  1. Benelli doesn't dictate inventory, unless there is a production backlog. It's up to the dealers. Gander Mountain, Bass Pro, etc. Indian is a big state. What part are you in? http://www.benelliusa.com/dealers/index.php?z=46226&r=150&x=41&y=19
  2. I killed a LOT of turkeys with 2-3/4" #4 lead game loads back in the 80's. But I do like the 3.5's now.

  4. I would say that you have made a reasonable conclusion.
  5. I don't think that is a very accurate statement. It's a shotgun. For the vast majority of shotgun shooters, trigger pull is a big deal.
  6. There is no aftermarket kit. If you cannot do the work yourself, then it would have to go to smith for tuning.
  7. Is this a new gun or did you buy it used?
  8. The Inertia spring shifts back and forth inside the bolt. It is perfectly normal and proper. Take some time to disassemble the bolt group and become familiar with how things go together in there. It's very easy to take apart and put back together. The instructions in my [/url]SBE Cleaning Guide apply equally to your Supersport. Welcome to the forums!
  9. Nicely done! Here's my favorite
  10. Vinceyboy, do you have one or are you just seeing them in NZ gun shops?
  11. Somebody needs a day job. Yes, the safety can be reversed. The Nova line is a bit more tricky to do than the SBE, M2, etc., because of the way the safety is designed. I've done a few, but I'd recommend getting a gunsmith to do it if you are not comfortable and familiar such operations. Also, you might want to ask Benelli Customer Service about doing it for you. A few years back, they would do it for free, but you have to pay shipping both ways. Not sure if that offer's still valid or not.
  12. No. Using a local guy who specializes in birds. I was just using these images as examples of the types of mounts I liked. Where the heck have you been? I was looking for you on milk cartons.
  13. Typically, bulge = abuse or misuse. I have had several experiences with Benelli CS on several different guns for both myself and friends. They have been flawless for me.
  14. Time to put the pipe down?
  15. Once again hognutz doing what he does best. Nice job, sir!
  16. hognutz, I think the Vinci is made differently. I don't see a drop lever on the pictures of them. We need a Vinci owner to chime in.
  17. Saw this in Outdoor Life the other day. If your first reaction upon seeing this creation from Lauer Custom Weaponry is, “That doesn’t look stock,” congratulate yourself on your powers of observation. Yes, Lauer can build you a rifle with an arrow gun attached that fires bolts with a .22 blank. And, yes, you can get one with a custom blood-spattered pattern that shows off your zombie-horde-fighting cred. Underneath the unusual bolt-ons is a reliable .223 that is ready to take on any worm-eaten monstrosity you might face—or the zombie stage during your next 3-gun match. The compensator, from Bushmaster, does a good job of keeping the rifle on target, while the 3.5X ACOG gives you a clear and bright aiming point. If you think the undead are scary, wait till you see the tiny cluster of holes this gun produces after emptying the 30-round magazine. [ $1,895, optics not included; lauerweaponry.com ]
  18. Check with Briley's or Gander Mountain.
  19. Exactly where in the middle of the fog of a home invasion are you going to ask the intruder, "Does my gun look cool to you?". The 1300 will go boom, boom, boom just as efficiently and effectively as the Nova will. Personally, I like the 870 better than both, but as you said, it's a tough economy. So shoot what you've got, as as long as you've got something.
  20. The trigger guard is the easiest way to tell. See how the one in my image is squared?
  21. Here is the SBEII in walnut.
  22. I don't think that's an SBEII. The trigger guard, forearm, recoil pad and mag cap look like SBE.
  23. Glad to help.
  24. Assuming the gun is in good condition, I'd go ~$900. If it has all 5 factory chokes, all of the shims, and the hard case, then you can comfortably add $200 to the total. All of the books of values in the world aren't going to put money in your pocket. It's a matter of the current market and economy. Look through gunbroker.com, armslist.com, auctionarms.com, etc. and see what kinds of sales are being made. Not asking prices - sales. Go from there. No need to buy one at auction when you can buy one from the comfort of your desk chair. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=159063475 Also consider buying a black one and spending $200 to have it dipped.
