Benelli would do well to apppoint a regular member with reputation to have low level admin power, honestly. What a crap shoot.
a velocity filter would be useful, stopping members/IP from doing more than 2 new posts an hour or something.
They typically attack forums on holiday weekends to sell their micro penis supplies knowing the forum moderator doesn’t do any kind of work off the clock.
How does one go about becoming a moderator? As mentioned here, there are a few retired gentlemen who can run it, and Im sure others who are on here consistently. Is there some way to register with Benelli in order to do so, or are they employees of Benelli?
There are some of us who diligently report spam on this forum. It wouldn't take much of anything to assign a staffer (there are three who are forum admins) to monitor their email during a holiday break and deal with the problem in a timely fashion when the spam report emails pour in. This problem of the holiday forum hijacks is only going to get worse in the future if not checked.
Yes, it’s pretty easy. I’ve played the mod game on a couple other forms before. When they ban the individual all of his posts will be gone in one fell swoop.
I sent an admin a message last night. I posted this this morning.
I know the mods work for free and on their own time and all that stuff but man this is kind of nuts.
