The Jellyhead is an awesome tube.Primos gets my respect for producing two fine tubes, with the Tightwad being the second.I've noticed that the JH produces competitive patterns in a very wide selection of shotguns.I only wish Quaker Boy would take a notice....

Who's hunting more than one....
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff replied to TookyriverCalls's topic in Turkey Hunting
This year is still in the works, but so far it's Fl,Ga,Sc,Mo,Pa,Ny,Ny and Wv. It's hard to organize them because I try to hit all the Spring shows at Bass Pro,Cabela's and etc. for seminars and such.If anyone in any of these places has a floor I can sleep on,I'm bringing my sleeping bag;) The part I love the most about the travel is the extreme roadtrip feeling,I call it "barn storming". There are so many awesome people and stories in these little towns you hit on the trail.I can't thank the Lord enough for the oppertunity that He has blessed me with. Tooky, where are you going in Pa for the opener?I'm hitting the Poconos, after Mothers Day. -
Is that o-ring detachable? I've seen o-rings used on them to put at the mouth end near the tip so you could position your lips consistantly in the same place so there are no surprises when you go to yelp. They are also used sometimes to change the harmonics of the call by sliding it up and down the shaft. This one is very interesting indeed. If a deer was seen anywhere near Wildwood, our ER would be full of heart attack victoms:D

Goose makes perfect Kee-Kees on aluminum. At the Southern Open,Sadler Magraw used one that sounded like a guy on a diaphram.IDK how turkey bone sounds. Thanks
-
The 2008 line will be revealed at the SHOT show in 1 week, you may want to hold out a little longer to see what is coming. This years models will go down a little in price as the new ones start rolling in.Also,I'd hate to see something better or in a new pattern,a week after spending that much money.Just a suggestion...

TRC,do you have any experience with goose wingbone strikers? I want one to make kee-kee runs in the friction division. They are few and far between, but that on aluminum is what won the Southern Open this year.My carbon on glass is close, but not enough. Thanks

What is the single most frustrating factor?
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff replied to CH/QuakerBoyProstaff's topic in Turkey Hunting
It just drives me crazy, because it gives people the false impression that they are not doing it the "right" way,and that some 9yr old kid is a better hunter then them because the kid shot a 150b&c buck in a clover field with ten "non shooter" 12 and 130 bucks standing around.Or every time you go out in the morning, you hit the owl call one time and the gobblers always are there hammering away and it's all textbook from there. -

BartMan,the editing they do on these shows is UNREAL.If you had the chance to watch one of these things being put together in person and then saw the final product on tape, you would think that you were watching something completely different. They fuse footage from different days together sometimes to make it all look so easy. Not all are like that, but most are because of the pressure to kill gobblers It used to be that you could watch and learn great tactics and hear fantastic calling and be able to apply that to your own hunting, but now even that is in question. It revolves more around selling product now then helping people learn. It's kinda sad in a way.I believe in selling through teaching. But I don't get mad if someone doesn't buy on of our products because they like another one better,I'm just happy that they are out there grinding it. -
It is possible. The TruGlo tubes are produced in-house in Richardson Texas.

I also took a look at your site. You have some very top notch calls.Keep up the good work!

Welcome to the Benelli family. There is a seperate gun known as the M1 Super 90 ,which is what I shoot, and it is completely different than the Monte. The only thing they really have in common is the bolt. As for the choke check out the Rhino website, for it has everything listed. There is a phone number there so you can contact them direct.Joe Morales is the owner and one heck of a nice guy. These guys are the masters of making shotguns killing machines.I hope I was able to help.

I wonder how this effects LOP

The SteadyGrip pad on my M1 is not a pop in.It has two screws for the pad.IDK if this has been changed for the newer stocks.

Son's first Super Nova....SG vs CT
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff replied to 10Gauge's topic in Turkey Hunting
I since added the "real" CT recoil pad, like the one the SBEII and M2 has,and that changed EVERYTHING.The stock SN pad is hard and has no give, the surgical rubber pad does an excellent job.I was shooting 3.5 shells at my last session and was able to keep grinding.Usually I saved that gun for last so I could end the day with the sore shoulder instead of start it that way.I use a pad on my shoulder as well that is affixed into my shirt and that stock pad STILL hurt with 3.5's. I was fortunate to by my new CT pad at Cabela's for $10 in the bargain cave.A new one runs $69,but I feel it's well worth it. -
Before I reply, let me make this statement.I am not affiliated in any way to the makers of Hevi-Shot. Ok. now, Before you buy anything,if you have access to a 12ga.gun,try shooting a few rounds of Hevi-13 shotshells in 3in. 12 ga. The recoil from these shells is comparable to that of a magnum 20ga load. The velocity of this load in #6shot is only 1,090 f.p.s.,but what these pellets do down range is insane.#1 is shoot what you are most comfortable with,I just wanted to throw an option out there so things might open up for you.

Check into the 2008 Remington turkey line. They have a new pistol grip stock that can be shot either right or left handed. These guns are available in pump or auto. The stock is also sold seperate,in case you would like to add it to an existing gun(or perhaps used and save $$$)Good Luck!
-
Why are you selling it?
-
I use the R3 pad on my 7600 '06 and am happy with it.
-
Since Muzzleloading season is a distant memory for many, head down to your local sporting goods store and look for a discounted tube of breech plug greas. This stuff works wonders on choke threads!
-
If you can get you hands on some "Hevier than lead"type loads such as Hevi 13,Win extended range,or Wingmaster HD turkey, you should see some very effective patterns out to 40+ yds with the factory full choke.Only time at the patterning board will tell...
-
I don't believe so,as the Cordoba was designed to be a high volume wingshooting gun.The M2 and SBEII have such stocks because they built for versatility in many types of hunting and shooting. The Cordoba is a "Specialist"

Good point, both of you. The crazy thing for you GW must be all the Floridians heading up there to hunt on Ga. land because they think it's so much better!Crowds,eh? -
Honkers,do you ever go to the Hamberg Cabela's?They have a TON of aftermarket Benelli Choketubes in the package in the Cave for under $20 apiece.Waterfowl, turkey, you name it.
-
Ditto for Cabela's locations nationwide.I bought mine in the bargain cave at hamburg for $10! They might have more in there, but if they don't there are new ones on the shelf.
-
If your gun is a Comfortech model, try to get your hands on a Gel pad, like the M2 and SBEII has.I found one at Cabela's in the bargain cave for $10 and put it on,and WOW! it makes an amazing difference.3.5's still aren't comfortable, but they feel like 3in mags from a regular pad.#in shells feel like hot target loads.
