  1. Amen to that... you shouldn't have to go through the "big wait" on an item that was immediately defective right out of the box. And, if the dealer won't shoot straight with you, lean on the manufacturer.
  2. However... skidaho is much better-looking that you. (Saw you in the turkey-braggin' pictures... you look like me... butt-ugly!... but much younger, I'll give you that.)
  3. Wow! Mudhen, those are some really great pics... what kind of camera did you use, if you don't mind my asking.
  4. Way to go, Mr. Frank! And congrats on your Vinci acquisition as well... AND, welcome to the forum! Got any pictures of the tom?... or your Vinci? (You'll have to post a few times before being allowed to post them for some strange reason.)
  5. Thanks for the review... "all that glitters is not gold." (Think my mom told me that about 50+ years ago!) Gonna go see her this weekend (she's 85). ALERT... DON'T FORGET MOTHER'S DAY IS COMING THIS WEEKEND!!!
  6. Sounds like a Peter Sellers flick, Blake Edwards directing, music by Burt Bacharach. So, you didn't like it, I take?
  7. Thanks, dude! I gotta' be more careful!
  8. Oops! You're right... I totally missed on that. Sorry Unobtanium. There's a trigger-pull I wish I had back! Sorry. Lordy, I have a Ph.D. BUT didn't read this carefully enough... I AM ashamed... please forgive. Been so much "flaming" lately I had decided to declare war on it. Missed on this one. You are right-on with your posts!
  9. Your "interpretation" is insulting to Duggan and some of us on the web. Why did you attack Duggan, a respected and contributing member of this web for a long time?... (for a lot longer than you have been here.) I have come to respect Duggan's contributions and hope he'll hang with us in the future. I would suggest that you consider just laying your opinion out there, but maybe not doing personal attack stuff like this. Duggan probably DOES know his rear end from a hole in the ground I would think. Lighten up, Dude. Duggan was doing his best... where was yours?
  10. Yes, you're right... my mistake. Early reports were bogus.
  11. Based on what I have read, I would agree that you need to take it to a qualified gunsmith. I have beeen very sorry in the past when I have figured that I could handle the situation when I really had never been there before... and then I was sorry.
  12. Wife is in DFW tonight. You guys had a tornado that tore up the Dallas Cowboys training facitlity (mid-afternoon). Saw the news on the Weather Channel... it was all completely ripped up. Our daughter (and wife) were less than a mile away at her apartment facility! They had no problems and were surprised when I called them. Have you seen this on the news? Wife/Daughter don't "pack heat" but you can't shoot a tornado anyway, now can You???
  13. Right. Good for you, this is not a flame... just a Bic lighter on my rear end for a second. Good deal. Carry on. I can take it. Thanks for not going for the jugular. However, in theory, nobody "takes advantage of the market" now do they? They sell or they don't sell depending on a myriad of factors... supply & demand, mis-representation, want, stupidity, etc.... (and I have been "stupid" before, but was, most of the time, "happy" afterwards")... I got what I wanted... go figure! I think THIS is what you are talking about? If you want it... you pay the price... right?
  14. Good for you. I would like to have the Civic AND the M1014... I'd give $500 for both of them! Do I get any warranties with my purchases? Speaking of the word "freak," don't you guys think there has been a lot of "freaking" out going on this forum lately (NOT this thread, but others)? Lots of flaming, fussing, etc.? Could be a sign of the times. We have trouble finding ammo, reloading supplies, finding the gun we want, we encounter purchase restrictions, and feel threatened about the future of our gun rights. All that sort of stuff would rub anybody raw. The forum didn't used to be this hostile. Just wonder if that is not what is behind all of our strife and conflict on the forum. What shall we do about it if you think it might be? Seems to me that we should be "sticking together" in these times when media is ragging us, politicians are ragging us, and our future is uncertain. My 2 cents and it's worth every bit of it. My idea is that we should quit fussing and try to present a more "unified" front as a 2nd-amendment-rights-community. If and when an opinion on the forum differs from yours, why not consider letting the guy/gal have it and either don't post or be civil in your reply. We really need to "get along" right now, I think. If you have strong opinions, please remember that others may ALSO have strong opinions opposite to yours... and they are entitle to that. Sorry for the "preaching" but I feel better now... (AND... I didn't "flame" anybody!... but will probably GET flamed???) ************************************************** P.S. The only thing that would make this "sermon" really wrong is the possibility that we are ALL just a bunch of bad-azz hooligans and don't know it!... in which case I would say: "carry on."
  15. Patrick, it is doubtful that Benelli dealers will have this in stock... but, they can order it for you. Able Ammo (Ableammo.com) ordered mine for me (right hand ) and arrived in a week (but that was BEFORE the election!). Most dealers in my area are just not stocking the Silver, left or right, but they can order it for you.
  16. O.K., Thanks. I'm putting you in charge of Tucker!
  17. Yes Sir, I am... but here in Texas, we usually say "yepper!" Yea, I've been too hard on the young nipper. He has great enthusiasm and I should NOT dampen it one bit. He knows more about shotguns than I did when I was 14. I'll back off. Thanks for the "wake-up" call. I'll be nice from now on. translation in "text" language: sorryIwassuchajerk-facedgarbonzotwitbutIwilldobetter.
  18. If you tell us "what you want" then why are you asking for suggestions? Are you 14 or something? And... Learn to use your Caps shift... this ain't texting. The standards for English language usage and punctuation was very well established before we were blessed with you.
  19. Might spook the ducks and mature adults as well. Have you considered a Vinci tatoo?
  20. Nope: You get C, IC, M, IM, & F. Best for my needs is the Briley ported-extended Light Modified. It's between IC and M on the constriction scale.
  21. Tucker/TMAC/leftie: You got to live in Texas to get away with ANY of that stuff!!!
  22. Well, gee? Your post has been there a while and neither one of the new Vinci owners has responded!
  23. Amen on the Monty... I really am enjoying my new (since November) Montefeltro Silver in 20 gauge. It's light in the field (5.5 lbs) and you can carry it all day, it's beautiful to look at, and it performs just great! I do mostly quail, pheasant, and dove with it. I put a ported extended Briley choke on it and I really like it. The Monty comes with the shims to need to make it fit you bod. I needed to drop and stock to get a good fit but it was easy to do with the supplied shims and instructions. I would give it serious consideration.
  24. Go to the BenelliUSA website and click on Montefeltro, then click on "configurations," then scroll to the very bottom of the listings and there it is. Most folks probably won't stock this model but it can be ordered for you. Able Ammo took care of me and did a good job on getting my Montefeltro Silver in and it was quick. They told me it would take two weeks, but it came in in one week. Check them out: AbleAmmo.com.
  25. Well, the pigeons and rats sure think so! You "tacticalled" them right out of business! (Bet you used "sissy-loads" though... don't ever admit to it, macho-dude.)
