  1. yep black rtv and no need for set screws but the idea wasn't mine I saw it somewhere else. I sent an email to Stryke to see if the forend was 922r compliant but never got a response.
  2. I know this is an old thread but this is not true I had my m4 entry barrel threaded for standard m4 chokes by briley so I could mount a salvo.
  3. its hard to believe that being the premier firearms plating people they weren't profitable. I would have thought they were making money hand over fist.
  4. I agree completely federal flite control all way. All you need to do is youtube up some tests of flite control vs non flite control and you'll see there's no reason that shouldn't be your first choice.
  5. If you can find it federal #1 buck appears to be ideal. Below is the sku #. LE1321B
  6. yes it does though I'm not sure that it won't need to be redone from time to time.
  7. ok here are some pics. I put the RTV in the channel and let it set up over night I didn't degrease it first but maybe I should have. Not sure if its a permanent fix or something that would need to be redone occasionally. It beats the hell out of paying $500 plus for another M80.
  8. I just wanted to share my experience so far with the Hayl Rail. Personally I like it and think it looks better than all of the other options out there including the M80. People don't like the idea of set screws and I agree but if you run some RTV in the channel front and back of the forend it sits on the gun nice and tight with no wobble. I can post some pics if anyone is interested.
  9. Thats the same as the experience I just had with the customer service guy I talked to. Apparently one of my pic rail screws walked out at some point so before I ordered them I called and they shipped out two screws and two washers I think I had them three days later.
  10. the link at the start of this thread now only gives an error hopefully that doesn't mean that this forend has been scrapped.
  11. I talked to Briley today to pay for my barrel threading and I asked about the forend and they said its not ready and to just keep checking.
  12. I've never had any issue ghost loading my M4. I'm not saying I've done it 10000 times but still no issue for me.
  13. Thanks I appreciate the info. Briley has my entry barrel for threading so I'll talk to them next week most likely and see if there is an update.
  14. Anyone have a guess when this will be available?
  15. That looks good. Also thats a fair point on the hayl with set screws. I have time to wait for the briley since I'm waiting on the nfa and they just cashed my check for my entry m4.
  16. Have you handled the hayl rail if so why is it junk?

    M4 home safety

It should hold 5 are you using rio or somerhing like that. As far as sagety goes I never had an issue with having one in the chamber and safety on with seven in the tube and one ghost loaded.
  18. I would think laser engraving would be ok but I would think it would need some refinishing.
  19. I think $350 is about as much as its worth. $579 is ridiculous for something with an msrp of $230. I've talked to a couple of people wanting $500 and I have gladly passed. Going to try one of the hayl rails for a very reasonable $129. I have an M80 and I'm pretty sure I paid $180 shipped.
  20. Anyone have one under $500?
  21. ethos is a good looking gun. I fired one but only a few shots and it was nice.
  22. pretty sure you'll be happy with it. After mine came into my local shop my dealer sold 3 or 4 after taking pics of mine and feeling it.
