  1. The furry part whatever you want that works. The shell holding elastic part? Vang Comp is the only one I like. Ive used esstac and soe, and the Vang is night and day better.

  2. Try www.bwleather.com Barbed wire leather I bought something similar to the one in your pic. They might be able make one like yours.

  6. Just ordered both, worst case if I don't like one I could always slap it on another gun.

  7. I have both. The Vang Comp are slightly more rigid. Stiff is always better when advancing.

  8. This is why I velcro it to the gun. Sidesaddle. You're going to use what you've got, and what you've gots the gun. Where I live, there is no help. LE may or may not respond, and if they choose to, its 45 minutes minimum.

  9. I'm an old school guy, So, my first "go to" is to convert the metric to imperial to see if there is a common item here in the USA. Sure enough the 1.20 mm wire is = to 3/64 inch ( .047) ... just saying ! Joe

  10. Just FYI, I am getting many of these springs custom made for my up and coming 6 position recoil tube, in T302 stainless spring wire, the idea that it sells for $22 on some retailer websites is almost criminal, I know how much these are to make... It isn't quite worth the hassle for me to sell them individually to those that want it, but I might sell packs of 4 or 5 for $10-$15 in the future for spare parts if there's demand for it. Fastenal and Mcmaster does not have the size that is needed. The ring is actually around 17.8mm OD free, and 15.5mm ID free. The gap is about 8.5mm or so. when compressed, the ID reaches 15mm inside the tube, to retain the plunger. -Robb

  11. I own two M4’s and shoot them quite a bit, I have experimented & dialed in patterning with a ton of different brands & loads. My experiences relative to overall cycle-reliability is to always stay at/above 1250 fps loads, seems other people have validated this as well. Specific to Federal LE13200( 9 pellet 00 1145 fps low recoil)..over the years I have tried it specifically numerous times and experienced failures to cycle, some might call it short-stroking. I have been cursed with OCD with cleaning & maintaining firearms, so when my M4’s are freshly cleaned & wet they will initially cycle the Federal LE13200 but will eventually run into cycle failures. The M4 can definitely be set up & tweaked accordingly to allow for lighter loads, bird shot, etc..but that is not what the M4 is designed or intended for, further validated by it’s love & reliability of heavier pressure loads.

  12. 1. My M4 literally eats anything so whatever’s available at the time. 2. Don’t shoot slug in my m1014 3. Federal is what I typically use. 4. Same as #2

  13. I’ve been meaning to post my not so scientific bolt handle comparisons for a while. I’ve been slacking but this seems like the perfect thread. In the photo below we have FFT NP3 steel charging handle, Benelli M4 OEM, KZ NP3 steel charging handle and a new revision TTI charging handle. By measuring with calipers I gathered some rough data. I measured from receiver facing side of the handle to the end of the shaft where it engages the detent inside of the carrier. Take these figure with a grain of salt but I believe they are a pretty close representation. Again this is from the receiver end of the handle (the part where the shaft begins) to the end of the shaft. In inches. FFT: 1.172 BM4 OEM: 1.184 KZ: 1.19 TTI: 1.21 My motivation for doing this was due to the fact that I perceived the FFT handle to sit quite close to the receiver. I noticed that if I inserted it with a little too much force it comes in contact with the receiver. This is not a knock against FFT or their handle. It’s just my personal experience and one could even say possible operator error on my part. In any event I wasn’t comfortable with the close proximity of the handle to the receiver. Todd sells oodles of these. Just some food for thought. As you can see from these examples in this particular “experiment” I found the TTI handle to have the most clearance or buffer if you will.
