  3. Click here for my cleaning guide. That's the way I do it. Others may have more to offer.
  4. I think that Beretta's gonna be a problem in Illinois
  5. You need to either move to a free state or do something about the illegal restrictions in your own state.

  7. It's been a while, but I believe you can manually manipulate the bolt catch lever to make the bolt stay opened without a magazine installed.
  8. .243 would be an easy transition from the .308, since the .308 is the .243's pappy. As for non-big game cartridges, I'd have to doubt it. You can get highly accurate and cheaper Ar's in all of those calibers and more. Browning can also help you with the .243 in many variations of the BAR.
  9. I'm not 100% sure, but I'd be very diappointed if the Cordoba's receiver was drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It's a high volume bird gun. Not much use for optics in that scenario.
  10. I'm not sure what you mean by slow cycle, but if you're having problems and it's consitent across several brands of ammo, then you need to talk with Customer Service.

  12. I've got a four year old SBEII. If you offered me a brand new M2 and $300 cash for it, I'd turn you down. Once you've taken the SBEII apart and cleaned it there's no going back to a traditional style gun.
  13. Mossberg or Savage?
  14. Shoes. Definitely shoes.
  15. Saw it a few weeks ago. I was amazed when the barrel didn't rip open.

    MP5

I thought the MP5 was a machine pistol made by HK
  17. My 4 year old $1400 black synthetic comfortech SBEII has no rust and shows only normal signs of wear in other places. Cared for properly, the black finish is fine. Ignore it, or any other finish, and it will begin to show the signs of neglect. The camo finishes will eventually get their bumps, nicks, and bruises, but it can be a more carefree finish, because there are fewer exposed metal parts. I don't think the camo guns are finished before dipping. The dipping process clads the metal surfaces in a vinyl material, making them impervious to moisture. When the finish chips, simply touch it up with camo paint. Solvents used in cleaning supplies and insect repellents can harm the camo finish, bleaching them out and making them brittle. Use a damp cloth and wipe down the exterior finishes. Clean the barrel and interior components as you would any other firearm. 50-60 3.5" per outing? Are you shooting snow geese, or are you skybusting? Anyway, like the man says, if that kind of abuse doesn't bother you with the Nova, then the SBEII sure isn't going to hurt anymore. I'm not convinced about all of the marketing claims on recoil reduction on the comfotech system, but I've never had a problem mine either, so who cares? As far as pricing goes, you'll simply need to shop around. I bought mine at Gander Mountain and got a good deal. Reeds in MN sells online and will ship to an FFL dealer for transfer to you. Shipping and transfer will run you about $50 - $60 additional, so keep that in mind. Gunbroker, GunsAmerica, AuctionArms, etc. can produce some good deals from time to time. I'll continue to use mine as is until the finish gets fugly. Then I'll send it to Bridsong or another reputable smith and have quality coating applied to it.
  18. They're just running up the post count so they can post URL's. Say bye bye.
  19. I'm 'bout dead now.
  20. I said I'd wait. In West VA or Arkansas, she'd be a grandma in two years .
  21. Well, I can sure tell where all the looks in that family went to . She's a real sweetheart, and you... well, no sense in beating a dead horse... literally. She does look a bit young though. Tell her I'll wait for her . Nice job with the .243! I'd rather put 100 grains on the mark than put 200 grains somewhere close any day. I'd rent that house just for the access to that paradise. Now stop parading that pig around for the paparazzi and get to skinning!
  22. Pretty strict laws on shipping ammo. Be careful and know the rules.
  23. Gun? Load? Scope? Girl's name & number?
