  1. I spoke to this a long time ago. -The military wanted metal. It got metal. -Remington's 870 went polymer, and the consensus among serious users, is that it's better. Half dozen one or the other, but I prefer metal. I view this as a cost-cutter and not a performance enhancer, for Benelli.
  2. It really looks like it could work, and be legit safe.
  3. My bet is they are very well torqued...think M4/AR. It's a headspace issue, so it's not to be messed with.
  4. Have you success with removing RE's from the m4 with red loctite, without excessively heating the receiver? I did one once and had to get it too hot for my comfort, honestly.
  5. That is current mil-spec, as of at least 1 year ago.
  6. I just used the OEM replacement style pad. No special bracket needed, fit amazing. Although, this was on the PG stock, not the C stock.
  7. Having seen his work on this forum, and having dealt with Benelli's new "red" loctite on mag tubes, I'd honestly just send it to this guy to mess with. If I ever buy another Benelli M4, I'm going to mess with it for 15 minutes, and if it doesn't go quietly, I'll ship it to ya
  8. That's right... -No-more 2-piece followers, it's a solid anodized piece now. -No more metal trigger guards. Polymer.
  9. This is a Benelli 11707, but with a mil-spec barrel. It has a fixed, modified choke, using a current production M1014 barrel. These are rather hard to find, as one might imagine. It has the extra support in the receiver-tang and the "lip" of the 11707 barrel, but features the fixed military spec MOD choke, and is chrome lined. The shotgun also features a custom mag-release, Carrier Comp Ti magazine tube (7 shot), and a Geissele "US" marked hammer, for 922R compliance, limb-saver recoil pad/buttplate, and Meprolite Night Sights. It has been fired an estimated 200 times, and functions flawlessly. Payment is via USPS money-orders, or cashier's check. Shotgun will ship to your FFL. All payment should be sent via USPS Priority, so as to allow for proper tracking. $1750 shipped CONUS. As pictured (no accessories, etc.) E-mail works best: [email protected]
  10. Now that Arisaka has come out with scout bodies without the "wings", what say you to an arisaka/scout compatible mount? It looks like it would be cake and shave off of materials and machine time.
  11. Not in the market for a mount, but wanted to vouch for the seller. He bought an M4 from me years ago. Good guy!
  12. Likely 7075 in the T6 heat treat. However, there are many, many alloys.
  13. FFT is the problem, IMO. Here is my Benelli M4 FCG with the FFT full package installed. It won't even work. At all.
  14. Normal wear. This is literally the same as the little teats wearing off of your vehicles new tires, regarding importance/"level of issue".
  15. You can find "properly used" specimens for around $14-1800. I bought mine NIB a few years back for $2500. Sold it for similar.
  16. Understood. I'll keep an eye out. How NIB does it HAVE to be?
  17. Why do you want an M1014? Collector appeal, or something else? I guess I meant...why not an 11707?
  18. Is this for collector reasons?
  19. Pin, button, and spring. SHOULD fit. This sounds viable.
  20. THIS is why "Mil-spec" or "very well developed and tested part" matters. I think, looking at pictures, that functionally, your issue is isolated to the stock itself. Sure, it worked great for a while, but now look at the suck. A good reminder to always use quality parts, or be prepared to replace them at a later date.
  21. That is too much change for me to accept without a TON of T&E, even if you gave me a setup for free. The Benelli M1014 underwent a massive T&E program, some of the results of which are available. I honestly do not think you have the resources to make me buy your system. I realize I am not "your focus", and I'm a nobody, yes, but I'm just putting that out there. Maybe after they are on the market for a good while, but now? The factory M1014 system works VERY well. Aesthetics and a different feel are not worth changing that, to me, at this point. All this said, rock on, put up some slow motion videos, get this thing into some high round-count shooters hands (I sadly am not your guy, here), and let the market decide. I am not knocking it, just being a realist about the changes made.
  22. Far beyond. I am talking with a company which is working on a new M4 (AR variant), and they have prototype guns out. They are NOT AT ALL making a radical departure from the normal platform, only using different materials, and have their own lower and upper and rail. It would not "jump off the rack at you" like this Benelli conversion, and their prototypes are estimated at around $5k/per, and they are VERY NEAR production right now.
