That's strange Steven, I haven't heard of this but it sounds like you would need to replace the entire tube with a full length tube (as opposed to a screw on extension) if you want to increase capacity. Take Care, Hookster

Some folks have wrapped something around it like a shoelace to help pull it out. I've never had much problem with mine.

That one is made by Tactical Shotgunner. I haven't heard any reviews on it. If you get the Carriercomp you won't be sorry! Later, Hookster

Hi MW No, The standard non-PG stock and the PG stock are considered the same as far as 922r. The collapsable stock counts as two parts (stock and pistol grip) since they are separate Later, Hookster

Hi MW and welcome to the forum, Here's the basic answer: Yes it is legal if you have a standard PG stock (non-collapsable) provided you replace not only the mag tube with a US made full length tube but also the follower with a US made one like the Brownell's one here http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=44592/pid=20384/sku/Benelli_Follower__Alum__Red__12_3__Ga_ and replace the forend with a US made one (KZ or Surefire M80) In about two months Mesa will be coming out with a US made replacement stock called the Urbino which could be used as an alternative to one of the parts I listed above. There's a lot of info on this subject in this thread: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19539&highlight=922r Later, Hookster

It's probably cheaper to perform a helicopter rescue than defend L.A. County against all the PETA lawsuits if they shot the dog. H:)

Yeah, Look for the small square with two letters in it stamped in the receiver near the trigger guard. The date chart Tucker posted is in post #2 of this thread http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19454 2009 which is not listed is "CD" Later, Hookster

I wouldn't worry. Just enjoy your new M4! I've never heard of anyone damaging one by dry firing. If the Marines dry fire twice every time they clean and re-assemble their weapon I just don't see there being a problem.
-
Hi RML, No Worries! If you check out page 51 of the USMC M1014 (M4) manual, you'll see they dry fire the weapon two times after normal re-assembly as part of the standard function check. If you don't have the USMC manual here you go: http://www.farrarsodfarm.com/nelli/USMC_M1014.pdf I printed the whole thing and put it in a 3-ring binder for easy reference. Later, Hookster

I'm not sure that the Brownells one is the same one. On Kip's Carriercomp site he describes the Wolff spring as an exclusive spring made to their (Carriercomp's) specifications. They don't list a part #. I'd order it from Kip. Later, Hookster

Hi Shuter, The KZ hanguard portion is 1 piece You don't need to remove the screws holding the hanguard portion to the receiver to remove the handguard but if you wanted to remove it you would need to remove the screws that hold the hanguard to the rail. You don't need to remove it to remove and replace the barrel though. For 922r, If you don't have a collapsable stock, I'd get a one piece US made mag tube (Carriercomp!) http://www.shop.carriercomp.com/ + US follower (Brownells!) http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=44592/pid=20384/sku/Benelli_Follower__Alum__Red__12_3__Ga_ + US made forend (KZ or Surefire) I run the Surefire. Here's a pic One other option is to wait about two months for the Mesa Urbino PG replacement stock to come out. This would allow you to keep the OEM forend. I plan to get one and switch back to the OEM grips but I don't need the rails provided by the KZ or Surefire since I have everything mounted to my Sidearmor rails Later, Hookster

Note: Just so you know, It wont say 11707 anywhere on the gun but it's on the end of the Benelli box that it comes in. On the label with all the UPC codes. Hookster

I'll cop to using the occasional chopstick on pins

Great report SD! Nice to hear the good report after being hands-on with the Urbino. Any update on time frame for availability? I'm going to have to check out that LaRue 7.62 a little more. I had been thinking LMT or LWRC but I'll hold off till I can check out LaRue. I was hoping that SA would do the XDM in .45. Hopefully it will be free of the problems sometimes seen with the XD in .45 although they still don't even have a CA legal XDM in 9mm or .40 Later, Hookster

Hey MT, I've never heard of a price that low for a new M4 but keep us posted. At that price order a truckload and sell them on Gunbroker for double! Hookster

Can't wait to see some pics Skeeter! I suspect I'll be going back to the factory grips after the Mesa Urbino comes out. Hookster

Shoot a few extra rounds for me Skeeter!! HOOKSTA' -
He was referring to a full length titanium mag tube from Carriercomp. http://www.shop.carriercomp.com/main.sc;jsessionid=D41D28F15289C650DFEFD02F12CF0597.qscstrfrnt01 just be aware of 922r if you want to make make this modification! Especially since you have a collapsable stock. Hookster

Looks Good Barometric! Yes, Kip will be coming out with a rail and bolt handle. Hopefully soon. Take Care, Hookster

No, there are not any AR style offerings. Just the Benelli collapsable M4 stock for the moment. Mesa will be coming out with a collapsable style in the future but it looks closest in style to the Benelli. Later, Hookster
