Fixed. I migrated from GoDaddy to a private server, so I am less at risk from Big Tech deciding they don't like gun products or my politics. We are through some start-up bugs. I think I have a strategy. Stranger Danger confirmed to me that over the past 12-18 months there were a bunch of trigger groups that no longer could just drop-in parts that previously needed no adjustment. He attributed it to pin hole locations in the lowers. I have not taken any measurements, so I don't know the reason, but I had observed the same thing. He also thinks those cases are getting less frequent. So my strategy will be to make another run of these hammers to the original spec, which is a little fatter, and advertise them as 'some fitting might be required'. I also have a pretty good notion that these will fit M1, M2, M3, M4, Nova, SuperNova, and a bunch of other guns I will list on my site. The Benelli part numbers are not all the same, but I think the only difference is the surface coating, which might be more corrosion resistant for the M4 military needs.

I bought a bunch of Black Aces for blasting and they cycle well. They are a bit long which may limit capacity. RIO works good as well and tends to be less expensive over the core American brands. Fetter as well, although I doubt we will see russian around much longer.

Both. Both failed to clear the ejection port. I am sure since both are 1145fps. Mine seem to like 1250ish and up. Patterns I don't recall a difference. I used to have some photos but must have deleted them. It was a long time ago.

Not all shot shells are the same length either. I've found Fetter 00 buck (from Russia) are slightly shorter than normal and will fit 7 in a 7 round mag. Here in Texas Academy Sports is selling the 25 round boxes for $16.99 ($.68 a round) which is a pretty good deal; they all go bang so far.

I should note that in my 18.5” barrel M4’s I run a cylinder choke. Anything tighter interferes with the versatite (and FliteControl) wads.

Part of the "what if" exercise is a weapon's weight and length when looking at SHTF scenarios: "What if" my truck was the primary transportation for exodus if the SHTF, which weapon to carry and what weight/length? "What if" I had to backpack out of the area, which weapon to carry and what weight/length? "What if" I decided to 'bunker-in" in my house, which weapon to carry all the time and what weight/length? "What if" my neighborhood decided to form a Mutual Assurance Group, which weapon to carry and what weight/length AND which weapon to give to a neighbor? "What if" via the SHTF I had to hunt for food, which weapon to carry and what weight/length? "What if" given the many SHTF scenarios, which weapon caliber is best for the situation and how many rounds do I carry? Yes, a great deal to think about, I and applaud you for considering the "what if" scenarios. si vis pacem, para bellum !

Web site is back up. GoDaddy died on us and took a week to fix. I've now migrated to a private server and the web site is back up. I was on the fence about making more of these, I've decided to take a stab. As best I can tell, about 18 months ago there seemed to be perhaps a new batch of trigger components, and suddenly my hammers would not reset on new M4s. I bought two M4 for this project, I'm not going to buy a third, but I will likely see if anyone has a new trigger group they would lend me to take measurements. I have also sent an email to Benelli Italy, to see if they will share the hammer drawings. Might be a long shot, but making these guns more accessible for 3-gun shooters who need 922R is likely in their benefit. As a side note, I got asked if these will work in an M2/M3. I don't know. MGW shows a different part number for M2/3 versus M4, but that could be something like gloss black versus matte black finish, they might still swap. Called Benelli USA customer service, and apart from telling me they have different part numebrs, they did not know if they would swap. So I bought a M2 hammer and will have a look. I do know the M4 hammer works in a Nova/SuperNova. It has an extra sear on the back of the hammer spur that isn't needed, but it still works. Art

The commemorative M1014 that originally had the 1-2500 run have a functioning collapsible stock, the only reason it doesn't work is because the receiver extension isn't machined for the notches to adjust. I have heard that California didn't like even this neutered stock since it effectively has an install notch and the fully extended locked position. Being california, they couldn't see that this was not a usable position. Some importers have added a screw beneath the cheek riser which prevents the adjustment button from being pressed. This really complicates disassembly of the firearm. The importers used something akin to red Loctite which makes it difficult to remove without heat. 1. Does the stock unscrew the same easy way that any of the pistol grip stocks come off? It's similar. However the collapsible stock is two pieces. The tail stock piece and the pistol grip section. The tail stock piece uses the unlock button and the notches in the receiver extension to adjust and be removed from the shotgun. The pistol grip section is very similar to the field and pistol grip fixed stock where it just unscrews from the receiver when the trigger frame is removed. The only slight difference is the collapsible stock screws onto the receiver extension up near the base of the receiver. If you look at the receiver extension and see the 27mm jam nut, there is an identical one inside the pistol grip collapsible stock portion that threads onto the receiver extension. The field and pistol grip stocks attach at the sling mount thru the threaded hole at the end of the receiver extension. 2. Does it come with a recoil tube that has the 3-position detents, even though they are not visible or usable with that stock? All M1014's originally come with the 1 position neutered receiver extension. The only ones that have been changed are from gunsmiths and end users. Looking at this old photo of mine, you can see the three types of receiver extensions. I've never seen a 2 position stock in the wild. Only ones received from Numrich arms. 3. Does the barrel have the threads that are necessary for attaching chokes on the end of the barrel? All M1014's do not have a threaded choke. However, you can have one added if you wish by companies like Rose Action Sports or Briley.
