I wouldn't use the firing pin. I usually use a brass punch and tap it lightly with a small hammer.

Welcome Aboard! What kinds of hunting do you plan on doing with your new Benelli?

If you like that, you'll love the AmericanSnipers.org coins from this year. note: actual coin not blurred.

No. Each chevron is a separate part, and there are right and left side versions. The parts are labeled alpha numerically. The prefixes are D for "destra", which means "right" in Italian, and S for "sinistra", which means "left". The numbers are ascending from smallest to largest. So the smallest chevron on the RH side is "D-1". The only one that is bridged is the one that fits directly behind the pistol grip. As difficult as mine were to get back in after having my gun dipped, I can't imagine one ever popping out.

Right now they've got me drooling over the new skull pattern.

Price was $230, including the return shipping. I'm hoping it will be more durable, just because of the one off care that it gets. It's prepped, primed, dipped, and then clear-coated. I'll have to get back you on how durable it is over time.

It was black. I bought it in 2004, I believe. The plan all along was to wear it down and then have it camoed. I got tired of waiting for it to get worn looking enough. It still looked nearly new when I sent it to them.

Got her back yesterday from Hydro-Dip in Idaho. They did a great job!

Yes, you definitely heard that today.

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just saying that the two are not a completely fair comparison. If the kid is going to claim a record, then he should do another video using the same technique as the other guy, or at least have the timekeeper give him the go signal. Too much delay in scoring this way.

The guy who did it in 6.97 started the clock himself, before he laid hands on the gun. He'd be about 6 seconds flat if he used the same timing method as the other kid.
-
Kid claims the new record at 6.75 seconds, but clearly he has started before the clock.

http://dailycaller.com/2010/06/14/benelli-mr1-carbine/ The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation and is attached to the upper receiver with two hex screws.
