Congrats on the night coyote hit. I just picked up a bunch of Lake City M885 green tip. Maybe I'll take another look at the Vortex after I have a chance to flash test the ammo at night. The only thing slowing me down on the T1 at all is size/weight. I'm trying to see what options would be more low profile and lighter like the one I posted above from the Larue site. Part of my thinking with that is that if I end up using a Surefire M80 as a forend (for 922r) in addition to the Sidearmor I'll be adding some weight and I might want to save some more somewhere else. I haven't found a weight listed anywhere for the M80 though so I'm not sure how much more it weighs than the stock forend. I'll just have to wait till it arrives. Anyone have experience with Pride-Fowler stuff? Hookster

Hi Ryan, Since Kip is filling orders in the order recieved. Can I ask what your order date was? Thanks, Hookster

Does anyone have an opinion on Pride-Fowler products? Here's another optic I'm looking at on the Larue site

Yeah, I've been on the phone with Benelli Customer Service all day. They insist they don't have any interregnal grips in stock. I think you're right though, the ATF is sending us coded messages. I have an old set of TV rabbit ears I'm going to duct tape to my foil hat later tonight. hopefully that will help me decipher the communications. Hookster

No problem, if you do get one let us know what you think and post a couple pics. There've been a few people asking about the Sidearmor for the Super Nova and it would be cool if they had some SN specific feedback to check out. Later, Hookster

Welcome to the forum Grod98, I'm not sure if anyone here has a Sidearmor on a Super Nova but some of us (myself included) have Sidearmors on our M4s and are very happy with them. Here are some links to some threads with lots of info and pics: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19550&highlight=sidearmor http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19212&highlight=sidearmor http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19419&highlight=sidearmor Take Care, Hookster

Hey again, I noted one slight difference in my letter's list of the 13 imported parts that comprise the Benelli M4. Part # 10 is listed as: Buttstock (with interregnal pistol grip) I believe that to be a typo and they meant integral pistol grip. Anyway, I just thought I'd put that out there for those among us who like to read the tea leaves in these letters. Later, Hookster

Thanks much for the detailed update. Hookster

Thanks Yeti, Yeah, distortion would probably bug me. Maybe I'll take another look at the Burris. At least if I didn't like the Burris I wouldn't be out near as much $. Hookster

Hey All, I received my response letter from the ATF today. I had sent my inquiry letter to them on 8/1/09. So it was about the same 6 week response time that MeanGreen had experienced. I also got the same list of 13 parts that would need to be reduced to 10 or less to be in compliance. Has anyone else received their response recently? Take Care, Hookster

Yeah, I like the wing mount too.

There's always the classic: Ginger or Maryann
-
Yeah the SIG556s are sweet! If that's the one you want forget about the Ruger. Hold a couple garage sales and open up a lemonade stand to make up the difference.
-
Yeah, might as well just pay someone to take it off your hands now
-
Thanks for the response Yeti. What do you like better about better about the Burris? Does it seem like it would be as durable as the Trijicon? Hookster
-
Note: I had been leaning to the T1 but the reduced size/weight is one of the things that's making me look more at the RMR Hookster
-
It's 1.2 oz with the battery. I haven't found the weight for the mount but it doesn't look like it would be to bad. Are you happy with the 4 moa on your T1? Hookster
-
Falcon Tacticals site has a lot more views of it http://www.falcontactical.net/trrmrmrreddo.html

One thing that draws me more to the Trijicon vs Burris is that the frame surrounding the RMR lens looks a lot more substantial. The recoil resistance rating in the specs is also a little better (1100 G for the RMR vs 1000 G for the Burris) The one thing I'm having some thoughts about is that there isn't and on/off it would be on all the time which I guess would be OK. Batteries last 2 years constant use or 4 in dark storage so changing out once a year would be fine Hookster

Here's the mount which looks like it would keep it nice and low. I also found pictures in this thread on M4carbine.net of someone who put one in a Larue mount: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=34780 It looks like the Larue would make the sight sit higher though. I think I'd like to keep it as low profile as possible. Hookster

Hey All, I'm starting to think a lot more seriously about the Trijicon RMR for use on my Benelli (powered led version not the fiber optics/tritium version). I tracked down some at alot better price than the list price on the Trijicon site (about 175. less ) I'd like to hear any opinions on 4 moa dot (RM01) vs 8 moa dot (RM02) Some of my thoughts include: 8 moa larger dot= possibly faster target aquisition at close ranges? less precise (but we're talking shotgun here) larger dot more prone to bloom? 4 moa more precise less prone to bloom? My other thought is it may not matter too much either way. I have a Colt C-More reflex with a 6 moa dot and my EO tech is a 1 moa w/ the 65 moa doughnut of death around it. I believe Aimpoint T1s are 4moa. Any T1 owners secretly yearning for a slightly bigger dot? Anyway, I'd love to hear some feedback on the sight or dot size. Hookster

Hey Freedom, Definitely don't shoot it without a choke in place, you could damage the threads in the end of the barrel. If you got the standard three chokes when you bought it (I.C.,Mod and Full) use your Improved Cylinder for the best results with slugs Hookster

Numrich has one listed here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.asp?chrProductSKU=741620B&MC= and one listed as being for long tube here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.asp?chrProductSKU=950790&MC= I'm not sure which one would be slip in style vs ring clip Hookster

I'd be happy if I could get the M4 m80 forend that they actually do make. I'm still looking at 5-6 more weeks minimum on the backorder. But yes, it would be great if they could get a dedicated M4 weaponlight forend out soon. I have one of their AR forends= good stuff:)

Welcome to the forum Bruin, scottrh2 posted a pic of his M4 with a Aimpoint M2 in a low profile mount in post #10 of this thread: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19759 Hookster
