  1. Do a search on feebay for 'Benelli M4' you'll find one there for $170 shipped, the lowest price I've seen for a new one.
  2. How do ya do that to a barrel with a chrome bore??
  3. Jayco was kind enough to restore my account after reading this thread. Thanks a bunch Jayco!
  4. you can find one on feebay for $170 shipped.
  5. IMO there's not a thing wrong with the FN SLP, I consider it an equivalent to the Benelli M4 at the very least. If I did 4473s I could've had two hi-cap (8+1+1) FN SLPs for what I have in one hi-cap (7+1+1), 922r compliant Benelli M4 with a picatanny rail that doesn't eat mounts.
  6. armslist.com or maybe someplace like arfdotcom, or if you're wanting the max premium, gunbroker.com
  7. I didn't say with a telescoping stock or NP3 coating, I said TWO hi-cap semi-auto TACTICAL shotguns with suitable rails which are not inferior and requiring replacement (and with PG stock, 3 check riser pieces, and 3 different LOP butt pads). The FN SLP is equivalent to the M4 Benelli, and if I did 4473s I would have gotten two for the amount I have in ONE M4 (and not be the least be concerned with 922r compliance). Plus the 22" FN SLP is an EIGHT round magazine, not seven.
  8. If the manufacturer does it's kosher, but if a private party does the exact same thing it's not kosher?
  9. If you're wanting to get the max premium on your OEM tube you should definitely list it on gunbroker. Folks on dedicated gun model forums which are largely unmoderated such as this one are always going to point out more economical options to inordinately high priced items. For that reason the 'greater fool' theory won't work here, and on strictly moderated dedicated gun forums you'd be unlikely to get one iota of interest on such an item.
  10. Spoke with Todd this afternoon and he advised me that he'd ship out my fire control pkg on the 23rd when he gets back from the Shot Show. From what he described it all sounds great, he said with the FFT fire control the M4 trigger pull is reduced ~1.5# compared to stock. Looking forward to having compliance with my OEM handguards.
  11. I had the same issue on the M4 I bought lightly used. One of my local gun shops/authorized Benelli dealer ordered those parts in for me. Be advised of sticker shock.
  12. Here are the disadvantages to the Saiga 12 from my perspective: -A Saiga 12 magazine hangs off the bottom, in the way, a HUGE magazine if you want capacity matching other hi-cap shotguns - this severely interferes with fire and maneuver operation under various circumstances one is subject to finding one's self in; I don't care what people imagining themselves playing cowboys and Indians envision themselves doing, such a large protuberance does NOT lend itself to serious tactical use - IT'S A HINDRANCE. -BCG does not lock open on last shot fired on a Saiga, adding precious seconds to reload time in a *real world* tactical scenario; since BCG locks open upon last shot fired with most (if not all other) semi-auto shotguns in the middle of a storm one can still *immediately* drop a round in the ejection port and be back to a ready to fire condition *immediately* - can't do this with a Saiga. -A tube magazine (including on pump shotguns) can be reloaded on the fly, keeping the mag topped off or close to topped off while doing the shoot and scoot; with a Saiga one is very limited in their tactical approach because everything revolves around "How many rounds do I have left in this magazine, and where do I need to be to make the mag change?". Being caught exposed while doing a mag change could be fatal. -If one wants to change up type of ammo on the fly, that's easy to do with a Benelli, without even having to fire the round presently chambered - no way can one change ammo type on the fly with a Saiga, the magazine must be replaced. -How many Saiga magazines can you carry for a total of how many rounds?? A 12 ga. bandoleer holds 50-55 rounds, so conceivably one could easily dozens (fifty to hundreds) of rounds of 12 ammo *of various types*; think of it this way: two bandoleers = 100 rounds, to get to 100 extra rounds for a Saiga 12 one would need to have five REALLY huge 20 round drums, ten huge 10 round magazines, or some combination thereof - how and where would one carry all those magazines?? IMO, Saiga 12s (once having had the appropriate mods to remedy reliability issues) are perfect for ambushes and fixed location defenses with the 20 round drum when utilized as part of a fire team, but as a serious standalone tactical weapon they suck for the reasons listed above.
  13. How many rounds had you fired total thru your M4 before you snapped a piston?
  14. Of course that would be ideal, but so far no one willing to manufacture such a device has come forth with one. I'd be willing to pay a little more (even 2-3 times as much for the right piece) for one that worked right and was robust. Due to very low demand (equaling low sales being not enough to cover development costs as it would necessarily be strictly a M4 application) I just don't see that happening (unless we can talk the nice people at FFT into doing something like that for us ). Under what circumstances do yo see yourself needing to do a quick takedown of your M4? Why couldn't you carry an allen wrench (for the KZ rail) in your kit for those times?
  15. Have you considered the KZ tri-rail which has five lugs instead of four?
  16. Lots of anosognosics* on this thread. lol Merry Christmas to all, including all you anosognosics! *"There's something wrong but you'll never know what it is."[h=1][/h]
  17. The 'collectible' aspect of this operates largely on the 'greater fool' concept. As for your tube extension, the TacStar extension does the exact same thing, only adds one round. You may want to try snipping off coils of your magazine spring to see if that helps. Of course the ultimate solution, the only one you can count on, is to get the appropriate FL mag tube and spring from DMW, Socomguy, or Kip.
  18. lulz...there are some seriously deluded people in the world. The sort of failures seen in the video in the OP just are not seen in the FAL, AK, SKS, or M-14 (M-1A) under circumstances which one would expect where a weapon's maintenance is neglected for days/weeks at a time (which one can fully expect in a SHTF/emergency scenario) - and not to mention the problems associated with using a mouse caliber in the first place. hahahahaha - this said about a rifle that sh*ts where it eats...some people will make up ANYTHING to justify their inexcusable failure to exercise intelligence or sound judgment
  19. I was wondering where his helmet was, but I do know that not all troops wear them. I did see him hit the FA a number of times, but not consistently. I don't think anyone was behind the camera, it was merely fixed on him apparently.
  20. ...POS. (hint: it sh*ts where it eats) Good thing he had comrades around him to keep the bad guys away, otherwise he would have been toast for sure. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=95d_1323928078
  21. Beretta website shows "4+1" under the specifications tab - http://www.berettausa.com/products/tx4-storm-12-ga/ The FN SLP is still a much better value, unless you're willing to spend nearly twice as much to get a M4 hi-cap and 922® compliant.
  22. A number of distributors are offering the FN SLP in the 8 round magazine version for under $1,000, and it's the best value out there in a quality hi-cap gas shotty.
  23. From the video: "(Extended) Magazine tubes are only available for military and law enforcement use."
