  1. Cool! Very nice bird. Congratulations. I mean that too.
  2. Nice Eastern Gobbler, ISK. What state is that, Kentucky?
  3. +1 on the Claw

    Compliance

Show me one single case of someone being charged with a 922r violation wherein that was the primary violation. I don't think it exists. Like Unobtanium & Duggan said, I wouldn't give it another thought.
  5. Don't click any of the links. I have asked the mods to remove all posts by the user, but they seem to be a bit behind on their work.

    I'm cool with it.
  7. Price: SBEII Mossy Oak Duck Blind? The gun is currently the factory matte black finish.
  8. That's great video! Nice going!
  9. I no longer own a R1, so the video is not likely to be from me.
  10. To a degree, the ammo quality matters. While all modern metallic cartridge ammunition is non-corrosive, some varieties and brands tend to be "dirtier" than others. Lower quality brands like Wolf, for example, generally leave behind more residue than do premium brands,
  11. +1 on gunbroker, auctionarms, etc. Reeds also has good prices and will gladly ship to a transfer dealer of your choosing. I can't imagine ordering a gun and waiting for it to be produced. Too many other easy options out there these days.
  12. Let me tell you something about Benelli USA Customer Service. This is what they do every day. It is still questionable to me as to who is ultimately responsible for the damage/defect on this gun, but Benelli realized that a tie goes to the customer. I have dealt with them on numerous occasions. In fact, at this very moment someone there is doing something for me that most companies would shrug off as not in their SOP manual and brush me off with no further consideration. Great products are half the battle. GREAT people make the difference.

  14. Don't tell him I said so, but I agree with mudhen. The damage has likely occurred from some incidental or accidental exposure to harmful chemicals. DEET or some other solvent is most likely to blame. A lot of people think these finishes are painted on, and are therefor resilient and durable. They are not. They are a very thin film of synthetic material. It can easily chip and scratch, and it can easily be affected by solvents and chemicals. Overzealous owners can do more harm than good when trying to clean their camoed weapons. For true durability, go with something like Birdsong or Duracoat.

  19. Nice! Was this the same bird that got away before?
  20. I don't think it should be a problem, as long as you don't see any signs of stress on the barrel or chamber.
  21. That boy's like a pit bull / crocodile mix on that subject.
