This may sound odd, when first shooting my SBE II with the chokes clean and lubed with Breakfree, they would backout after a few rounds. The gunsmith at Mack's Prairrie Wings told me to use "choke lube". That did the trick.

Has anyone patterned or shot the New Federal Black Cloud ammo? Saw it at the SHOT show in Orlando and it is starting to appear in some local ads.

I would argee with Dumbduck on the Winchester X2, had one for about 3 years. Worked flawless, but it was kept clean. And, with the X2 being replaced by the X3 you could pick one for a little less money. But, for the money the SBE II is the best.

I have and use custom fit in-ear plugs from E.A.R. and just this week used SureFires EP3 Sonic Defender. They are very comfortable and muffled / not blocked the shot sound, and allowed me to hear normal conversation.

I use Uncle Mikes QD Quick Detachable Polymer Swivels #1401-2. Switched to polymers, they do not rub on the barrel.

Used my SBE II LH for two seasons in Oklahoma, Kansas and South Dakota. In the snow, rain, dust and heat. Without a problem of jamming or miss fire.

Used my SBE II to take part in taking over 168 rooster in 4 SD hunts last year. All I can say is.....it just keeps shooting.

Try to find a "Pointing Lab" I have one, she is one of the most versitile dogs I have ever seen. We also use a German Shorthair, she is a great pointing dog and does well with water retrieves on ducks. Both breeds have made good hunting dogs and good companion dogs.

Tucker Have you ever had any issues with the adhesive tape on the EasyHit breaking down in extreme cold? I have a Hi Viz Magna Comp on my M2 and was thinking about a trying an EasyHit on the SBE II
