  1. I got that ridiculous number for that ridiculous shotgun from this ridiculous website - http://www.berettausa.com/products/tx4-storm-12-ga/
  2. Limited to a four round magazine and MSRP at $1,450?? Screw that.
  3. QFT +1 Gungrabbers and their ilk are no more than useful idiots who will be lined up against a wall or alongside a mass grave and executed via a firing squad by their Communist masters when they've outlived their usefulness (per KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov - if you seek a genuine education into the mindset of the Communists, then there are several Yuri Bezmenov interview videos to be seen on youtube). And BTW 'wayne123', GFY with a live grenade. ETA: I avoid gungrabbing Commies 'cause they're a source of tyranny, terror, and hatred.
  4. Then it would appear to me that there's nothing standing in the way of just anyone acquiring the c-stocks and importing them. With all of the 'made in USA' parts now available for the M4, 922® compliance isn't that difficult to achieve, must like what folks have done with AKs and FALs.
  5. When they throw a man (a veteran no less) into prison for a *known* defective Olympic Arms AR which was slam-firing when someone else was shooting it and the judge railroaded him, what/who do you trust??? Note that in the Olofson case the ATF asserted that a double barrel shotgun which fired both barrels "with one trigger pull" qualifies as a 'machinegun'. How many things wrong with this case can you find? http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-375570.html
  6. The Super 90 series of Benelli shotguns are inertia operated (i.e. they operate strictly off of recoil) with the sole exception of the M4 which is a gas gun. M4 parts will NOT fit on any other Super 90 shotguns. The reliability of inertia operated semi-auto shotguns can be affected by adding extra weight to them, such as extra rounds of ammo, flashlights, etc. The M4 with a full length mag tube is a 7+1+1 capacity (one round is 'ghost loaded' on the elevator). If money is big consideration for you, then I would suggest you take a look at the gas operated FN SLP with the 22" barrel. It is made in the USA and therefore is already 922® compliant with an 8 round magazine. The SLP will also 'ghost load' a round on the elevator giving a capacity of 8+1+1. You can find a 22" SLP in the $900 range. It's true you cannot make the FN SLP full blown tacticool complete with pistol grip like the M4, however it's a fine semi-auto tactical shotgun nonetheless. And fwiw, don't fall for the misguided thinking that the Saiga with the detachable magazine is in any way superior to a tube magazine shotgun for tactical purposes. You cannot change up rounds or top off the magazine on the fly with a detachable magazine like you can with a tube magazine. No military or police outfit in the world uses tactical shotguns with detachable magazines with the possible one exception of the Russians since the Saiga is homegrown.
  7. Forget about putting Super 90 M4 parts on a 121M1 as they are totally incompatible. It is possible to put plastic furniture on a 121M1, but I don't advise it. Choate Machine and Tool has had available* a plastic pistol grip stock for the 121 and you can use the foreend from a Super 90 M1 (you will have to use a Dremel tool to do some minor fitting where the foreend meets the receiver). The main issue is that either Choate plastic stock available (field or PG) for the 121 is substantially heavier than the original wood stock and can affect reliability by adding to the mass of the inertia operated 121/SL80 series shotguns. The other issue is that there are no longer any spare parts available for the 121 (although it's a relatively robust and simple design) therefore if and when something breaks you'll have a wallhanger. As much as I loved my 121M1 I sold about a year ago because of the lack of any spare parts for it. *Choate advised me that their stocks are made in batches, and they are unlikely to mold anymore after their inventory for the Benelli 121 at that time is exhausted.
  8. Under survival conditions one will not have time or opportunity to give an AR the attention it demands.
  9. Wrong. Bent op rods are the result of fast burning powders, particularly from reloads. Op rods don't get bent using mil-spec ammo. Didn't mean to rain on you parade Uno. Enjoy your tacticool toy. And FWIW, the facts I rely on are historical facts, facts that cannot be changed. The historical fact of the matter is that in the jungles of Honduras the M-16s were consistently unreliable while the FALs, AKs, and M-14s were consistently reliable under the most extreme conditions of abuse and neglect (no cleaning or maintenance/lubing) with the lazy and undisciplined Contras. "If I had to go to...an unknown planet, and I was allowed to take one firearm, it would be an AK-47. When western civilization melts down, I want an AK." --Richard Venola, Editor, Combat Arms [video=youtube;bHao3TN0C-8]
  10. If you want to delude yourself that is certainly your prerogative. Knock yourself out. lol As for myself I put reliability and effectiveness under ALL circumstances (meaning whatever ammo is available/handy immediately and in desperate/emergency situations where a good cleaning and maintenance may go neglected for weeks, and under such circumstances the FAL and the AK are head and shoulders far above everything else with respect to semi-auto MBRs - literally in a class by themselves*) above 'precision', fun**, ergonomics, and tacticool. *that said, I switched from a FAL platform to a M1A platform in favor of ergonomics and consistent precision **no doubt about it, the AR platform is fun
  11. Yeah, if you 'tweak' the mouse caliber with specialty ammo you can get it to perform at close ranges, HOWEVER RKIs know better and stick with 7.62 for serious social work that can potentially stretch into some distance. Varmint rounds are for dreamers and armchair warriors who've never been on the two way range. (Flame away) Additionally, the direct gas impingement 'Mattel' platform has established itself as one of the most unreliable 'military' rifles in the history of modern warfare. (I got to know the fellow who was hired by a certain 'company' in Virginia to be the armorer for the extremely lazy and undisciplined Contras - the ULTIMATE jungle torture test of AKs, FALs, G3s, M-16s, and M-14s side by side in the real world - so I was fortunate enough to get clued in [and FWIW under those extreme conditions the CETME/G3 faired even worse than the M-16s, which is hard to grasp for some].) "Son, when you really need it, there's no such thing as 'too much gun'." --Audie Murphy to a youngster in a gun shop when the 12 y.o. exclaimed "That's too much gun!" when checking out a Model 29 in the display case
  12. I take your failure to respond to my inquiry is in fact a "Yes, I got rid of my totally awesome SD shotty and got a tacticool toy for punching paper and shooting poodles."
  13. So did you or did you not ditch the Benelli for a poodle-shooter???
  14. Please don't tell us you shed the Benelli for a poodle-shooter.
  15. And for what it's worth I've done a deal with Unobtanium and he's a straight shooter. Deal with him in complete confidence. His high capacity 922r compliant M4 is still available, which is a heck of a deal considering the price he's offering includes shipping to your FFL.
  16. Certainly not one with a titanium full length magazine tube and that is 922r compliant - which is what Uno was offering for sale. Those items cost an additional $250.

    My M4

On a side note regarding a high capacity mag shotgun loaded down with a sidesaddle or other shell holders on the gun, a fellow I know who was Force Recon in the 'nam with behind the lines experience (bona fide, and at the time he was issued an AKS by the Marines, however later he and his buddies 'stole' M14s from the Army) is amused at the notion of shotguns with magazines of greater than five rounds capacity. He says something along the lines of "If you can't solve your problem with 5-6 rounds, then you brought the wrong gun to the fight." Personally I like high cap mags on shotguns, however I draw the line at limiting the rounds the shotgun carries to those in the mag. If you need more than what the mag is holding, then I would suggest a bandoleer or four - 'cause if you need more than what the magazine holds you need LOTS more, imo.

    My M4

2.2 lbs. is a LOT of extra weight on a long arm intended for fast handling. All that extra weight means one has much more inertia to overcome when bringing it to bear, and in the middle of a s**t blizzard nanoseconds can determine whether one is 'quick' or 'dead'. Those who build performance cars seek to decrease their unsprung weight for very good reason.
  19. Get two more 'Made in USA' parts (so long as your mag tube is marked 'USA') and you're golden - e.g. magazine follower, replacement hammer from Carrier Comp, FFT handguards or other 'Made in USA' handguards. I don't see any advantage to having the field stock other than one less 'USA' part needed since the PG will be eliminated.
  20. Welcome to the forum mvera339. It's highly unlikely that a vendor is going to have a Benelli mag tube extension in stock. Last time I checked, the Benelli mag tube extensions were selling for >$180 on gunbroker.com, which is about what you can buy an American made titanium full length mag tube for. Dave's Metal Works has FL steel tubes for a third of that. Additionally, adding an extension takes your shotgun out of 922® compliance (if that is a concern for you) and to bring it back into compliance you would have to add at least three 'made in the USA' parts to your shotgun such as handguards, magazine follower, hammer, or an Urbino buttstock. A 'made in the USA' magazine qualifies as one part on the 922® parts count, so if extra capacity is what you're wanting then it would be best to simply put a 'made in the USA' full length mag tube on it rather than trying to keep your shotgun 'all Benell'.
  21. It appears you have an H&K import. Have you tried contacting H&K to reference the importation date?
  22. 99gst_racer, 99gst_racer you have no complaint it is what it is and it ain't what it ain't so listen up buster and listen up good stop wishin' for bad luck and knockin' on wood signed Dear Abby
  23. If you don't mind me asking, where are the M4 C stocks available for $275 NIB? I want in on that deal.
  24. There's a two letter date code on the barrel. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/15713-Date-Serial-Number-Lookup-for-Benelli-Shotguns
