  1. Nice boat, did you get a chance to use it to shoot a few ducks?
  2. I would think the hooks and gun could play h*@# on the knees, when walking around the bed.
  3. I have both SBEII and M2 and both are great guns. For ducks and geese the SBE II is the best gun. I use the M2 for upland game and clays. If I had to have 1, it would be the SBEII!
  4. Sorry to hear about the broken stock. That would warrent a few select words and a stiff drink. I ordered a fore end for a Rem 7400 a couples years ago from Brownells, it matched the stock great.
  5. I just found that Brownells was a replacement plate that allows for different recoil pads to adjust the LOP. You might want to check them out?
  6. Which gel pad is on your gun? 13.5, 14 or 14.375. If it is the 14.375" you might look at Limb Saver or Hi Viz pads to see if they are thicker than factory pads.

    2008 Benelli's?

At the SHOT Show they had two new releases for the US. 1. M2 20ga Ultralight Right Handed 2. Legacy Sport 12ga 5.8lb a real nice looking gun.
  8. The new shotguns at the SHOT Show were: M2 20ga Ultra Light 5.8lb and a Legacy Sport 12ga at 5.8lb. No 20ga LH.
  9. A good place to start would be ordering Blacks Wing, Clay and Waterfowl directory. They have a comprehensive list of hunting locations in most every state. Get a list and start calling around. http://www.blackswingandclay.com/ We hunt private ground, some is in the Southeast corner around Alcester, Central around Woonsocket and West of the river in Murdo. All areas are different and require different tactics. Good Luck
  10. Interesting article http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/general/news/story?id=3200913
  11. We killed over 100 pheasant this year in SD on two trips. I used Federal Wingshok #6 through a WInchester O/U when walking and used the M2 when blocking. The #6 worked good until the wind got above 15 mph, switched to Kent #4 in the high winds with great success. I agree with Tim, no hail Mary shots, shoot em in the head.
  12. I saw a problem with chokes backing out of a SX2, they used Choke Lube and it mixed the problem. I use Birchwood Casey brand, Tetra also makes one. Try Cabelas or Mack PW. Good Luck.
  13. I saw one a while back at Long Island Supply (631) 665-7011. Good luck.
  14. Did you use Choke lube on the threads of the choke?

    duck loads

Have been using Kent Fasteel #2 or #4 depends on conditions, switched to Federal Black Cloud #4 (Caught em on sales)
  16. I just looked at Able Ammo in Huntville Tx. They have one listed for $1,529with free shipping.
  17. On wild birds, we use #6 shot unless the wind blowing above 15 mph, then switch to #4 shot. I haved used Rm Nito and Kent Upland both worked well.
  18. Owned a SX2 for a couple years, it was a good gun. Only had one issue, the bolt handle broke off. Own both SBE II and M2 in LH, it would take a major technology / upgrade change to make me interested in trading or selling my Benellis. Shoot what you like, that fits you and can afford.
  19. I use just a very light coat of RIG on the matte barrel, have had no rust problem since I bought the SBE II in June of 05.
  20. --Marks Outdoor Sports in Birmingham, AL. has a large selection of Benelli's, don't know about a Raffaello. It's a toll free call 1-877-979-6275 Good Luck
  21. I have a friend in Birmingham AL, that handled a demo 20ga Ultralight at Marks Outdoors. The weight is under 6 lbs.
  22. Saved this in a Word Document from Tucker in 05. Hope it helps posted 04-01-2005 10:10 PM04-01-2005 10:10 PM ________________________________________ Remove the trigger assembly from the receiver. Drive out the pin (012A). Be careful, the parts under the pin are springloaded and will fly out when the pin is removed. Cup your hand over the hole to catch them. The spring (007A) and detent (008A) should fall right out now. This will free the crossbolt safety (013J) for easy removal. Reverse the safety, reinsert the detent and spring. Depress ths spring below the hole for the pin and reinsert the pin. Test thoroughly before loading!
  23. Years ago a friend had a Mossberg bolt action as discribed by Huntman and it had one of the original Poly chokes.
