    ComforTech?

It's a club secret. The only way you'll discover the answer is to buy one of each.

    Duracoating

Can you match that pretty blue that's on the SPAM can?
  4. I don't think so. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=193554191

    SBE2 Safety?

It is a simple and straightforward mechanism. One approach would be to lessen the resistance provided by the spring, but a more sensible solution would be to polish the mating surfaces of the parts to provide function with less effort.
  6. http://combatoptical.blogspot.com/2008/11/gsg5-gsg-5-tree-style-riser-claw-mount.html or similar
  7. Quail are just now beginning to make a comeback in these parts. I haven't hunted quail in about 25 years, but I'd love to take my Highlander out for a couple of coveys.
  8. Talk about trust! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME... or anywhere else.
  9. I agree with hattles, but I had another word for "hoot".
  10. Gun and outdoor magazine reviews are essentially worthless, as the "articles" are no more than advertisements in poor disguise. Check forums like this one, 24 hour campfire, etc. for real reviews from real people. If you want a quality semi-automatic hunting rifle with guaranteed accuracy, consider the FNAR line.
  11. The one I saw today was rib-mounted sight like a tru-glo or Williams.
  12. 1900-1999 - The 1900's - 20th Century How about shooting my target and posting results?
  13. I'm rethinking this recommendation.
  14. It doesn't work that way. Host the image and post using the code or URL provided by the host. http://www.imgur.com http://www.photobucket.com You also need a certain number of posts to be able post images and URL's. 10 maybe? You can upload photos to your profile as well.
  15. You can have it camo dipped for about $200.
  16. No. It was removed this morning.
  17. Savage rifles typically don't cost that much. They just out shoot the ones that cost that much. http://www.savagearms.com/news/article/?id=1DoKxAoZh Team Savage started its 2010 season in grand fashion, winning the F T/R National Championship team competition by besting all others in the 600 and 1,000 yard events, and establishing an new 1,000-yard record of 778-21X. That would seem hard to top. But that is exactly what they did at the last two major matches of their season. Darrell Buell of Damascus, OR; John Weil of Welches, OR; Monte Milanuk of Wenatchee WA and Stan Pate of Milwaukie, OR wrapped up the season with two internationally sanctioned matches: the Canadian International Fullbore Championships held in Chilliwack. B.C. and the Pacific International Fullbore Championships held just outside of Portland, OR. At these matches, elite shooters from around the world compete at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards. The two matches combined constitute a “Super Aggregate”, or continental title. Team Savage loaded up on the hardware at both matches, winning multiple medals at the various distances. They captured the team gold at the Canadian match and Gold and Silver in the individual Super Aggregate. The real fireworks happened in the Oregon match. With John Weil leading the way, Team Savage put on a veritable clinic. This competition was held on Weil and Pate’s home range at the Douglass Ridge Rifle Club and they showed everybody that nobody knows how to read the conditions on that range better than Team Savage. Weil won all seven gold medals available, while teammate Stan Pate won six silvers. Monte Milanuk added three bronzes. Weil also shot a new national record at 1000 yards, scoring 148-4x.
  18. Hey, genius with 18 years of edumacation. 1926 WAS in the 1900's.
  19. That should be "Secondly," Mr. BA. I don't know how much your folks paid for those degrees, but they may want to see about applying for a refund. Did you seriously expect anyone to glean to the caliber of the M70 from your awful little photo? And, no I didn't say that particular rifle was used in Vietnam. That series was used in Vietnam in 30-06 as a sniper rifle. The Remington 700 in .308 was the other Vietnam era sniper rifle.
  20. The mods have been notified of this thread. I don't know. Maybe they're taking another day off?
  21. This past weekend brought to a head a problem that we've been seeing for some time. Spammers and propagandists know very well that corporately sponsored forums such as these are not closely monitored on the weekends. So every weekend we see the same thing over and over again. They sign up, make enough posts to get image and URL rights, and star spewing their crap. Some post spam to websites, and most are relatively harmless. But some post links to sites infected with Trojans and Malware, and others post sickening political propaganda. So, with this in mind, I nominate sdkidaho to be our weekend watchdog. He's level-headed and fair-minded. He has moderation experience on other sites and he could make a meaningful contribution here.
