Any more of these stocks at that price HK?

Your order is probably done or near completion. Once you get that email, generally you're just. Few weeks away from heatgun time. I do wish they'd tie people's emails to the priority mail tracking to help avoid these problems.

Benelli M3 Super 90 HK import - M4 C Stock project
StrangerDanger replied to johnlewjohn's topic in Benelli
Just checked a M4 receiver extension's thread pitch. It is 1.0 metric pitch. -
The original weld on the Benelli might not have been sufficient. Companies like to blame aftermarket parts for problems. Sometimes it is true, sometimes it's just BS to cover for their own products failures. The only way I could see this happening is if the rail allowed for movement of the barrel during recoil. Eventually the barrel ring was hammered off. Any odd wear around the magazine tube threads?

Some Alumablack and you'd barely notice that gouge. The collapsible stock is also padding the value some.
-
Pretty sure you can use the factory sling mount with the Ava Tactical mount.
-
Avoid the Surefire M80. It's a pig. For light mounting, look into the Ava Tactical light mount. I believe it will fit your your weapon light, but ask to be certain.

Is there that much difference between M2 and M4 Benelli Shotguns?
StrangerDanger replied to awmp's topic in Benelli
You don't see many M4's in 3gun due to the weight. The M4 is built like a tank. The M2 is a lot lighter and more agile. -
I've heard some h2o's have tolerance issues as well. Mainly in the trigger group. I think I had more of the components refinished than the h2o comes with. Mine was done by WMD guns. I had to take the receiver completely apart for them to coat it.
-
I had mine done in Nickel Boron, so I could have the exterior Cerakoted different colors than the silverish finish. It was a lot of work and came out nice. However, there were a lot of tolerance stacking issues that I had to work out with polishing. Performance wise, you won't notice much. The action might seem a little smoother at best. The internal parts are easier to clean.

It's hit or miss with the FFT handguards. I believe Benelli fits each set of handguards to the weapon they're installed on. On my particular weapons, the FFT handguards fit better than OEM. They're a little tighter and the fit is more positive. My sample size is 3.

Given you have the H2O, and you plan on running the fixed pistol grip stock, you only need to replace three parts. I'd opt for the following; 1. FFT NP3 Coated Steel Magazine Tube 2. FFT Magazine Follower 3. Geiselle/Carriercomp Hammer Chances are you could get the FFT handguards, and they will fit fine if you want to avoid swapping the hammer. Another option is to use a carriercomp muted finish titanium magazine tube. It may not match perfectly to the NP3, but it would be close and you'd get the weight savings benefit.

I just looked at the pin on a 13k+ cam for the M4. The only markings on it are polishing at the 9:30 and 4:30 position if you use the little marker point as the 12 o'clock position. This polishing is from the cam contacting the bolt carrier as it reciprocates. No dimensional changes were detected from the burnishing.

I'll look to see if there is any wear marks, but I don't recall seeing any.

New Benelli M4 and my modifications and testing
StrangerDanger replied to Lindley's topic in Benelli
Check the barrel shadow without the oversized choke/comp. Consider getting a P3X 1000 lumen light. The body is longer and the bezel will extend closer to the end of the barrel. -
I'll just leave this right here. This shows the tip of the bolt handle where it engages the detent inside the bolt carrier. After years of use, you can see the titanium Design Concepts tip was starting to show deformation. The same occurs with the FFT titanium charging handle. Do they still function? Yes. How long will it take before they fall out during recoil or manipulation? Depends how much you use it. Having said that, I have two FFT charging handles and a spare. Plus one Carriercomp black bolt handle to go with my three M4's. If carriercomp ever lets more charging handles out, I'll snag some.

This is exactly why the AVA Tactical mount was developed. You'll find your weight savings to be about half a pound when moving from the Surefire M80 to the AVA. The ergonomics of the factory or OEM reproduction handguard cannot be beat. Price wise, it is roughly the same as what you would spend on a M80 setup once you sourced the mounts and rail covers.
-
Ava Tactical is what you want for a light. You'll even get a QD mount in the process. M80's are heavy and uncomfortable to hold.
-
My concern about polishing sears is the chance that the user is removing the hardened surface. This can expose softer metal that may deform easily and lead to potentially unsafe weapons. Not saying this will be the case for you, just something people should be aware of before they begin modifying parts.

Factory rail + LaRue mounts = broken LaRue mount.

I might give the limb saver mod a try.
