  1. Cheapest way to be 922r compliant is to leave your weapon in factory condition.

    Benelli MR1

You're either a giant troll, massively retarded or grossly undereducated on basic gun terms and concepts. Either way, I suggest you stop posting.
  3. No. This part will have NO effect on 922r as even by the farthest stretch of the hopeful imagination, it cannot be one of the 13 parts listed by the ATF in the latest known letter concerning the Benelli m4. Sorry to break your dreams, but it just isn't happening. That said, who cares.
  4. You've been taught a commonly held bit of misinformation.
  5. I absolutely would not pay money to get a shotgun ported. If it came that way ... I guess I could deal. TimB is dead on with his assessment of porting, brakes and how they work.
  6. You obviously know your stuff. You've done enough testing to know that something is seriously wrong. Your gun is flawed, in one way or another, such that it is hardly useful to you. The relevant question, at this point, isn't whether your Vinci is flawed or not, it's whether ALL Vinci's will share the same "flaws" when you use them, whatever they may be. The scientific way to eliminate the "lemon" possibility from the equation is to obtain additional samples to test ... but this may be difficult, as I'm sure you aren't going to rush out and buy 3 more Vinci's after your negative experience, and they are still uncommon enough that borrowing / renting may be impractical. I don't have anything technical to add ... I've never shot a Vinci or even seen one honestly, so I'll leave it to people who have.
  7. I don't care if the state "allows" it or not, my CCW permit doesn't get suspended when I step in the woods. I'm bringing a pistol ... you'd be crazy not to if you have the ability.
  8. I wasn't aware Coyote's generally rushed people. Every story I've heard paints them as giant cowards that are afraid to do anything without someone else doing it first. That said, I totally agree that you want backup ... I always am amazed at the amount of stories I hear about people bow hunting that run into bears, wolves etc and don't even have a pistol or something.
  9. I don't know what you want me to say ... do you want me to name off every brand of choke manufacturer?' Some people find that their buckshot actually patterns the tightest with a mod choke ... a tighter constriction doesn't ALWAYS mean a smaller group, if the lead shot is getting deformed or deflected on the way out, it may be off target. As always, the best way to find out which choke patterns best is to test it for yourself using your desired ammo. Sorry, it sucks I know, to not be able to simply buy something that is universally the best ... but that's kind of the nature of the game with chokes and ammo variances.
  10. Damn nice knives. I'd put them right up there with Strider and all the other serious hard use names. I can't justify buying a fixed knife right now, but I sprung for a Zero Tolerance 0301 ... all the features of a Strider, but half the price. Massive titanium framelock, S30V blade, G10 scale, assisted opening, etc. It's a badass folder. If I was in the market for a good fixed blade, Crusader Forge would be on my short list.
  11. I have the elusive Design Concepts charging handle. It's superb. If Kip's handle offers something my current one doesn't, I'll get his.
  12. Before he was with Magpul, he was known for sniping Iraqis in Najaf with Blackwater, back in 2004. I saw this video way before I knew who he was, then found out who he was back when he was with Simply Dynamic. I've never met the guy, but he's pretty active on forums, easy to get ahold of. Their compound was almost overrun by Mahdi Army, IIRC.
  13. They sell other products and products for other platforms. Nobody else does.
  14. In the firearm world, take whatever timeline for a product you're initially given and add 6 months - 5 years. Nothing is ever out "on time". I personally stopped following Mesa ages ago, when the rail they promised for years was going to come out ... never came out, with endless excuses. I'm not saying it's their fault, stuff happens and it screws everything up, etc, but some companies generally make it happen and others do not ... I am more interested in the ones that do. If and when the Urbino is ever released, I will buy one. But I'm certainly not holding my breath, or even counting on them being out before 2011.
  15. I never have, but I really want to. My rifle would put some serious hurting on a large number of coyotes at any reasonable distance.
  16. The pictures are from an old, very wide brochure. Up until now, I had never seen anybody else post these pictures. I bought the brochure on ebay back in like 2005 or so, so that should give you an idea of how old they are. I still have it somewhere ...
  17. I like your video, if only because you used Pendulum as the music.
  18. I'm well aware of the law ... I'm telling you it's not enforced. I'm done here. ETA - In the city, all bets are off. NYC is a god damn police state. I'd be afraid to even shoot at a range there, given the political climate and unwarranted fear of all things firearm related. If I lived on Long Island, I wouldn't even go to a range. I'd save my ammo money and move.
  19. Look, do what you want. They can't be sold with more than 5 round tubes, in NY or anywhere else. Everyone uses them. Nobody, literally, nobody has ever gotten in trouble for them. Also, taking "gunshop advice" is a horrible idea, they are notoriously run / populated by morons that peddle misinformation and rumors. I've heard some of the most ridiculous things of my life in gunshops, stated by oblivious Fudd's as total fact. The ATF is the only branch you need to worry about ... the ATF doesn't enforce the NY AWB. Nobody does really, unless you're a criminal who committed a crime and they are throwing the book at you. If you want to play it safe, play it safe.
  20. Dude ... seriously? First you pay extra to buy a "real" M1014 and now you're putting in the effort to gimp it? I have the stupid thing that I would just give you ... but I can't in good conscience support what you're doing, so I'm not going to. I also live in NY. Everyone I know that has an M4 has a full length tube on it.
  21. The AA-12 has been in like every new action movie that has come out, The Expendables, Predators, etc. I'd be curious as to what guys in the field say about it before I go and judge it.

    M4 Research for R&D

Working hard on those recoil reducers / 8th round extender combo unit huh? I would get you dimensions, but I don't want to give you bad info ... in the middle of a move and all my stuff is packed up somewhere, if you still need it in a few days I can get you it.
