  1. On the side seems just as easy if not easier to accidentally release. Hard to tell without actually handling it.
  2. Noveske told me a year or two ago that it didn't fit the collapsible stock for some reason. I do not know if things have changed.
  3. I thought that adapter was only for the fixed pistol grip stock?
  4. I'd get the OEM collapsible stock and see if it functions properly without auto collapsing on you during recoil. A possible fix for the Promag unit would be to put the OEM pin into the stock. You can get the parts from Numrich.
  5. Never heard of this occurring before. Can you photograph the receiver extension to show the wear? Have you inspected the inside of the collapsible stock with a light to see if the pin that engages those lugs is in okay shape? I can assist if needed with the replacement of the receiver extension if it is warranted. Hopefully it can be avoided though since it isn't the easiest job in the world.
  6. Definitely, they should be standard issue. On a side note, they have a Minecraft one where Creepers are howling at the Minecraft moon at Kohls. I was going to get one for my daughter -- But it didn't fit.
  7. On the M4, you can see how Benelli mounted the rear iron sight on the much thicker portion of the receiver. Plus the fasteners are threaded into the steel LPA sight base. For the most part, the typical civilian M4 owner in his tactical three wolves howling at the moon 3xl tshirt wouldn't have any issues with taking the dremel to the top rail.
  8. I wouldn't recommend cutting the rail. It is better to have the recoil load spread over five fastener points than two. The thin aluminum for the receiver is easy to damage as it is.
  9. This item is now for sale! This is the conversion for existing Benelli M4 shotguns. Please note that you must send in your Benelli M4 for this modification. These colors come with matching color stock, grip and sights. The barrel, magazine tube, and buffer tube will be black for all packages; however, you may customize these colors (please email or call us to specify any customization of the colors--it may incur an extra charge). If you have questions, please call us prior to ordering. You will receive an email after ordering for instructions on how to get your shotgun to us. The completed shotgun will be shipped to an FFL of your choice with free shipping. This shotgun includes a collapsable stock, pistol grip, and 7+1 magazine tube. 10. Unique and definitely spent a lot of time and money in development. The only benefit I see is the safety selector and the rear sling mounts. The collapsible stock could be an improvement since the cant doesn't seem to be an issue like on the factory M4. Even with all those rails, you'd be served best buy adding an Ava Tactical light mount! 3200 and still hasn't met the reserve?
  11. No worries. I'm not hard up to sell. If someone can get a better deal, by all means.
  12. Is that one of those older heads that are like 45 lumen? The 500 lumen monsters are nice. I wouldn't use the fury model even though it claims 600 lumens. It's more of a flood beam and you end up with a lot more perceived barrel shadow.
  13. Beautiful. The only way it would be better is with a 14" barrel! It literally took 9 years of bitching to get this light mount built.
  14. Sadly it seems like they said, "Meh."
  15. Nice build all around. A who's who of top shelf parts.

  17. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1286443 I have a set of these. I like them better than my much more expensive Channellock pliers.
  18. The RMR doesn't automatically come on, but it has a decent run time on the moderate settings. Here is what Trijicon claims; The RM06 and RM07 battery should last four years of continual use at brightness setting #4. When left on at the brightest setting (brightness setting #8), the battery should last around 25 days. They have their tritium version, but found it to be lacking. It seemed really easy to wash out in transitional light situations. I'm okay with this on the RMR since you can co-witness through the irons. So even if it was dead, you'd still have your irons. I wish Aimpoint and Trijicon would follow the Leupold design, most users would get to change batteries around the time the battery expires in 10 years.
  19. Mine came via USPS Priority Mail, and I think I had it in 3 days. I never tried calling or emailing them. Just sent in an order on their website. I went with the RMR LED Adjustable one. Machining of the rail is very nice. It's a very lightweight package. I have three other M4's with Aimpoint T1's with 4moa dots. I'd like to replace them with this RMR setup, but I'm too lazy to try to sell off the Aimpoints with low mounts.
  20. They promptly shipped the one I ordered a week or so ago.
  21. No. The mag tubes are produced on a manual lathe. Each unit has several hours worth of machining done on it. Titanium isn't the easiest of materials to machine either. The entire outer diameter has to be machined down to a specific OD. I'm sure this is done in multiple passes to make a nicer end product. Then you you have clean up of the lathe afterwards, maintenance on the bits and so on. I'm sure they setup in a four jaw chuck rather than a three. I'm not sure if they can machine the entire tube from one end, or if they have to flip it at some point to do some of the threading. My guess is that they do batches at a time so they can Cerakote a certain number at a time. Probably whatever fills their curing oven. It's really easy to make a mistake on a lathe and end up with a titanium wind chime. I my would also guess that the FFT tubes are produced on a CNC lathe. Just to note the differences. Even packaging items up for shipping is a pita and takes a while. So in the end, each unit has probably 2-3 hours of labor in them. Some of which are highly skilled. The quantity of orders received are significant too. I don't know exact numbers on average, but they're more than you'd imagine.
  22. No. You'll get your item. When is the question. Just ordered some spare springs and followers the other day. Had them in less than a week.
  23. In my experience, I never found the activation switch on pistol lights to go real well with shotguns when actually firing the weapon. There is a lot of opportunity in jamming your fingers. Particularly with buck and slug loads. The typical Scout light shrouded tailcap presents the same problem. The exposed rubber unit of the Z61 I mentioned above is much better. If you're ridding your thumb on the back of the button for momentary control of the light, you'll learn something about recoil.
  24. I can't give a good assessment since it isn't mounted yet. I just kicked it up on mine. I don't have the weapon it is intended for since its sitting at the exporter. Since I don't have a FFL yet, I can't take possession of the serialized parts. It's hard to say which is better. I have three T1's on M4's. The T1 seems tougher and requires less interaction. You can leave it on for years where as the RMR uses the exact same battery and has a much shorter use life. There is a lot less bulk and weight with the RMR though. Both feel plenty tough to take impacts. There is a lot less visual obstruction from the RMR than the T1. You don't have the large tube or the adjustment knob to see through. Being able to use the irons through the RMR is also a plus. For popping bad piggies, I think the RMR is the way to go. I kind of want to switch mine out for t1's. I just don't want to hassle with selling my existing 4moa units. This mount is the absolute best for mounting an RMR.
  25. I got the mount the other day. The machining is great and fits the RMR perfectly.
