  1. I have a vinci and i got a carlson blackcloud choke mid range which works great with all loads
  2. I was curious about the ways you all cook your ducks and geese. I have read up on alot of different ways, but I wanted to know what you all found works best for different species. I usually make a good deal of jerkey with mine, its easy and tastes really good. But anyways, whats the best!?
  3. Im at school in south dakota right now, the season is pretty much over here and it was very slow! Im heading back to western wyoming this week to hopefully alot better hunting. I really hope that we get a good push of birds soon cause its been a slow one so far. If not, there are always coyotes and rabbits:)
  4. I think so too. I wonder if they will use the vinci three piece design an other guns in the future? I kinda doubt that this new one will have it though
  5. I have the vinci and also the carlson blackcloud choke...it patterns great with blackcloud and other loads as well. plus it looks sweet!
  6. I have had my vinci since june and not had any problems. I have however dropped a little bit of the oil that comes with the gun on the bolt head and where is comes in contact with the barrel. I have shot alot through this gun without any problems...try making sure this is lubed well. Hope you have some better luck
  7. I was just wondering what you all have to say about the vinci, now that the gun has been out for a while and duck season is now well underway....just curious what you guys think. thanks! p.s. if ya got pics lets see em!
  8. I will make jerky out of some of it...its pretty tasty, and easy.
  9. I agree completely! I got mine the first week of June and it has been a workhorse ever since. I do baby it, but I have let it go a while without cleaning and when i went to clean it, i expected it to be pretty nasty, but was suprised when hardly any built up was there. The gun is extremely tough. I was hunting last weekend when it was 15 out and i had ice build up all over the gun, but when it came time to shoot it fired three off like it was no big deal. As far as the plastic goes...i dont see there being any problem.
  10. benelli....not benellie haha
  11. benellie doesnt make any yet, do you just need more pull length?
  12. it has done everything for me...i havent had one problem in five months i have had it.
  13. all benelli's are awesome!! its everyones opinion and some guns just work better...but hey, if you buy a benelli you cant go wrong! p.s. opening day for ducks here tomorrow...SO EXCITED!!!!
  14. ok cool thanks...yeah i just got one of those public land maps so i think i have a spot lined up for opening day of duck this weekend
  15. ok thanks! i actually got the chance to go to cabelas and check it out on another gun. i was just worried that something might have come loose.
  16. The cordoba is awesome, but i have been ver impressed with the vinci as far as how clean it stays. its really amazing and when the time come to clean the gun...it can be done it a snap. The in-line system really does keep the muzzle climb down and thats a fact...either way you get a great gun...never shot the cordoba, but the vinci is the real deal!
  17. I just got a carlson blackcloud mid range choke for my vinci and i got to shoot it today. It worked great and when i patterned it along side of my regular mod choke...it seemed to throw a better more uniform patter...plus a busted a ton of clays with it. I really like it and i love the gun as well. good luck
  18. I just want to know if anyone out there is from south dakota? I am from wyoming (cody) but i am going to school in south dakota at the u of south dakota and would really like to hunt as much as possible....so i was wondering if anyone would know where some good places are and if they had any advice for someone new to the area. thanks!
  19. for ducks i prefer 3 inchers...they reach out a ways and if by chance some geese sneak up on ya you are ready for that as well. 3.5 are nice for geese but really expensive and in my opinion not needed. also a number 4 shot would probably work best, but anything from bb-4 would work. good luck
  20. hey no problem! Also do you notice on yours that the bolt head will slide back and for by jusy tipping the gun up and down while the action is open? does that make since? If you would check that would be great
  21. The trigger assembly comes out very easy. all you do is pop the pin out and pull the trigger assembly up and out...very easy to clean and for the most part really doesnt need much cleaning, even after several boxes of shells. And about getting the gun assembled, it does take some force and you have to make sure it is in the take down mode with the white dot showing. after a few times it becomes alot easier.
  22. I love it!! Everytime i shoulder i don't even have to think about it and it shoulders perfectly. I put an easy-hit bead on it and i like that alot...i guess the only thing that i haven't found to be perfect about the gun i that it doesnt shoot 3.5. This isn't a big deal cause i have never hunted with 3.5's but i think what they will do is just make a barrel reciever that is chambered to 3.5 so you can just screw that on. All in all though i am extremely happy with my purchase...i was a little hessitant at first but after shooting hundreds of rounds through it i couldnt be happier
  23. I came very close to buying the super black eagle, as well as the m2 field this past month, but i decided to go with the vinci instead. I can tell you one thing you will not be dissapointed with the vinci, it has a feel and swing that cant be matched. The things that sold me on this gun are the extreme ease of dissasembly, the way it comes up and points for me, and the balance this gun has. Cleaning my guns isnt one of my favorite things, but with this gun it is beyond easy and thats worth the price alone. As far as not shooting 3.5 shells, it really didnt matter to me. I had a supernova for years and never shot one 3.5 incher. They are too expensive and are pretty much never needed. So in my opinion go with the vinci, but if thats not your style the supr black eagle will be awesome!
  24. I bought a vinci about a month ago, and not until about i week or two ago did i realize something...well the action is pulled about halfway back, are you supposed to be able to move the bolthead back and forth with your other finger? its really hard to explain this, but i noticed on the super black eagle, when you do the same thing and push the bolt head down, it comes back up with a spring. but if anyone has a vinci can you do me a favor and see if yours does the same...
