  1. OK Skeeter...You win! The ATG price doesn't include shipping. There does seem to be a lot of negative feedback about Ammoman around though. later, H:):)kster
  2. ATG has 250 rds here for $10 cheaper. http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/product_info.php/pName/250rds-12-ga-federal-le-tactical-flitecontrol-8-pell-oo-buck/cName/12-gauge-buckshot I've heard a lot of people have had problems with the way Ammoman does business. I've been using ATG for all my ammo purchases lately. Fast shipping and zero problems. H:)
  3. Yeah +1 on the choke thread lube. I use this stuff by BC http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=4967/Product/CHOKE_TUBE_LUBE Hookster
  4. Hey John, I'd lube it up first, especially the rails inside the receiver that the BCG rides on, the tail section of the BCG and the bolt head but not the face/locking lug area. later, Hookster
  5. LE 13200=low recoil load 13200 http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/product_info.php/pName/25rds-12-ga-federal-le-tactical-low-recoil-9-pell-oo-buck/cName/12-gauge-buckshot 13300 http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/product_info.php/pName/25rds-12-ga-federal-le-tactical-flitecontrol-8-pell-oo-buck/cName/12-gauge-buckshot same price for either at ATG
  6. That thing has to be way light already with about 65% of the original part removed
  7. Great job milling down the rails! It looks great! You could probably pick up some extra $ doing this mod for people around here Hookster
  8. What's the word Skeeter? I figured the 2nd half of "I Like Guns" video looks like a normal weekend around your house Hookster
  9. Hey All, I had a couple videos I thought you guys might like to start off the New Year One of the projects we do at my job on a former Army post is to run one or two controlled burns each year to facilitate the removal of unexploded ordnance from the former training ranges. This video was put together by Brim Aviation who handles the Ignition/suppression using video they shot at our last burn in November The next video was sent to me by a friend yesterday (Thanks L.A.C.!!!) and is self explanatory. I think you will all enjoy it! Later, Hookster
  10. YEA!!!!! Zombie Apocalypse party at Skeeter's house!!!!!
  11. Wow panabax! You didn't waste much time getting into the project. It looks good. Are you happy with it? What are you going to be mounting on there? Later, Hookster
  12. That's the Brugger and Thomet rail (Swiss made) here's a link: http://www.dsarms.com/Benelli-M4-Quad-Rail-Handguard---BT21353/productinfo/BT21353/ Later, Hookster
  13. Hey Panabax! I think the KZ does have a lot of potential for modification possibilities if you want to do some machine work or have it done. I was briefly considering a suggestion made by StrangerDanger to cut just above the side rails and just use the lower half of it as a grip with the Sidearmor rail on top. I probably would have tried it if the Surefire M80 was unavailable. I think it might have worked out well. If you also removed most of the bottom rail as you suggested, I think you'd end up with a very light set up without any major loss of strength/rigidity I know Zee just cut down his top rail section on his KZ so he could keep his Mesa shell carrier in place. Keep us posted on your project. I'm anxious to see what you come up with! Later, Hookster
  14. Hey Bob, Thats the Trijicon RM33 low mount. Here's a link http://www.falcontactical.net/trrmlowpiram.html If you can post a couple pics when you get things together it would be great! Later, Hookster
  15. Hey Bob, I've been seriously looking at the RMR for awhile too. I'd get the 4 MOA myself, same size dot as the Aimpoint T1 and more suited to switching it onto an AR if I wanted to. 8 MOA would probably be fine though for any shots at effective shotgun ranges. If you get one, could you post your thoughts on it? I was wondering what kind of cheek weld you get with it. I was looking at getting this mount for it: Thanks, Hookster
  16. I'm starting to run low on space too! 2009 was a personal best record year for me. I'll see what kind of record breaking I can do in 2010. Happy New Year All Hookster
  17. Hi RedLegs, Here's a 26" http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.asp?chrProductSKU=742550&CatID=10307&mySort=1 Later, Hookster
  18. The rail system I use is Sidearmor. Since the top rail is not one of the 13 parts that the ATF considers the M4 to be comprised of, it does nothing towards reducing your parts count to 10. I have it to mount light /switch/ optics to. I also have the Surefire M80 forend (which has rails on it) Since it's a US made part and forend is one of the 13 parts it reduces my count to 12. When I add the US made tube and follower, I am at 10 parts. The Magic Number! Later, Hookster
  19. As far as 922r, If you install a Benelli +2 extender. You're increasing the capacity without adding a US made part, So you would still need to add 3 US made parts. This will probably be possible in a few months when Mesa comes out with their Urbino stock. It's talked about in this thread (pics are in post #34) http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=722 But you should probably take a look at the US made full length titanium tubes from Kip at Carriercomp. They are better than any OEM tube http://www.shop.carriercomp.com/ Later, Hookster
  20. Here ya go Lil' Fella....... http://estore.proforceonline.com/store/catalog/catalog.aspx?pg=catalogList&cat=BN3
  21. As far as I know (I'm not a lawyer) You're fine with your M4 in it's current collapsable stock configuration. If you want to modify it to increase your mag capacity, You might want to consider putting a fixed stock on to help make 922r compliance easier. Here's my 922r compliant beast. Later, Hookster
  22. quick/easy to install and/or uninstall You'll just need some snap ring pliers
