  1. Well, I've read all of these posts and I have a couple of observations to make. 1. I'm pleased to see that these issues can be discussed civily, without anyone stooping to personal attacks. 2. Apparently, and correct me if I'm wrong... but apparently, there are varying opinions on the subject

    Unloading

Pushing the shell into the mag helps relieve some of the tension, but it's still a difficult way to unload. I simply press the release on the trigger guard and cycle the bolt to unload them one by one.
  3. I had four gobblers in the field across the road from work this morning. Easy pickin's for my 22-250. And at just around 100 yards, head shots would be a breeze.
  4. Enjoyed all of the comments and discussion. I'm a little disappointed we didn't solve these problems here and now, but intelligent discussion is better than argument and conflict Regarding the sale of public lands that T Dubya mentioned. http://www.fs.fed.us/land/staff/spd.html
  5. The problem, as I see it, is that Muslims think they're right and we're wrong. We, on the other hand, think we're right and they're wrong. Ultimately, the world has been too small and cultures are clashing as never before in human history. We all must respect, even if we don't understand or agree with, each other's traditions, religions, and ways of life. It is impossible for a Muslim to see our agressions as acts of salvation, just as it is impossible for us to see theirs the same way. American culture is a threat to the way these people have lived for thousands of years. Some of the simplest of liberties we enjoy are seen as radical and unacceptable behaviour by them. They know no differently, and they believe that their way is the only way. They would willingly and without hesitation, give their lives so that their customs are preserved, and so that their children will live as they have - in devout service to their God. I don't know the answers, but I do know that as long as these people (and there's a helluva lot of them) see America as the downfall of the basis of their being, then they're going to fight us. This war is different than previous wars where the enemy was a foreign government. This war is against a people - like it was with native Americans. Look what we had to do there in order to achieve victory. This is how the Muslims see us... and they're the Indians. They're not all that excited about genocide, and frankly, I'm not either. If we could get back what we've squandered in Iraq, and focus it on alternative energy sources and efficiency improvements in our consumption, we'd be that far ahead of the game instead of so far behind. Yes, the soldiers are volunteers, and they gave their lives for their leaders. I admire and respect that like no other. But, the leaders have lied about the reasons for going to war, they've lied about what the costs would be, and they continue to lie about what the results have been and will be. Either cowboy up and deal with them like we did the Indians - or get the f*** out and leave them to live their way of life. [ 03-01-2006, 11:41 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  6. Ted Kaczynski Eric Rudolph Timothy McVeigh /just sayin'
  7. Just PM'd smong2000 with good news. Benelli will convert the safety. A nominal fee of $20 is involved. If anyone other than Benelli does it, the warranty is voided for liability reasons.
  8. With regards to Muslims and Christians, and Jews, Catholics, and all of the rest so-called religions. More souls have been lost to religions over the ages than they ever have or ever will save. Anything that promotes hatred and intolerance the way religions do, has no place in the hearts of truly Godly beings.
  9. Unfortunately, we can't choose our elected officials based upon ala cart issues. Yes, the GOP is great when it comes to protecting our right to bear arms, but they SUCK on just about every other issue. It's tough to put my desire to be able to own a firearm ahead of so many dead soldiers and innocent people who have died for no other reason than the failings of the Bush Admin. It's tough to put my 2nd Amendment rights ahead of the crippling debt amassed by this administration in their misguided efforts to spread American Democracy to parts of the world that neither want it, or need it.
  10. I did better after two beers
  11. Here's the pic via mudhen's e-mail. Still not great resolution, but better.
  12. I'm not sure I like the "tacky feeling" GripTight" overcoating idea. Sounds like a DirtMagnet technology to me. That Montefeltro Silver has got me drooling though!
  13. Can we nominate and sponsor individuals to go?
  14. Shouldn't that be, "He was crazy". He IS bear shite
  15. Capitalization and punctuation are just as important as using good grammar.
  16. Good enough. I got all of my decoys back together, cleaned up the boat yesterday. Now I'm touching up some goose dekes. Flocking kits on the way via Ebay.
  17. Hevi-Shot, junior. Isn't that what you asked about?
  18. He never sent it to me, or I would have posted it. I guess he's hunting, shooting, scouting something today.
  19. Ahhhh.... Yeah, they're probably OK on that one
  20. When you're where they want to be, you can't shoo them away. When you're elsewhere, nothing brings 'em in. Most successful hunts are from following and watching the birds, and setting up where they were the day before. 2 mile cornfields make it tough. One footnote: I'm anal, so please bear with me. Canada goose Canada geese Canadians are people from Canada, not geese
  21. Matt, The images must be uploaded to a web server.
  22. Couldn't we just lock the door for a while?
  23. Those chicks are hot... in a 15th Century sort of way M1014 - You've outdone yourself!
  24. Between the two of them, they've got 3 outta four nailed. Murder? - Probably not. At least not by their very hands, but I'd bet they've got some people who know some people.
