  2. You are looking at things that pertain to the federal assault weapon laws which expired in 2004 Check here: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/saws-and-lcafds.html And check out #2 Later, Hookster
  3. The quote section above is the correct interpretation. The collapsable stock would be considered two seperate parts. But as long as you don't increase capacity, your fine Hookster
  4. Hey Barometric, You don't need to worry about 922r unless you are increasing the magazine capacity of the weapon. Did you mean that it has a collapsable stock or just a solid pistol grip stock with a recoil tube that can accept a collapsable stock. There is a difference in the number of parts that need to be replaced if you wanted to have a collapsable stock AND increase mag capacity. Actually I don't think there are currently enough US made parts to make that combination happen. Here's a thread that covers this subject fairly well http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19539&highlight=922r If you have a standard (non collapsable) stock and wish to increase mag capacity. You can add 1 a US made mag tube (like a Carriercomp) 2 a US made mag follower (like a Brownells) 3 a US made forearm (KZ or Surefire) and you will be in compliance Later, Hookster
  5. Hi SKYKING, Did you see my previous post (post #10) in this thread? The Sidearmor rail is the one I believe you are refering too. That's the one I currently use. Take a look at post #10 and see if I'm answering your question. If you are talking about the KZ let me know and I'll try to answer your questions about it. Here's the source for the KZ if that's the one you want: http://www.botachtactical.com/kzm4.html But the KZ and the Surefire you ordered could not be used together at the same time Take Care, Hookster
  6. That's the Sidearmor rail system http://www.sidearmor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=46&zenid=k9l930vjib8qh0u78t5rpm7i46 Looks like they're on sale right now too! There's a lot of info about the system in old threads. Just put in Sidearmor as a site search Here's a few: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19212&highlight=Sidearmor http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19550&highlight=Sidearmor http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19419&highlight=Sidearmor Later, Hookster
  7. Hey Steve, You're preachin' to the choir with this one. I'm really looking forward to the Mesa Urbino stock both for the shortened LOP and the fact I can go back to my stock grips. I also want to check out the cheek riser option. That might be the nudge I need to get an optic. BTW the pics look great! Later, Hookster
  8. Hey SKYKING, Assuming that you do not have a collapsable stock on your M4 you'll want to get a US made forend as your 3rd part. The current choices are the KZ and the Surefire M80. As mentioned above, if you want to wait for a few months, you could use the upcoming Mesa Urbino stock as your 3rd part. pic of new Mesa stock is in post # 34 of this thread http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=722&p=2 Here's some stuff I posted previously about both the Surefire and the KZ: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19942&highlight=surefire+m80 http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19590&highlight=surefire+m80 The pics for the KZ review start on page 3 of the thread Merry Christmas! 9. Here ya go SKYKING: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=20384/Product/SHOTGUN_FOLLOWERS I went with the 3" red aluminum, Works great! http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=44592/pid=20384/sku/Benelli_Follower__Alum__Red__12_3__Ga_ Later, Hookster
  10. The Aimpoint in the picture is the ML 3 with an Aimpoint low ring. I'm actually just using my Meprolight tritium iron sights at the moment. I just stuck the Aimpoint on there for fun when I got it for my SOCOM and took a couple pics. I didn't fire it with it on there or anything but it actually seemed pretty nice. If I do end up an optic on the M4 though, it'll probably be an Aimpoint T-1, a Trijicon RMR or a Trijicon red dot. http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=666&back_row=0&categoryID=13 http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=577&back_row=1&categoryID=13 Later, Hookster
  11. Hi Slider, The weight is not bad with the KZ. a little more than the stock plastic grips of course but I was suprised by how light it is while still being very solid (all those vent holes help out). I haven't fired my M4 with the KZ in place. I just bought it to explore 922r options and I prefer the Surefire since it allows me to keep my Sidearmor rail in place. Zee or MeanGreen might have a range report for you though. Later, Hookster
  12. Hi Alfred, I have both as well EO Tech on an AR and Aimpoint on a SOCOM. Both great but I don't plan on doing any drop tests There's lots of people that swear on one over the other on both sides. I find the EO Tech reticle a little more "bloomy" depending on the brightness setting when I use it without a magnifier. With the magnifier the reticle looks great. Here's a pic of Benelli M4 with the Aimpoint on it Later, Hookster
  13. Congrats on the new baby Slider The KZ quad rail forend will also take care of your 3rd us made part needs
  14. Try this http://www.spectergear.com/shotgun_bsh.htm with this http://www.spectergear.com/benelli_cqb_sling.htm
  15. For the time being the only collapsable stock available is the OEM Benelli one. I like the solid PG style myself. Mesa is coming out soon with a Solid PG stock soon with a shorter length of pull than the Benelli one. Benelli inertia system guns have problems cycling light loads but the M4s ARGO system does not. It'll eat whatever you feed it Hookster
  16. Hi Alfred, I'm answering your question from the Single Action/Cowboy section here: You can slip an extra round through the ejection port and place it on top of the carrier. Your capacity with 2 3/4" shells would be 7+1+1 total=9rds Your capacity with 3" shells would be 6+1+1 total =8rds CarrierComp makes the best full length tube http://www.shop.carriercomp.com/ and as an added bonus, it comes with the best mag tube spring! You can get any choke you want CYL to FULL Later, Hookster
  17. You might want to contact Benelli Customer Service. They might have it available as a PDF file they could e-mail to you. Hookster
  18. Ah yes.... memories of yesteryear..sounds like my Colt AR I bought back in 1976 ($279 back then!). I had to get the offset pin when I put a forward assist upper on it. If I had my choice I'd want a LMT lower to put it on just so everything matched but I have OCD about my guns. Later, Hookster
  19. No prob, post some pics when you get it all together Later, Hookster
  20. Now that you know are you going to get a full length tube?
  21. Yeah, An "H2" buffer should come with the LMT upper when you buy it for use with a carbine stock. I'd check with LMT and check what they recommend with a full length stock and buffer tube. They are pretty good about answering questions Hookster
