Randy L. Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I was just curious to what kind of call everyone likes to blow. I favor a Foiles SMH for geese and an Echo Timber XLT for ducks....... Quote
AL_Waterfowler Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I have LOTS of calls, but am partail to my RNT calls...I use them the most. Quote
cut emnova Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Sean Mann all the way, i blow a Shorty Sweet Talker for honkers and the competition hybrid for quackers. Quote
mudhen Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Pretty much all Winglocks. Nothing fancy, I just like to kill ducks... mudhen - CA Quote
NateDog Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Mudhen told me about Winglock calls and I purchased one a couple of months ago. Great sounding call that won't cost you an arm and leg. I took it out and was blowing for some the guys I hunt with on opening day. They all wanted to know what I was blowin'. Quote
Cleric Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Have a few of cheap to mid calls... all blow about the same. The Winglocks are something I haven't tried, but really need to get on my lanyard. I have a RNT Original in Acrylic which is my only "high-end" call. I have to say that the acrylic material really does make a substantial difference for me. It is a great call. Quote
Orphanedcowboy Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 This year I ordered a Cadence Timber Duck call and it sure is easy to blow and works great on the ducks. Quote
snow gooser Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 For me i blow a hayes calls stinger for the geese, and a a echo poly/diamond for the ducks. Quote
TMAC Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I use a Primos timber wench for high balls and hails and a Illinois River wood call for the quieter raspy stuff, the timber wench was cheap but it does the job. Quote
benny365 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Foiles, Foiles and Foiles Duck, Duck Goose Quote
tucker301 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Quackhead very sparingly on ducks. Big River Long Honker of geese. I'm working on learning how to use the shorter calls for geese. Quote
Cleric Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Don't hunt goose a lot, so I started with a short-reed for a challenge. Oiy. Need to pick up something different... when I'm not buying duck calls... so, maybe not for a while Quote
