  1. No. You can get the black model in the standard length.
  2. That one went a good foot over his head.
  3. He is real American Hunter. He doesn't need to be propped up by advertising dollars, traded for favorable reviews in a magazine. And he obviously doesn't need to shoot African zoo animals to prove his mettle.
  4. I don't need any African farm animals like sheeps and cows, and a brown bear is just too damned big and nasty to mess with. I'm not a big fan of trophies, but I do like some sous vide duck deer burger. I'm not too surprised that you spend some time on the floor. It's not much of a stretch for someone who's on his knees that much to begin with.
  5. Found it! Nice looking rifle at a good price. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=195588458
  6. I understand how that could be detrimental to the cause of getting all you can for it. How about a one shot group?
  7. WTF does spending big money on exotic hunts have to do with anything at all? I have no desire to go to Africa or anywhere else, when I have the best hunting in the world at my fingertips in the US. And if these writers are so great and so experienced, why do they need a guide? Do they know what they're doing or not? Your problem, or at least one of them, is that you're a delusional SCI fanboy of some sort. A product of too much tv and too little time afield. Here's a picture of two American hardwoods sheep. That's Harpo on the left and Chico on the right. That thing standing up is a dog.
  8. energizer, You're almost dead on with regards to harmonics. However deliberate pressure points aren't created to eliminate harmonics. Harmonics will occur, regardless of stiff or well supported a barrel is. Pressure points are there to create a consistency in harmonics. That's especially helpful with lighter contour barrels that can vary greatly with climatic changes. I appreciate the consideration, but we all know that nightfarce is the ultimate authority on such matters. So if he(?) says I'm a troll, then I certainly must be a troll. I wear my badge proudly. Perhaps one day, when he himself has helped as many Benelli shooters as I have, he too can call himself a troll. After all, the word isn't that different from his current rank of "tool".
  9. Speak for yourself. I'd prefer to have a responsible and ethical individual doing my talking for me. Never have liked him and I never will. Extremism cuts both ways and does little to no good in the whole scheme of things. Nugent appeals to the people who already support him, but his abrasive antics, and particularly his outlaw hunting ways, aren't going to pull very many people off the fence and over to our side.

    12ga Vs. 20ga

I could see 20's being popular in areas where slugs are the rule (no buckshot). Even then, I'd rather shoot the 12, but some folks don't like the recoil.
  11. 6 Years Tenure ~7,000 Posts Hundreds of Questions Answered Scores of Benelli Owners Helped Numerous Appeals to Benelli CS on Behalf of Total Strangers Customized Guides to Help People Yeah. That's me. I'm the troll. Sometimes when I have some free time on my hands, I come here and look for posts that no one has answered. Then I try to find an answer and post it, because I know someone is out there waiting for it. I guess that is trolling in a way.

    12ga Vs. 20ga

Here midgets and some girls use 20's. All others use rifles and12's.
  13. Rock star Ted Nugent pleads no contest to California deer baiting charge August 18, 2010 | 12:45 pm Legendary rock star and hunting advocate Ted Nugent was fined $1,750 in Yuba County Superior Court Friday after pleading no contest to charges of baiting deer and not having a properly signed hunting tag stemming from a 2009 incident in California. California Department of Fish and Game spokesman Patrick Foy told the Appeal-Democrat that a game warden "just about fell out of his chair" when he saw Nugent kill an immature buck on an episode of "Spirit of the Wild," Nugent's hunting show on the Outdoor Channel, which aired earlier this year. Further investigation into the incident revealed that the area had been baited with "C'mere Deer." Using any sort of wildlife attractant is illegal in California. Nugent was originally facing an additional charge for killing an immature buck but this was dropped during negotiations between his attorney and the Yuba County District Attorney's Office, Foy said. Nugent and two co-defendants -- Mitchell Moore and Ross Patterson, who also pleaded no contest -- did not appear in court. Patterson was fined $1,225 for taking an animal with bait, while Moore was fined $700 for possessing an animal illegally. -- Kelly Burgess
  14. The camo finish is a printed film which is applied in a water transfer process called hydrographic or water transfer printing. A primer is applied to improve adhesion and a top clear coat is applied to improve durability. There are a number of companies that do it, but the process is essentially the same with all of them. You can even get a DIY kit and try your hand at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yXiVk96U0

  18. Crio plus tubes fit the Vinci. Same as the SBEII.
  19. Please post picture of rifle and some five shot groups.
  20. Show me where I did this.
  21. I do this for all of my guns. Apply oil and then wipe, leaving a light film. Never had a problem with the SBEII, but I mostly duck hunt with it.
  22. There are a number of companies that can do this for you. Find one you like and send it to them. Just be sure that they have the pattern you want. Some don't have all brands and styles. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22925
