So it doesn't fit the profile perfect? I am looking for the Limbsaver Airtech with the closest matching profile to the original. It wouldn't be for a collapsible stock. I am thinking of putting it in my field stock. I did just spend close to $170 on a different pad for a different project. Maybe I will just use that one. How does the Airtech compare to the old? I am assuming you have both now.

Hecc yeah I am interested. What prevents the newer Limbsaver Airtech from going on the aluminium stock? Is it the recoil tube extends too much into the stock?

Do you know which number fits the regular stock?

My mistake, just found some old pictures of my M1014, it did indeed have the older barrel design. I just happened to have the an extra updated barrel.

The shell stop/bolt release latch tilts towards the shell on the carrier to release a new shell. if there is already a shell on the carrier, it can't tilt all the way in.

Yup. So far I like it. It pairs well with my LPA D5 green fiber optic. The HIVIZ dot was just too tiny for me and super tall. I would like to try the LPA front red fiber optic and maybe some night nights soon.

There is not a shorter version. Did you inspect the threads? If the store has one of the included tools, you can try to chase down the barrel.

So the newest M4A1 hads a spring clip under the barrel to lock the gas pistons plugs, do the M4s we get here in North America have that?

#8 is totally uneeded and a waste of money to be honest. How often are you going to have a spring fail? If you lose it or break a part, just buy it as needed.

That spanner wrench is the wrong tool for the job. It works, but not as well plain old 4mm punch (or 5/32" would work too in this case). If you invest into the this hobby, you should have punch set anyways.They are so useful for so many things! I damaged one of my guns when I was new because I had the wrong tools for the job.

FFT does not offer one. But the most common ones are from Briley, Taran, and GG&G. I can't comment on those as I am using some white dummy rounds from a different brand. The orange one has good reviews.

Buy some dummy rounds and practice loading. You might want the longer shell lifter. I've personally never had a thumb bite from the M4 lifter, but many do. You might want to replace the bolt release button. Most people do that as well.

Your best bet is to order from benelliparts.net when it appears. There's different ways to make it compliant. The easiest manner is to buy the kit that replaces the button.

I once owned the M1014 with a serial number around M1014-17XX. It had the updated barrel extension on it with the curved chamber and ring support on it. No chokes.
