  1. I've never gotten any begging calls from the NRA. I get wine offers from time to time, and updates. Nothing that I mind ... I've never been called. As far as not paying for a membership defeating the purpose, they are obviously trying to increase their membership base, which can have a much greater effect than losing your $25 for one year. It gives them more clout to lobby with, and it increases the chance of return customers in the future, this time PAYING customers after their year wears off. Either way, the NRA wouldn't be offering this if it wasn't to their benefit to do so. Oh, and you're welcome
  2. Just in case some of you live under rocks and this is the first time you've seen this ... http://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/ The NRA is giving out free one year memberships, no strings attached. Free American Rifleman mag, complete with lots of ads and bullsh$t etc, but if you're too cheap to normally join here is your chance.
  3. No. The clay guns are not any more durable or better built than the others, they are just designed with features that aid in target shooting. You should buy a gun built for the type of shooting you want to do, and then whatever gun you choose will be solid and durable for the long run.
  4. It's Astroglide with a TACTICAL twist.
  5. Well, I'll put it this way: When I did this operation, I didn't even have snap ring pliers (still dont). I used a cold steel knife and a screwdriver to force the ring off by brute force. I was/am 100% fine ... if you use the right tool you should be golden.

    Mood lighting

If you get a surefire p60 lamp series, there are lots of LED head upgrades that will get you into the 230+ lumen range for ~$50. This is what I would suggest, for the best cheap light. For instance, a surefire 6p (the metal body keeps the lamp cool, G2s do not) in some type of clamp mount, upgraded with a malkoff m60 230 lumen LED head. The main question is, how do you plan on mounting a light? The mount is the main constraint, choosing a best light is easy if your mounting plan is made clear.
  7. Because using the cartridge drop lever is a **** of a lot easier on the thumbs than manually depressing the "bar" inside the receiver 9 times to unload a mag tube.
  8. Purchase snap ring pliers. Remove snap ring. Take off front slight attachment. Turn to desired angle. Replace. Replace snap ring. Profit.
  9. I don't hate it by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just not in pins and needles waiting to see what it is, as some here apparently are. I'm sure it will be a great gun.
  10. Nice picture. I shot a muskrat today at 120 yards. I should have taken a picture.
  11. Thanks for the laugh.
  12. Bad news on the shipping delay, good news on semi-healing and product line development. Now answer my PM
  13. Look for one where the unicorns play ... among the pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
  14. Funny, I have no anxiety at all over this release. I forgot it was even coming out. I guess I'm not the target audience.
  15. I just have to ask, why? A replacement follower? Are you expecting your stock one to somehow break, or are is there something wrong with it? If you're stocking up on spare parts for the sake of stocking up on spare parts, more power to you I guess, but a replacement follower would be pretty low on the list of essential replacement parts if I were to make such a list ...
  16. Hopefully fully healed and working that CNC like crazy.
  17. 11720? What does your gun look like and when was it made?
  18. Hmm, interesting, I'm glad to know that actually. Thank you for the clarification.
  19. I've never personally used them, but member "Caligvla" loved them when he had his m4, and I remember there being an epic battle between him and Dixie over his calling them "very hot loads". I refer you to this thread, which should answer all your questions. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16149&highlight=dixie
  20. No, there is no wear protection. It doesn't really slam the receiver though, I mean if you press the release button really hard it will touch, but it normally floats above the receiver a good 1/16 inch when depressed, and a lot farther out when the bolt carrier is back. I have a slight mark on my receiver that may even rub off from all the rounds I've put through my gun. I wouldn't worry about it. I mean, after putting it on, why would you ever want to take it off?
  21. Nothing has changed. I doubt it will work for you. If it does, let us know.
  22. 15 inch lbs is a tiny amount of torque. You should have no problem doing that with a regular screwdriver. It's snug, but not cranked down. Use some blue loctite if you have issues IMO.
  23. It would say on the box. Also, see if you have a milled recoil tube with notches cut in it. Or see what year your gun was made in. If its a new gun, more than likely it's a 11707, it's been their main model for 3-4 years now I beleive.

  25. Do I have to get Bill Nye on your as-s and tell you how silly that is?
