You can download the manual for the M3 from this page. http://www.benelli.it/Articoli/Download.asp?Type=UM&IDArma=124

You may have better luck finding one in basic black or another camo pattern and then having it dipped. These guys have my SBEII right now, and it's slated to be back in a week or two. I'll post pics when I get it back. http://www.hydro-dip.com/ They charge $65 to do a stock.

You don't have to go there to buy it. International sales are done every day.

I don't think there is a forum spellchecker.

I think it's more a matter of harmonic variances, but let us know how that goes.

My two largest complaints are: Take it down and clean it, and you're most likely going to have to go to the range and check zero. and The piston fouling, which has been documented on these forums.

Lesson learned... hopefully. You can't ease the bolt shut on most semi-auto rifles or shotguns. The Benelli shotguns are quite notorious for this.

California Proposed Regulations Waterfowl 2010

That search loops me right back to the link I posted. "Notice Documents will be posted on or before June 18, 2010" -
Yet, Benelli has built several of them into their R1. Comparing it to the AR platform is a huge mistake. AR rifles can be torn down, cleaned, and re-assembled with no change in zero. A feat that is nearly impossible to achieve with the R1. Anticipating 1" groups from it - with any ammo - is optimistic to the point of being unrealistic. The rifle simply has too many design flaws to have repeatable and sustained accuracy. They're nice short range hunting rifles, but you need to know what realistic expectations are. I'm afraid you don't. Using an inherently accurate cartridge like the WSM's certainly helps swing some accuracy back in your favor, but there's still a lot to overcome.

They don't appear to be posted yet http://www.fgc.ca.gov/regulations/new/2010/proposedregs10.asp#502 -
I would say that the Gunhunter report is representative of what one could reasonably expect from the R1. The gun's design is detremental to repeatable accuracy. I'm surprised it has stayed around as long as it has. If you're looking for sub-MOA accuracy from a semi-automatic hunting rifle, you need to look elsewhere. http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/model.asp?fid=FNF049&gid=FNG022&mid=FNM0136

Brownells, Midway, just about any gun shop. They all have them.

Here's a nice slightly used one. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=173321019

That's a good price. If you decide that you can't wait, here's one that's real close to your price. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=173417911 My guy charges $20 to receive for me, but I've known him since he was 9 and I do most of the work.

They can be quite slow. They're made in Italy, you know? I would never order such a gun from a dealer. Not when you can find plenty of them on gunbroker.com, in stock, ready to ship to your FFL. Other online sellers have stock as well, and they can ship the same way.

Pretty sure it's going to have to be the actual code. I usually cut the paper layer off with a razor blade, so there won't be a hole in the box.

But it's got a Corinthian leather stock!

So, whatcha guys think about this? 20 ga. Cordoba like new for $1200?

You can dunk a shotgun, pour the water out and fire it without any problems. Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--GbVKwDfNU

You can easily hunt all day in the pouring rain, but that's true with just about any modern gun. The trick is how well you disassemble and clean the gun that evening after the hunt. If you put it away wet and leave if for 12 hours or more, you're going to have rust beginning to set in on internal parts, bore, etc.

I'm pretty sure BigHat doesn't want the rail or anything further to do with any discussions about it or about carriercomp. He's a sleeping dog. Best to just leave him be.
