4 hit the market for half and even 1/3 the price the price of Benelli..and there will likely be more M4 clones coming. It will be interesting what course Benelli takes with their M4 platform..they have already validated that widespread “minor” quality control flaws are now allowed that we’re NOT allowed to leave Italy prior, clearly a strategic decision made by Benelli and their present day approach to the M4..albeit a very sad one to me anyway.
  18. +1 here with Genetically Swiss, MrMilitaryPolice & StupidManThing..that being a**-raped when knowingly paying an extremely inflated price for any item/service due to demand vs. availability..is a bridge to cross by each individual..but certainly not a pointless thought or useless complaint when someone feels ripped off. While it is part of a thriving Capitalist system to charge excessively for whatever legitimate or illegitimate reason, I am a person who takes off my clothes before I get f**ked. Like last month when our hot water heater was failing to make hot water, I was out of town & my wife called our already under-contract ac/heat company to come out and they said to fix the problem it would cost $640. I told my wife not to do anything & came home the following week to take a look at things..and I replaced the failed thermocouple(ignites the hot water heater) with a new $9.00 unit from Home Depot that took me all of 15 minutes to replace. I also called & cancelled our contract with the ac/heat company and found another one. Logistics supply chain due to COVID and whatever else..to me THAT is the definition of pointless thought and useless complaining..aka: BS!!
  19. Wow..nice work sonyman74! She’ a sexy wireless communication device..can only imagine the pleasure it must be getting behind her & making long distance calls! +1 on those TriggerTech Diamonds..dropped one into an AR10 over a year ago & then replaced nearly every rifle I own with those Diamonds..perfectly named trigger!
  20. Damnit!! Looks like missed out on this deal..decided I wanted to have a spare to swap if/when needed between my two M4’s. Just validates.. being late on the trigger always sucks!!
  21. Correct, sorry did not mean to suggest the USMC purchased new M4’s from Benelli. From what I was told the USMC may have requested (via RFP?) from Benelli a more resistant finish, but only for/applied to the M4 receiver itself to meet the request. Essentially, the existing anodizing process was improved upon..or “hardened”.. resulting in the rather broad-blue color variance of the receiver customers are receiving recently. The existing M4 receiver nomenclature remains unmodified across the various offered models/platforms. From a manufacturing process and to streamline production, it is certainly practical to produce all the M4 receivers consistently in the same manner & steps..therefore extending the new hardened finish across all M4 receivers. If this is the case, just don’t understand why Benelli would not pronounce the new-hardened-finish of the ever-vital receiver and with it comes the disclosure of the known color variance. A possible reason..and this is only my ignorant opinion..is disclosing the known color variance of the receiver will scare off any potential buyers who want an all black M4.
  22. Can’t ever go wrong with BFG Vickers for sure. For options, check out both Armageddon Gear carbine sling & Rifles Only carbine sling. I tried one or other on various AR platforms and both are duty-built, & ergo (small bungee neck-section)& insanely fast adjust, switched over everything from BFG including shotties! Rifles Only is a rather unique design, the thumb/finger loop adjust has no sling-slack..so there’s no dangling slack to get in way or caught anywhere. Observed some 3-gunners running Rifles Only who typically run chest rigs full of mags, etc. and they refuse to fumble around with dangling sling slack getting caught in gear..I was like hmmm??..even though I have never done any 3 gun seemed like a functional upgrade. Some people don’t like the small bungee neck section & the slight “stretch” but it’s insignificant and doesn’t bother me at all..and no more neck chafing!
  23. Easy fix as Stranger pointed out, nonetheless poor inspection-oversight by Benelli for a $2K+ Shotgun. If unnoticed over time that little bur will likely break off during cycling and could cause further issue/damage. Obviously COVID broadly impacts every company’s abilities vs. production catch up vs. quality control (and now Italy is another COVID lock down). Come on Benelli inspect closely this is your reputation!!
  24. Spoke with a DoD contact that relayed Benelli’s explanation is odd regarding blueish M4 receiver color variance is result of US military request for improved/hardened finish..because it’s unlikely that Benelli would incur the extra steps & costs involved to specifically meet newer US military needs and then simply extend the same application to all civilian model M4’s. If Benelli is automatically extending the improved hardened anodizing process to all civilian M4 models at no cost, then why not pronounce & tout the improved finish of the vital receiver and color variance? Stranger D. may have called it right from the jump..guys at the plant in Italy have to much olive oil on their hands at the acid tanks lol!!
  25. Thanks Electric7, was waiting for someone to validate a newly purchased M4 that came with a black receiver vs. blueish finish. Early in 2020, Italy was in shut/lock down several times due to the vast spread of Covid throughout the country. However, when Benelli returned to a significantly rapid backlog of production they had developed/introduced a “newer & more resilient” anodizing process with broad color variance for the M4 receiver??..that apparently ONLY applies to the M4 receiver?? During the past year+ it’s possible that the USMC requested a more resilient finish applied to the M4 receiver(as some were told by Benelli)..but that’s what Titanium-Cerakote (H2O model) is for and they could have simply applied black Cerakote to meet the USMC request. Might just look into this as I have some good contacts within DoD and USMC.
