  1. The Streamlight pressure switch rail mounting kit secures the switch very securely. Later, Hookster
  2. Congrats on your new aquisition ThunderOne. Let us know what you think once you get it together and take it out blastin'. Kip at CarrierComp should be coming out with a good titanium bolt handle option fairly soon. You'll also want to check out his full length titanium mag tubes. Later, Hookster
  3. Hi Thunder and welcome to the forum! No the Sidearmor rail doesn't interfere with the ghost ring sights. I'm currently running no optics just Meprolight irons on my Sidarmor set up if you put Sidearmor in as a site search you'll find a lot more info here about it. Later, Hookster

    M4 choke?

There should be some small notches on the front edge of the choke (between the notches for the wrench) 4 notches=I.C. 3 notches=MOD 2 notches=IMP. MOD 1 notch =Full later, Hookster
  5. The Sidearmor rail in the pic is a long side rail section so the hole pattern is different. Sidearmor's top rail "nubs" are identical in dimension to the side rail nubs in the picture. Later, Hookster
  6. I'd ask StrangerDanger the extent of damage, if any, that he has seen with his Sidearmor/Larue T-1 setup. Hookster
  7. I've had no problems with the Sreamlight TLR-1 light mounted on my Sidearmor. If the Sidearmor rail was a spec rail on top it would block your sight picture for the iron sights. I suspect that the side rail sections being not spec is a weight saving measure. The problem that was described in the past of a Larue mount coming off was mounted on a Benelli OEM rail not a Sidarmor which is beefier. (left to right) KZ, Sidearmor, Benelli here's a pic of the Streamlight mounted. One advantage over the Surefire is that if you are using a pressure switch the Streamlights 90 degree plug keeps extra wire hanging out anywhere to an absolute minimum. The Surefire has a straight plug so you'll always have some loop of wire somewhere that can snag on stuff to deal with. Later, Hookster
  8. Lookin' good SD, I was doing some agonizing over LMT SOPMOD vs MagPul UBR. I'm very happy with the feel of the LMT but I might end up with a UBR on my other AR. Hookster
  9. Looks great sir! Congrats Hookster
  10. As the adage says: society is just a few missed meals away from breakdown
  11. Hey Zee, I just checked out your pics with the new KZ rail. It's looking good! It looks like you kept the Mesa rail/shell carrier and cut the KZ rail section down to cover the top of the forend section. Is that what's going on? Later, Hookster
  12. You have a point! I forgot to separate the firearm condition form of OCD (worries about scratches/blemishes etc) from the firearm operation/function form of OCD (worries about feeding/ejecting/cycling etc) Firearm OCD is indeed a two headed beast! Hookster BTW I agree. At least 500 rds fired without incident to trust a firearm
  13. Good to know! I didn't measure mine when I installed the new tube but it was a good deal longer than the OEM. I'll probably order a spare from Kip just to have around. So.......replacing your follower?.... 2nd thoughts about 922r?
  14. The OCD fix for that one is easy!! one M4 to shoot a second one to handle but never shoot or perhaps shoot one time for a function check after placing protective tape around the ejection port and a third M4 which will remain unassembled in the box to provide peace of mind in case anything happens to #2 (very small scratch etc) OCD problem solved
  15. obsessive compulsive disorder Many of us suffer this in relation to our firearms
  16. I may be wrong, but I believe that the height of the lowest T-1 mount that KAC is making is for HK 416 height. You might want to go with something lower. Later, Hookster
  17. some weird glitch mine double posted too Hookster
  18. Hey Freeborn, Welcome to the forum! It depends what you want out of the gun, if you envision wanting to hang many accessories on it , get the M4 since the inertia system doesn't like extra weight on it, I have both and they're both excellent guns but I have a feeling that if you get the M1 you're going to be wanting the M4 too in the long run. My vote:M4 Here's my pair: Later, Hookster
  19. I think it's working! I do feel less gay
  20. I admire your tenacity sir! If you do get a manage to get a few, I'd take one for cost +10, Thanks, Hookster
