    M1 patterns left

    1. What yardage are you patterning at? 2. What loads and size shot? -or- are we talking slugs here? 3. Are you on a bench with the sand bags?
  4. I'd look at buyimg her a Beretta 391 Urika short stock in 12g first then look at the 20g The Beretta gas system will be less abusive to her small frame.. but, having said that .... take her out shopping and have her shoulder every gun that you can get your hands on and make the decision based on fit and feel /// I'm guessing the Beretta will be at the top.
  5. sort of a poor quality picture to get a good look threeshot .. who knows..? just doesn't make sense that the flat has got wear on it since its not in direct contact with anything..?? possible finish flaws ?? [ 12-04-2004, 11:05 AM: Message edited by: birddog ]
  6. hasn't made any adverse effects with mine .. how ever its in my hands is the way its gone in.
  7. I'm partial to longer barrels myself .. there are plenty of opinions and view points on this one .. expect to get a large range of answers.
  8. Congrats Mudhen!!! thats something to remember and talk about for the rest of your life ..!!
  9. sorry FEZ .. " NO SOUP FOR YOU !! "
  10. Hello threeshot - Happy Holidays to ya! I'll need to take a look for the research data as it's been a few years since I've referenced to it.. The site (Remington's article) is correct on the development of newer propellents (powders) having faster burn rates. . . but, even with-in specific powder manufacturers - burn rates vary from product to product and to say that they've been able to concentrate the burn with-in the first 10-14" is a little vague. When cleaning your gun from time to time you'll see or pick-up unspent powder in your reciever and barrel.. ..this in itself tells you that not all the powder/propellent is being burned upon ignition/firing in the first 10-14" of the barrel. That in itself is another can of worms but, I'm sure you can reason the longer barrel / increased velocity reasonings by just this alone.. I'll look around for the technical reference and throw it up here If I find it once again .. but, then again .. I've been looking for a few socks to show up for the past few months too take care threeshot [ 12-04-2004, 10:40 AM: Message edited by: birddog ]
  11. HAHA .. well .. as far as the shims are concerned you're looking at making the most adjustment in the rise at comb and heel it sounds like.. have you been measured for a stock fitting?
  12. All good information up to the Velocities .. Its tested and proven that with with every 2 inches of length from 24" on up that muzzle velocities increase at a general rate of 5-10 fps per every 2" of increased length to the barrel. So from 24" to 28" muzzle velocities will generaly increase 10-20fps. IMO .. try sticking with the longer lengths for the reasons previously listed. looks great M1014 .. does it come in camo??

    supersport

I'd take it back to the dealer you bought it from and have him deal with the replacement.. that's what they've got the dealership license for also.. They should replace it at no charge..no problem there unless it is a mis-use/abuse concern. get it back in ASAP so the ball starts rolling! Good Luck w/it
  15. M1014 - but, then you have to relace your shoe ..
  16. M1014 ... you said "buttcuffs" .... Holy Crap Batman ... whats the deal you playin for the 'other' team.
  17. scottlee - welcome first of all. . . second It may vary gun to gun with the super light loads. I haven't gone under 1oz @ 1300 yet and no problems out of mine. If anything - I'll be taking a step up in pellet count/wieght to 1-1/8 oz at aprox. same speed.
  18. welcome first of all .. a std M1 rifled barrel is what you want ... you can use rifled slugs in the smooth bore barrel too.
  19. well fez ... good luck with the bruin! let the Mag eat! tucker .. relax my friend .. plenty of respect here ... take a look at the peep sight on the bow string. I waited many days and passed much larger deer waiting for a clean confident heart shot. ..was actually the third time I saw this guy... but, he was the one that gave me the shot. 25-30 yds then colapsed and skid to a stop... dead .. that my freind IS respect. Congrats no tox! first thing you need to do is find a host site for the pictures.. heres a few. 1st one is easier.. www.tinypic.com or www.hunt101.com follow the directions ..( just hit the browse tab) and it will take you into your pictures or you will need to direct it to the file. click on the picture ... copy the url that it gives you (top box on bottom of screen) come back to here and hit the image button then paste the url that you copied into the prompt window that pops up ... then hit 'OK'... hit
  21. I happen to like them .. flat, simple and easy to carry in a pocket. I think its actually better than the old ones for these reasons. If ya have problems getting the wrench into the Full choke, turn it on its side and use the the thumb/finger handle to loosen /tighten.
  22. Good one tucker.. Rich H- Hi, where are you in WI? [ 11-12-2004, 12:34 PM: Message edited by: birddog ]
