  1. Those kind of "chamber locks".......aha. Omega Systems explains the locking action mechanisms on their website.......shotguns included. http://www.omegagunlock.com/companyinfo.htm
  2. Do you mean how is the bolt held open in a Benelli M1,M2,M4 ? Or, how does the Benelli bolt lock up into battery with the barrel extension?
  3. Stranger, Could you have used this QD mount ? seems like it would have been a simpler fabrication.
  4. Most know the 2nd Amendment – Right to Bear Arms “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” What many don’t know is the rationale for it’s placement before the 3rd Amendment – Quartering of Soldiers “No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.” History has shown these two issues are inextricably linked! Absent the 2nd Amendment .......it's pretty hard to enforce the 3rd !
  5. Remember the "2-3/4" is the standardized length of a cartridge AFTER it has been fired......which is sized for the chamber / ejection port lengths of the gun. I am not aware of a industry standard unfired cartridge size as it relates to magazine capacity specifications, as spring coils etc will influence the available space in the magazine tube. As mentioned above, when you are not getting the full advertised magazine capacity, it's usually cartridge selection. From the depths of the peanut gallery........
  6. ........always asking the tough questions ! IF right-handed, I guess you could toggle it with the right index finger, but it doesn't look natural.
  7. He might, but it appears his emotions for Benjamin are stronger than those for Benelli.
  8. Use the 8-32 T nut style to secure your screws.
  9. Stranger......you seem like you are getting back towards similar options discussed before using the factory forend and direct attachment of rails ?
  10. Lot's of choices....large / small, steel / titanium, color, spin / no-spin, weight
  11. Hijacked from another forum, but interesting fact. According to the FBI, in 2011 a total of 323 people were killed by rifles, in that same year 496 people were killed by hammers, therefore I present to you the Assault Hammer! In Tactical Black of course, with several added features to make it more deadly, it has a bayonet, a killer red dot sight, a forward pistol grip, a sniper bipod, a homicidal adjustable stock and a laser for unerring accuracy.
  12. Please choose to put me on your ignore list so you can spare yourself viewing my next 302 useless remarks. I'll do likewise, as reading your first 4 have been equally uninspiring.
  13. Always a single-digit poster stirring the pot in this happy Village.
  14. ........Yes.
  15. .............
  16. ................
  17. Use LaRue Tactical Clips to control the wire; they have 3 variants to tuck and hide the wires amongst the rail lugs. Server won't upload photos for some reason !
  18. It's hard to beat the quality of the SureFire and the Larue QD mounts.....I use a bunch of them and must have every one that LaRue makes. Surprisingly, LaRue did not have a universal off-set rail mount, so I modified their SureFire offset QD mount with holes drilled / tapped on the backsides of the optional rails, so now it may be used for the SureFire's, but can substitute variable length rails on the off-set mount to accommodate RMR's, laser range finders or whatever. Also, most off-set mounts have only a short segment of rail limiting their use to certain devices, e.g. the Daniel Defense shown. OP might be able to incorporate this idea into his mounting plans.
  19. Stranger. Nice neat photos and a clean work bench. The receiver lock nut is a 27 mm for those that have that size. After cleaning off any debris as you described and before you apply the heat, they can also use a silver sharpie to index mark the tube to the receiver as well as count exposed threads rearward to the locknut for reference when re-assembling.
  20. For my sake, just rising to the level of the inquiry.
  21. Yes. Just Google / YouTube it. Report back on your results.
  22. The above photo is a factory 14" M4. They come shiney ended and there is no 14" barrel designation.
  23. The 14" barrel muzzle face is shiney so you can signal aircraft if you need to. Benelli thought of everything.
  24. What TruckCop said. Mix & Match if you are unsure. Federal Reduced Recoil right next to full load #00.
