    Weapon light!

dandy- jakjakman has a M3 mounted on his M1014 drop him a line and see what info he can give you. I did a search and found the thread where he posted pics. of his 1014 with the light click here [ 09-18-2006, 03:02 PM: Message edited by: wingbone ]
  2. Diabolus....keep us informed on the repairs to your stock, I'm interested in seeing how long it takes to get fixed. Also might not be a bad idea to purchase an extra just in case it takes forever I have seen several on Egay for sale and they was not really that bad on price
  3. OZZ yup thats what I used to loosen the loctite, took about 10 seconds at the bottom of the tube, and with the micro torch about 5 seconds just inside the tube itself at the reciever and twisted tube right off with no struggle and no marks in the finish of the reciever or old tube
  4. I had this same problem with a Mossberg 590 a long time ago, first thing was it had a problem with shells that had been cycled before.....the same gun had a problem with the military oil as well, it would foul out the chamber so bad that after about three shots it was almost impossble to eject the spent shell casing
  5. remembers an 870 I had in some adverse weather conditions and the wood forearm swelled from moisture so bad that the gun would not cycle....anything you buy will have some flaws or need some "tweaking". you will hear some bad things about Benelli shot guns only because most of the guys that own them have put them through more harsh conditions, and truth be known have fired more rounds through them than any other shotgun they own. the question you need to ask yourself as you decide is how many people do you know that have ever had a Benelli shotgun does NOT have one now?
  6. and here I thought that only happened around me and M4's part of the country
  7. the new video you need to make for us Duggan is a video on the proper procedure on how to empty the magazine tube without cycling every single shell

    Oops!

It would seem that one screw held the whole thing together
  9. ~chuckles~ yeah I guess it is!...but where I'm from you go to Walmart to buy some cold medicine and you have to sign for it like you was buying a new gun, show your I.D. and then can only buy very little, then I go to local hardware store to buy a **** torch and they have them locked up in a cage because of the same problem...and then I have some friends that farm that say its hard to get chicken blocks now becauses they boil down the chicken block to get something out of them to make that stuff!!!!~Aaaaaaarrrggggg!
  10. Okay, I took my standard pistol grip stock apart to see what could have happened here and I still have alot of problems understanding???....I have a M1014 that came with a non-functioning collapsible stock, I later purchased the standard pistol grip stock on the advice of a friend of mine. I have swapped the stocks out since 50 times because the gun seems to handle heavy recoil rounds better with the standard stock, I have been told it works even better for light recoil loads because the part that screws into the rear of the spring tube almost acts like a "mini" buffer like on an AR-15 or something(this I'm not sure of for the fact I never shoot any light recoil loads)...to me I can just handle the recoil of a 3" magnum slug better with the standard pistol grip stock like the old M1 had......BUT anyways the pin is milled down at the rear to accept a lock nut, under that nut is what looks to a flat piece of metal that protrudes twords the top to keep the pin from spinning, under that is about 7 washers, then the sling bracket, and then on the front side is ont thicker washer that sits in a moulded section of the stock. it would appear to me that if this pin breaks the whole **** thing would come apart!...the front of the pin in my stock has the finish gone I'd assume where something in the tube hits the pin as the gun cycles? also I noticed that when not screwed into the tube the assembly fits loose in the stock, with that being said I'd say somebody had to screw the stock on WAY too tight to make this break, it is designed to only be snugged up and then the trigger group keeps it from turning.
  11. Duggan- the standard stock does not have threads at the top like the pistol grip, the standard stock has a pin just below the recoil pad that screws into the spring tube, making this a possibe real bad situation for this fella....but on mine it cant be turned unless you remove the trigger group first?....I cant tell from what he explained but I'd almost bet it broke off in the back of the spring tube or the treads have been stripped
  12. ~chuckles~ you know I love ya Bro!, and yeah thats how you need to turkey hunt this year and perhaps I can get a bigger bird than you
  13. Duggan post that video you made on loading your M4 for him
  14. let me put in some advice here...go spend about $5 and get one of those little butane refillable torches at your local hardware store, mind you that you will have to ask them for one of these bucause it seems the meth-heads use these for smoking their junk, but trust me it makes quick work of heating up the end of the tube enough to twist it right off without any trouble and you do not have to worry about it turning into a cutting torch [ 09-16-2006, 11:55 PM: Message edited by: wingbone ]
  15. ~Just shakes head @ Diabolus.....step off and calm down a minute! these guys are just messing with you a little bit, together I'm sure they know more about Benelli's than the people that build them~chuckles~Tucker might be an a@$hole but he knows what he is talking about and would spend a month looking for the answer for you if he didnt know what it was off the top of his head~nods~ the only thing tucker doesnt know much about is turkey hunting ~gives you all the bird~
  16. I like the specter!....ummmm I'm thinkin it was the CQB3? [ 09-15-2006, 04:59 AM: Message edited by: wingbone ]

    cantilever

I have to agree with Tucker 100% on this one, slugs have been a hot topic for a while in this forum, some of us are sold on the rifled slug and others swear by the sabot....with the advances made in the production of slugs as of late I do not think a person can go wrong either way! I myself like the damage a big old 12ga. 1oz. slug causes on the other end of my hog leg
  20. Duggan on the link you posted there is no picture of the LT110 mount, know of anyplace else there is a pic?....and is there an arms mount for the Eotech?
  21. as long as the SBE or M4 comes with the rifled choke tube like the M1S90 used to come with you can shoot sabots with no problem, if your choke tube is not rifled then you might as well throw your money out the window buying sabot slugs. [ 08-12-2006, 10:50 PM: Message edited by: wingbone ]
  22. Gander Moutain is where I get mine from
  23. you guys need to trust me on what I'm about to tell you here go to your local sporting goods store and get some Winchester Super X "power point" rifled slugs! these are cheap as can be but out of my 1014 shoots better than any other slug I have used to date, I've been using the 2 3/4" 1oz. slug, it is 1700fps.....make sure the box has the "power point" in red letters on the box. if not you're getting the regular slug that does'nt shoot as well for me....if you try these once from your smooth bore you'll love them!!!.....plus they are not $12 a box check out the link: http://www.winchester.com/news/newsview.aspx?storyid=109
  24. Duggan!!! when you are right you are right!...the Eotech on the M1014 is two thumbs up!!....WAYYYYYYYYY better than the mepro sight I'm real happy with it and havent even made it outdoors with sight yet, the Eotech is made for the Benelli!
