  1. I did not renew that domain and let all of the files go. PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send you the guide.
  2. The whole story is a bit more complicated, but that's a decent broad summation. The velocity and accuracy differences are hardly discernable to the average hunter, who rarely shoots game over 250 yards. But to the long range target shooter, sniper, and long range hunter, the differences are worth their attention.
  3. For the large part, Roy is correct, but each caliber has its optimum length and some believe optimum barrel time. The velocity gain is not constant, meaning that 20" more barrel will not yield a velocity gain of 3,000 fps. That's the basics. The physics can go WAY deeper with harmonic resonance, stress waves, reflection, pressures, acoustics..... The Browning BOSS and Sims deresonator attempt to alter lessen these variable by "tuning" the barrel. Long range precision rifles will go 30" or more in some cases, while hunting lengths vary from 20" to 26" making for lighter and shorter rifles.
  4. Well, that's gonna leave a mark . Well done, my young friend!
  5. My wife is pretty strict about what gets mounted in our house too.
  6. Given your particular circumstances, I'd say the 20" is the way to go.
  7. Parts manuals available here . Remove the trigger group. Tap out the retaining pin (watch the spring!) Remove the spring and detent. Slide the crossbolt out and reverse it. Drop the detent back in. Drop the spring back in. Compress the spring slightly and slide the pin back in. Test. If you have trouble with these instructions, take it to a gunsmith. If you ever sell or trade the gun, switch the safety back.
  8. Breakfree CLP or Hoppes Elite are my top two choices.
  9. Uhmm.....doesn't that one kinda answer itself?
  10. Sell it and get something else. Benelli makes some nice 20 ga. guns.
  11. Nice shot! Still waiting on the 14th here.
  12. Well, it IS BenelliUSA.com, after all. Sorry they don't have a BenelliMexico.com, but it's really not my problemo. And I don't think LOD, Jr. was wrong in recommending that proper English should be the goal. I would even go so far as to say that mexicanshooter agrees with this goal. He's already made some effort towards English, and I'm sure he'd be OK with getting better at it. ****, he's aleady HOGWILD beat most days
  13. Others have had similar experiences. There have been a number of fixes and solutions discussed. Taping the finger. Wearing gloves. Hold the gun more firmly. Change your grip to get the finger farther away from the guard. Recoil reducers. It's pretty much a common sense thing and a matter of choosing which solution works best for you.

  16. And now, we see the logic of my answer . Follow mudlip's advice and try an aftermarket pad. You can even install a mercury reducer as well, and still save a shload of cash.
  17. No, it isn't.
  18. That second picture looks like a Photoshop job to me. And not a very good one either. Other than the fact that it looks like Benelli Photoshopped the Beretta stock onto a Nova, I'd say they are identical.
  19. deadbird, Yes, of course you can get an oversized safety for the Nova. Brownells Part Number 301-000-355 . I apologize for missing your Q the first time around. Sometimes one will get by me.
  20. Thanks for posting back with excellent information. I hope it all works perfectly for you. Give us an update when you get the chance to field test it.
  21. Yes, with some careful drilling, one of those should work. Some other R1 owner may be able to measure the width of the bottom of their rail and help you with which width you'll need.
  22. Now that's a diverse seller
