  1. A great philosophy but sometimes it's just simple economics that influences a sale to justify the purchase...I know firsthand...been there and done that.
  2. Should be real cool...Thank god I have an SBE to compliment my 3" Vinci, so I'm not pissed. By the way, they also introduced a new Vinci Cordoba and a Vinci Super Sport.
  3. you guys make me feel so cheap. Carlson's extended mod choke + Winchester Xpert 3" 1-1/4oz #2 steel works just fine @ $109/cs delivered to my front door...well used to deliver but here in Calif no more online purchases or resident ammo deliveries allowed(has to be face to face) 2/1/2011...that sucks. Thank God I planned ahead...
  4. Coot, actually the Vinci is a very tight gun. First thing I noticed was how well it shouldered and the ergos of the pistol grip really do help with that...in my opinion. After shooting a couple cases through it and another case of 3" steel this waterfowl season It is solid as the day I took it out of the box...nothing loose and the sound of the bolt cycling doesn't have that familiar Benelli "clink"...very solid. Tough part was buying a 14" gel pad because of my shorter LOP...$122 from Brownells...ouch. I relly like the simplicity, feel and looks of the modular design...kinda cool.
  5. That is totaly cool, a 3.5" "Super" Vinci.
  6. Better to be pissed off than pissed on! Already got a 3.5" SBE and I love my 3" Vinci so nothing lost here...oh well! I guess the question should be...if they release a 3.5" Vinci would they discontinue the SBEII??? My bet is that they will introduce some accessories and variations of the Vinci but not a 3.5" model, unless of course, they phase out the ever popular SBEII altogether.
  7. I've experienced similar problems with my SBE and they have all been operator errors. After 18 years, I did have failure to eject problems and Benelli replaced all of the springs for me...works like a new gun after 20 years of use. As said previously, let the bolt "slam shut". I used to check my chamber by pulling the bolt back slightly and then pushing it closed again as well as changing a shell when geese were approaching my duck spread and then closing the bolt quietly by hand...didn't work...click...nothing. I've also let my nephew shoot my SBE and he had a tendancy to place his left hand partially under the feed ramp ever so slightly but just enough to depress it a quarter inch or so. The gun wouldn't cycle properly that way and once I figured the little nuances that effected the SBE's performance, it's all good now. I hope it's just a man error and not a gun problem...good luck with it and hope all goes well.
  8. If the M2 is as like new as you describe, that is a fantastic deal...as for the standard chokes...is it just one choke or all of the chokes, IC, MODIFIED AND FULL that originally came with the gun.
  9. I've read and heard that they kick like a mule, very close to the 3-1/2" recoil but haven't heard or read that it is causing any gun malfunctions.
  10. Read the response under M1 Questions . There are two sources listed that sell Benelli barrels although I don't know if they can sell or ship gun parts out of the USA.

    Chokes?

For extended chokes I would recommend Carlson's Chokes at http://www.choketube.com/ Briley Chokes at http://www.briley.com/

    M1 Questions

The Benelli M1/M2 barrels will work for your HK M1. I would suggest contacting Benneli customer service to verify for peace of mind. I believe Able Ammo has the best prices for a new barrel http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=9935_16854&sort=3a&filter_id=201 Numrich also sells the Benelli barrels http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=10307
  13. I don't have an SBEII but have shot an HK SBE for 20 years and bought a new Vinci early in 2010. I love them both. I wouldn't trade the SBEII for a Vinci only because the SBEII has everything a man needs in a shotgun. I like my Vinci as much as my SBE so it's only a matter of your needs that you should consider. I rarely, if ever, shoot 3.5# shells anymore but it's nice to have that option. As for the safety issue, to me it's about mentaly compensating for it, nothing more. After awhile, it'll become second nature. If I were buying a new shotgun for the first time, again, consider your needs. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Vinci over the SBEII or vice versa...
  14. All is forgiven and glad things worked to your satisfaction...good luck with your Benelli SBEII...It should last a lifetime.
  15. Your responses mirror that of the liberals that I have crossed on some political blogs. You ranted rather incessantely and then have the nerve to decide who's qualified to comment. ILMAO! FYI...try to spell check next time...
  16. That's good to hear...problem solved for now.
  17. You should probably follow your own advice and "try to be mature(childish name calling) and please do not provide useless comentary". ...sorry if I offended you...Your rants just resemble that of an unhappy "liberal" and you probably could have saved yourself a lot of grief by not jumping ahead of the horse and sending such nasty letters to both Benelli and Briley without at least an honest attempt to resolve the issue with their customer service departments and then posting your hasty resolve for all to read. If you go into a situation looking for a fight you'll probably get a fight...if you go in looking for a resolution, you'll probably get that too... My pappy always said to make sure you have your ducks all in a neat little row before you shoot them...seems you could use some sound advice like that...
  18. ...I would suggest contacting Benelli customer service about sending the choke in for replacement.
  19. ...bet you voted for Hope & Change also...
  20. Will that stock fit the SBE? Numrich has a different part number for the S90 stock although the only difference is the letter at the end of the part number.
  21. They've offered wooden stocks since the SBE was first introduced to the US by HK. Benelli still offers a wood stocked SBEII.
