  1. Won't work. The C&H model that replaces the magazine cap will work.

    Finally!

You don't owe me a thing amigo. I just wish I could have done more. I expect the cumulative effect of the holiday, employees taking time off, and the middle of hunting season has pretty much turned Benelli CS into the equivalent of a KFC grand opening in Ethiopia.
  3. Dang! I just missed that bit of advice by about 30 minutes. I was able to split the order in two and get both discounts, but I had to pay shipping on one of them.
  4. Observations and comments: 1. You were patterning high-center, yet you adjusted for more cast off - why? 2. You shot well on out and away targets. This means that the gun shooting "high" is helping you on these types of targets. That means that you are aiming too low to begin with. 3. European shotguns are not designed and sighted the same as American shotguns. Americans like to cover the bird on the vertical axis. Europeans like to see the entire bird "floating" above the sight plane. Summary. There is nothing wrong with you and there is nothing wrong with the gun. You just don't go together that well. Either figure out a way to get the gun to come to you, by compounding shims or adapt to the way the gun was designed to be aimed and fired.... or get something else.
  5. Yeah. I got that. Shipping is $18.50 and my other coupon is $20. Can't use both, so I guess I'll just use the one with the biggest payoff.
  6. If you have something good for $200 or more, and you're not going to use it, shoot me a PM. I've got $236 in the cart now, but I can add something to go to $250 if the discount is worth it. I already have a $20 off $120, but more would be better.
  7. No, you would have way too much money left in your wallet.
  8. Shoot it first and then decide.
  9. You can also get condensation from temperature changes that will cause enough moisture to create a freeze up. I'd definitely recommend switching to a CLP and running her a little drier if you're going to be hunting in sub-freezing temps. Hoppes also makes a dry lube. http://www.hoppes.com/products/dri_lube.html Great pics, by the way!
  10. What are you using now? I've never had a problem with Hoppes Elite or Breakfree, but I always wipe the parts down to nearly dry.
  11. They appear to be fading from all of that Florida sun. You'd better invest in some of this.
  12. It does not appear that the original thread will be restored. So we will start another one. Hopefully, with regard to spammers, one day the people who run this place will realize that the cure lies in prevention, not surgery. Please post your pictures again.
  13. I have posed that very question, but have received no answer yet.
  14. From one of the mods - "Hello Tucker, We have been hit HARD by SPAMMERS over this holiday. It is a HUGE effort to moderate EVERY SINGLE post and EVERY SINLGE member... EVEN on Thanksgiving. It is quite possible that the thread in question was part of, or became mixed up in, a banned thread. I do not know this to be the case, however, it is what I suspect. Be certain that is not intentional for Benelli USA to remove good/helpful/proud posts by our members. We value all of our customers and greatly appreciate your support."
  15. I swear, sometimes I think we should just leave this place and start our own somewhere. Hey mods, why was the thread deleted? http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23386
  16. Happy Thanksgiving, you turkey!
  17. Episode 3 http://americangundog.com/straightshooting_AGD1.html
  18. I use a bore snake exclusively for the bore. Working parts and uncoated externals get doused with CLP and then wiped down until there are no drips, but the parts are still shiny with a film of the protectant. If heavily soiled or if the gun has been exposed to wet weather, the trigger group and bolt group are removed, flushed out with hot water followed by pressurized air, then treated as described above.
  19. I am left-handed and I shot a RH 870 Wingmaster for 25 years before getting my LH SBEII. Having the eject port on the RH side really isn't a big deal.
  20. A 24" semi-auto offers about the same amount of sighting plane as does a 26-28" over and under, because the receiver is so much longer. However, a 26" or 28" would be slightly preferable because they would give you even more sighting plane than the 24". By and large, the majority of waterfowlers like the 28". There is no appreciable advantage to pattern density or velocity with longer barrels, so that's not an issue. The biggest problem you will have is, if you are using the gun in a blind with other people beside you they may complain about the muzzle being that much closer to their ears.
  21. Thanks to all. It's been a good one!
  22. That one was shot with a 25-06. I went with the club today and killed a big old doe on a damage tag and my buddy got an 8 pointer, but it wasn't real big. I seem to be a deer magnet this year. I was at home last night just after dark and I turned on the floodlights to the back yard. A nice 8 pointer was standing under my willow oak, about 19 yards from the den window. Unfortunately, I live in town, so there's no hunting him. Going duckin' in the AM. I'll probably see plenty of deer.
  23. Nice job, man. We already had a thread going. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23386
