  1. Amber, You need to stop arching your back like you're posing for the SI swimsuit cover. Lean into it.
  2. You look very doughy. A 10-22 would probably bruise you some. You'll be OK.
  3. You don't have enough tenure on the forums to post images yet. Upload the picture to your profile and they can see it there.
  4. Where I come from "sissy" means a man or a boy who acts like a girl. Given that meaning, and the fact that you said you have a boyfriend, I'd prefer that you didn't post any pictures.
  5. Works fine from here. Maybe you have some filters at work?
  6. Here are some excellent resources regarding selection of ring height, mounting, etc. These three should cover anything you need and more. Ring Height Choosing a Scope Optics FAQ's
  7. 1- Low to medium rings for the 40mm. Medium for the 44-45 mm. All of those are excellent choices. I like the Conquest. I have the same model on my BAR and I have also used several Leupolds over the years. All good choices. 2 - You should use the factory rail, because it is tapered for the rifle. Yes, you would mount the rings directly to the rail. I like Leupold QRW.
  8. Benellis shoot high and left, so if you aim the light accordingly there will be no shadow issues.
  9. Rifle groups consist of five shots minimum.
  10. Check the cartridge drop spring to make sure that it's installed properly. It's easy to get wrong.
  11. Click Me.....
  12. We have no issues with shooting hens here in Southern VA. That goes for all species of ducks. We simply don't typically get enough to be able to afford to be so selective.
  13. Reviving this old thread because I got my mount back today! The taxidermist did a great job job on it! Here' a "glamour shot" I made of it. He's home now.
  14. You don't need hi-temp enamel for it. Most use Krylon, but if you want something more durable take a look at http://www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com/
  15. What kind of range? Trap, skeet, or stationary targets?
  16. Yes, buy only 32 gram or heavier shells. 24 grams is below the recommended minimum. "12-gauge — 2-3/4" target loads (3 dram, 1 oz.) to 3" Magnums"
  17. Early goose seasons and dove hunting can be tough down here, that's for sure. I refuse to goose hunt if it's over 80, so we'll hunt in the AM and call it quits pretty soon after sunrise. I can remember Spetembers back in the late 70's when it wasn't uncommon to need a touch of fire in the early mornings to warm up the house. I don't expect to see that again in my lifetime.
  18. I hear ya. It's way too hot here to stay out in the mornings for any more than a couple of hours. This is one Summer I'll be glad to see gone.... if it ever leaves.
  19. None on an Inertia gun. The mechanism functions on recoil. On a gas gun, it's minimal / negligible.
  20. I shot 4's almost exclusively last year and found them to be effective on mallards to 40 yards and great for teal. Even thumped a couple geese with them. Since you can't use black cloud, you may want to have a look at the new stuff from Remington. Hypersonic.
  21. Don't expect oranges to fall from a pear tree. Gun laws are written, passed and enforced by illogical and ignorant people. If you try to hard to make sense of them, you'll hurt yourself. Here's what you need to know about 922R. If you are ever charged with a violation, it will in all likelihood be a secondary charge tacked on to a more serious offense. Build your weapon the way you want it. Shoot it, clean it, and enjoy it. Private ranges are a plus.
  22. Dead on...............
  23. Not mine. PM me for the link if you want to buy it.
  24. Scouting trip last weekend. No sound, because we were discussing where we were.
  25. There are a number of aftermarket makers for Benelli magazine extensions. Which model shotgun do you have and how many rounds total do you want to have?
