From the top. M1 M1 M11707 M1014 Musket SNIPER SHOTGUN
-
This one time, I put a bi-pod on my shotgun.
-
Fvcking criminals man, no imagination.

Sup bro? Glad to see you back. A friend of mine got robbed a few days ago ... lost all his guns except the 357 jframe he was carrying, and the benelli m4 that was hidden under his bed. All his rifles and handguns in his closet got stolen, along with lots of his parents stuff. How'd you manage to get some stuff back? Po-po catch the guy?
-
How many rounds do you have through it? My m4 jammed like crazy the first 200 rounds or so. Then it stopped jamming and hasn't jammed since.
-
Yea wow, I've never seen one of those before.

Any idea who makes your shell carrier? If you somehow don't have the stock umm, rod that pushes out and holds the trigger group in place, I'm sure benelli or numrich can get one for you. It's a pretty simple part. For accessories, the only thing you NEED is a full length mag tube. I'd recommend one from socomguy here on the benelli forums, he has a thread on the front page here. After you get your full length tube, you then can decide what direction you want to take the gun in ... be it a rail, collapsible stock, optic, replacement handles/releases, etc. But don't buy anything other than a full length tube until you're shot your gun a good amount and have a good idea of what you want for it.

Talk to m1014, he likes to add heat shields to things.
-
No reason not to oil it.

Sorry, I forgot that I was obligated to answer everyone's questions in full detail with links, pictures and explanations at 4am when I get home from work. Google "shotgun speedloader". Look at the size, intended application, and benefits. Then apply it to a 9 round m4 defensive weapon. You should be able to figure it out.

Cool. I have a few jars of dillo dust lying around that I use sometimes It's delicious. edit: PAINT MIXER? Must be a new thing ... MUST BUY MORE LARUE FOR PAINT MIXER

How is the cheek weld and feel with an optic that "high"? Can you naturally raise it to your shoulder and be in the right position looking through, or do you have to adjust after you swing up? You'll get used to it eitehr way, but how is it right now?

The FCAM, the rail that will never be made that I've been waiting for since I bought this gun.
-
Nono, ERdept asked about the large release pad.
-
Sandman, I agree. Remy, No idea.

2005. I'll find out more info tomorrow if I have time, I'm pretty sure mine is loose though. Edit: Since you're here anyways ... How's that quad rail coming along? Is it collecting dust? :\

It's all wording and interpretation ... does "capable of accepting" mean that a plug is irrelevant since it is capable without it, or is the plug your saving grace by making it incapable in current form of accepting ... I can't even remember if that's the term in the law, but it's pretty simple: there is no substitute for a good lawyer.

I don't really know what you mean. It's no harder than removing and replacing the stock release ... but to do that is a ***** as well. The actual large release pad is just a piece of metal that is held onto the modified release mechanism by a hex screw ... imagine the stock m4 release, if you were to drill into the release button, thread it, then screw a piece of metal over it. That's basically what you're doing. The problem is that the drift you are punching out is extremely tight, and it's lined up with a spring loaded component on 4 points. It's easy to get out ... very hard to get back in. You take the old release mechanism completely out, replace with the new, nearly identical release mechanism (only differece is the "button" is larger and made to accept a hex screw, as I said.). You now have to line up the top and bottom of the release with the top and the bottom of the receiver, while holding a drift in place and then hammering a tight drift back into place without moving the pieces you are holding ... it's fvcking hard. Oh, did I mention it's all springloaded while you're doing this? So that it wants to fly out of your hand, and out of line? Oh, and that you can't SEE any of this, as it's inside the receiver, and your hand is blocking your only view of it? It's worth it in the end but trust me, it's aggravating to do. I'm very good at assembly/disassembly type stuff, but this sucked. Holding a spring loaded component perfectly in place, while essentially blind, while stabilizing a heavy gun with the same hand, while then holding a drift in place to hammer down ... it's hard. Blah blah. Try it. I'll love to hear your stories. Maybe I just suck. Prove me wrong (hope I made some sense, Im falling asleep)

If I were to guess ... 1) - One could argue that the market would not be very great, or worthy of the investment cost. Collapsible stocks are generally less comfortable than fixed stocks, and cost more to implement on a gun that's designed to be relatively cheap. Many people see them as gimmicks, and don't have any interest in them. Furthermore, there's the threefold logic of intended use ... If you intend to use a supernova for home defense, you want a simple weapon you're comfortable with and able to handle under stress (even CQB, I'm playing devils advocate) ... if you're looking to shoot a supernova for fun, the m4 is much more fun, and has a collapsible stock already ... and if you're looking to hunt with it, you don't need or want a collapsible stock (I don't think). 2) - The m4s collapsible stock is "mounted" on the recoil tube, completely independent of the pistol grip or receiver. I've never taken a supernova apart .... but I don't think it has a recoil tube being a pump . Thus, a new design would be needed, and that means new molds, tooling, etc. They probably don't see it as a priority ... The cost of development for a new design (one that would have to be tested, refined, and then produced) may not be outweighed by the marginal revenue they would bring in from such a device being marketed. 3) - The comfortech system. Benelli is big on it. You can't have comfortech and a collapsible stock. 4) - There is a sea of collapsible stocks, mods and addons for the 870 and 590. Maybe benelli is trying to set itself apart from the cheap aftermarket gun hack job mod crowd. I dunno. Just some ideas. I'm tired.

Hmmmm. I've definitely gotten mine loose before. Back when I first got the gun and though that was how I got the stock off ... I unscrewed the pad, undid the rear weird nut, and I think the rear sling lope just came right out with it. I'll look when I have time.

From 922r: "(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least 2 of-- (i) a folding or telescoping stock; (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; (iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; and (iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine." Basically, yes. Worst case scenario, your battle in court would be that a plug counted as a "fixed" capacity. Since it works for hunting stuff, I don't know why it wouldn't work here. But this is just another reason I left my mag tube unloctited ... I'm not at all paranoid about the ATF deciding to go after a 22 year old white kid from a good middle class family with a squeaky clean record (me), but in the event that I should need to make my gun 100% legal, it can be done in a very short amount of time. http://home.comcast.net/~navy87guy/home/922r.html that is written for saigas, but most of it is relevant information. Lemme just say, if you google "922r", there are literally tens of thousands of people asking the same question, getting vague answers, doing lots of stuff to get in compliance with 922r to varying degrees. Now google "922r conviction", "922r felony", "922r arrest", or any variation you want. See how much information you find. edit: I think I may make an m4 FAQ thread if I have time.
