  1. Hi Reblyell, It's a Bushmaster lower. I'm in CA and I had two Bushmasters registered as "assault weapons" before the cut-off in 2000. If I wanted to use any other lower I'd have to get one with a disabled mag release (no thanks!) The upper to lower fit is very tight with no play (much tighter than the fit of the original Bushmaster upper it came with) the rear take down pin is slightly tight to get out but no problem. Like SD said "no accu-wedge needed! I sure you'll be happy if you get the LMT. Also, recently installed a Geiselle SSA trigger that I'm very happy with Later, Hookster
  2. Hi Shugz, I didn't use a vice, just sat on a low stool and held between knees while twisting. It took awile for mine to release (about 10-12 minutes of heating before I got any movement) and then I had to continue to heat for a while then turn a little, heat for a while turn a little until it was a good part of the way out and I got the rest to unscrew in one shot. Make sure you favor the receiver when you apply the heat instead of the tube. The receiver will hold the heat better. I'm sure if you just keep at the heat you'll get it. Don't be afraid you're going to hurt something, it can take the heat, Good Luck and report back, Hookster
  3. According to the response letter I received from the ATF, Muzzle device is not one of the 13 parts that they condider the M4 to be comprised of so a US made choke would not count as a part that would help reduce your part count to 10. Refer to this thread for more detailed info on this subject: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19539&highlight=atf+response+922r Later, Hookster
  4. I'm grew up in the L.A. area myself and was commuting down that way a lot a couple years ago. My GF is a veterinarian and had an internship in emergency medicine for a year down there in Torrance. Later, Hookster
  5. Hey Willygee, Yeah it's a Surefire M80 forend. It's one of my US made parts for 922r compliance. The light is a Streamlight TLR-1. No laser. I'm not a big laser fan, I find them distracting but I do have Meprolight tritium sights on there for low light use. Later, Hookster
  6. Hey SD, What part of the Peoples Republic will you be in?
  7. Soon I hope! I could use a little extra to offset the cost of all the Hornady TAP 5.56 75 gr ammo I just bought! Hookster
  8. That's going to look sharp Unobtanium!! Looking forward to some pics when it's all done Hookster
  9. Welcome to the forum Ralph! I don't know the particulars of OEM Benelli Super Nova mounts but you could get a Sidearmor Super Nova rail and mount whatever you want http://www.sidearmor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=62&zenid=co7leg8nmp5ecq6thd4fgqgu92 Later, Hookster
  10. Hi Rick, If all goes well, the Urbino should be out soon. It's a replacement pistol grip stock with a shorter length of pull. Here's a thread about it with some pictures from the Mesa forum http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=722&p=1 Later, Hookster
  11. I'm sorry Asdf but I don't have an answer for you on that one. I'm more of an M1/M4 guy, but I'm sure someone here can give you a definitive answer. Later, Hookster
  12. Hi Asdf, Welcome to the forum! Numrich has a selection of SBE barrels here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/products_new.asp?CatID=10326 Later, Hookster
  13. Hi John, StrangerDanger, Duggan (if I recall correctly) and I are running the LMT (Lewis Machine and Tool) monolithic rail piston upper http://www.lewismachine.net/product.php?p=189&cid=6&session=424c107f291b53553b3ac6102d5d2dc8 I hear a lot of good things about LWRC as well http://www.lwrci.com/c-11-complete-uppers.aspx Later, Hookster
  14. Hey SD! Is there a lot of noticable difference between using a MGI buffer vs the H2 buffer? Thanks, Hookster
  15. Hi Steve, The SOPMOD does, the CAA stock in post #2 of this thread does and the UBR has a "storage module" which I assume is fine for batteries, but I'm not positive. I've handled the UBR at a gunshow but I didn't open the compartment. Later, Hookster
  16. Hey John, Yeah....definitely cleaner without all that gas blowing back into the receiver. I don't really notice any difference in recoil. I'll be taking it to the range again on Friday! I haven't had a chance yet to test my new Geiselle SSA trigger and I want to try out that Hornady TAP ammo. Later, Hookster
  17. You might want to shoot it stock first and get a feel for how it handles before you pile on the goodies. Then you can gauge a little better how the add-ons affect the handling. Happy Blastin' Hookster
  18. You won't need a heat gun for a 2 shot extension. It'll just screw on and replace the limiter. The heat gun is to remove the factory tube where it screws into the receiver in order to replace it with a full length mag tube. Later, Hookster
  19. Here's the backplate and switch/mounting kit links http://www.botachtactical.com/sttlrba.html http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&source=hp&q=streamlight+pressure+switch&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=17683883193663934887&ei=mw8nS8j2HIiesgOaw6m9DA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CB0Q8wIwBA#ps-sellers You might want to try mounting the switch to the left Sidearmor rail first before you try the much more complicated operation of placing it in the pistol grip area. The left side mounting is very comfortable to use. It's out of the way when you don't need it but it's right there and comfortable to use when you need it Later, Hookster
  20. Did you ask him when the bolt handles will be ready?
  21. The switch activates the light only when you hold it down. If you want the light on continuously without holding the switch, you just flip the switch on the backplate. I use ERGOs and I also use a section of their wire looms on the switch side. Here are links to those: http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail.cfm?ID=4378-3PK&storeid=1&image=lowprocvr1109.gif&CFID=37904886&CFTOKEN=90156085 http://www.ergogrips.net/item-detail.cfm?ID=4380&storeid=1&image=loproloom.gif&CFID=37904886&CFTOKEN=90156085 I really like the Streamlight. One advantage it has over the Surefire is that the switch plug has a 90 degree plug so there's a minimum of wire hanging out to snag on anything. The Surefire has a straight plug so you end up with a loop of wire behind the light. Later, Hookster
  22. Hey Thunder, It's a Streamlight TLR-1 135 lumen with the remote switch backplate. I'm not sure what you mean about taps. Do you mean the ladder rail covers? Here are a couple more pics of the light Later, Hookster
