  1. They appear to be a promotional item. Id' say they're worth $109.39 plus $12.00 shipping
  2. If the receiver is drilled and tapped then all you need is scope, base, and rings. If the receiver is not drilled and tapped then all you need is a gunsmith, scope, base and rings.
  3. Please post picture and contact information on the wife.... I mean, you're busted up anyway, right?
  4. This 11707 is for sale as FTF transaction only in DFW area. $2200

    WTF???

It appears to be a version upgrade in the forum software. Hopefully, the new software includes some better measures to keep spammers out.
  6. Follow instructions in this guide. http://www.farrarsodfarm.com/nelli/SBE_cleanup.pdf

It would have helped if you had given your thread a better title. Something like, "Supersport - Cast Question" The steel locking plates are drilled off-center to create either a cast on or cast off configuration for RH or LH shooters. If you want it cast neutral, you will have to either modify an existing plate or have a new one made with the hole in the center. Any good machinist can accommodate your needs.
  9. Yes, there is a minimum. I don't recall the number though.

  11. Nice bird! We got one from our usual accessible by boat only honey hole this morning. My buddy killed it with his old 20 ga. single shot. Got a good setup on another one and I killed a couple of saplings with an ill-advised shot at a spooked bird.
  12. And this is why five shot groups are the standard, rather than three. To isolate the problem, try shooting five shots with 5 minutes cooling between each round. You're probably getting some movement when the barrel heats up. The R1's design is hardly optimal for guarding against such occurrences. Another possibility is flinching. The best way to see if that's the case is to have someone randomly load or not load a round for you without your seeing what they're doing. Then aim and fire. Repeat until several rounds have been shot. If you flinch on an empty chamber, then you're definitely flinching on a live round too.
  13. The problem has been seen with certain makes of shells. Have you tried other brands? If it's consistently light across several brands then you should have a gunsmith look at it.

    Not a Benelli

I had one of those.... It shot three inches high and four inches to the left

  16. Make sure that there is no crud in the hole in the bolt where the firing pin seats. If you get a buildup under there the pin can be restricted from fully extending when struck by the hammer, thus resulting in light strikes. Like strikes can also occur if the bolt isn't full rotated when in battery, so make sure that there are no restrictions there as well.
  17. When you're ready for an Eastern hunt in VA hit me up and I'll get you on some birds.
  18. Nice one! I didn't know you ranging this far east now. Any plans for VA?
  19. It's all been covered here before. Tom and Benelli had a business relationship, which was mutually beneficial. It has now ended and both are going in different directions.

  21. That's almost as touching as the story about the hunter who stopped and paid his respects as the funeral procession came by.
  22. I don't need to ask either. I showed it to her and she said, "That's nice. Are you going to keep it?"
  23. That's a terrible deal! Tell him to call me immediately!
