  1. It was probably clogged with your ego.
  2. It would actually be "Everyone should buy an M2000!" I don't stand behind them, but I am not an owner of one either, so I don't throw opinions around. You worked in and around gun shops for over 10 years?...What as the plumber?
  3. He obviously favors the two guns he submitted, now instead of bashing, give insight on the guns this person would like to buy. List the Pros and Cons from experience. The M2000 might have not been the best gun you ever bought, but it is still a gun with a pretty good reputation (Or at least that is what the people who own it say). And as far as it dying only on hunts and crucial moments, That is such crap...
  4. Looks like you guys had a Great Time! Thanks for sharing!
  5. I guess I misunderstood your original post. If money is not the issue and you want the best of the best, I would definitely go with this: http://www.benelliusa.com/performance_shop/benelli_performance_shop_super_black_eagle_II_turkey_gun.php You can't go wrong, it is the top of the line Turkey Gun with everything you could ever want in a Turkey Gun and much more! If I was in your shoes I would have contacted my closest dealers already to get my hands on one of these bad boys, just watch out because you will be holding onto one of the hottest guns out there and people will take note. Be the man and get this AWESOME SBE II Performance Shop Turkey Gun!
  6. mudhen is a bully and will talk a dog off a meat truck. He is usually not helpful and just plain cynical of others. Don't you love how he just leaves you with something to think about like he just taught you something. Look he is even crapping on another guy from another thread while he trashes on this guy's choices in this thread (Hes a multi-trasher ). Unbelievable!
  7. The only place I can shoot hens is at the local gun club where we keep our German Short Haired Pointer from getting rusty...Good Question....by the way at $30 a Pheasant (At our local club) we always get the cocks but hens are an option and occasionally our dog points one that someone missed in the field, which we flush and shoot of course.
  8. You already had the SBE II...? Next time you should mention that..This Thread got really heated and you come back, crap on those who were involved who were also the people who gave you constructive criticism with pros and cons, and you had the SBE II the whole time!! I agree with you why go with the 887 when you can go with a Benelli, but seriously that gun rocks. My brother has one and I have put a few hundred rounds through it and it is a sweet gun! My only complaint was that there is no cheek pad and I shot a 3.5" steel shot goose load through it and cheeked my shot like I do when I shoot and it felt like someone punched me in the face. Glad that you are going to get or go with the SuperNova...at this point I don't know if you already own it or not..? Either way good luck with it. Happy Hunting!
  9. You can always tell those guys in NE that if they want premium hunting land that is highly managed with millions of yards of premium gravel our land is on the market for slightly over 10 million. That would allow the two of them to hunt year round and make a few million if they chose to sell the gravel. All legal papers and property details are available for serious inquires only!
  10. hahaha...It's a quote from "The Big Lebowski". Thought you would find some humor in it considering your signature quote.
  11. You also claim to spend $1500+ on one hunt..? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard...$1500 for a Turkey hunt...? That is not hunting that is foolishness.
  12. I Just know what I'm doing mudhen. You don't have to be in your 40s to have lots of experience...Do you have Turkeys on your land where you live in California or do you travel to hunt? Do you get to study their movements daily year round like I do? We have giant flocks (Multiple flocks of 50+ birds in some cases) on our Personal 600+ acre lot of land up here in Maine. The new law allows us to get 3 Toms a year. You may be a mudhen but I'm a hunter who manages Turkeys and many other Species on a large plot of land. Do you manage land? Or do you just try to trash on those who harvest animals based on flock/herd/pack for proper balance of species in relations to food, habitat, game ratios, and numbers? I think your a little out of your element Donny! If you plan on missing chances are your going to miss, do you do the same thing when shooting at a paper target? You need to know how to hunt properly, then you will know when to take a shot and when to let an animal walk. You will get it one day....It's not as much about bad shots as it is about making the right shots count.
  13. Ducks don't have lips . Maybe you should change your name to duck bills and spend those Bills on a Benelli Auto Just playing bro....Good Luck in your Decision!
  14. Maybe I am just a better shot than you...or maybe its because I know how my gun performs at the different ranges from extensive pattern tests. Lots of time shooting and time in the field has given me a good indicator of when not to take a shot as well as when to take a shot. I am no psychic, but if your going to play devil's advocate, call it intuition .

    Hello

You have a point with wind, but never sight in a gun free standing...You will never know if it is truly on or not. Use a gun rest/bench for your pattern tests and if you are using a red dot sight this is extremely crucial. Once you know your gun is on, you can then move to free standing, knee, prone, angled shots, and any other shots that you may see in the field. Pattern test for sure but make sure she is on BEFORE going out!!!!! Good Luck!
  17. Have you considered these? http://www.truglo.com/content/products/firearm/turkey/pro_series_magnum.asp They are designed for Turkey but would be a mean setup for slugs! Good Luck!
  18. If you want pretty go with the classic wood models. Heck go with a Legacy and you won't have to worry about the camo finish plus you get engravings...but you probably won't drag it through the woods hunting either. I personally like the camo and I am hard on my guns. They take a beating but take it. A little ding here or there on my SuperNova won't keep me up at night. Hope your gun gets fixed.

    Hello

Welcome to Benelli Forums. You will get all the help you need here. Be specific if you have any issues or questions and you will get the answers much quicker! Put in some range time this week and make sure shes on before taking her out and remember to do some sharp angle shots if you plan on hunting from a tree stand because I have noticed shotguns give an optical illusion and you will hit under the deer, which is odd because out of a tree stand you usually hit high on a deer. Just take a few sharp angle shots to make sure she hits where you want! Good Luck out there! Happy Hunting!
  20. HAHAHA That is GREAT! Way to Shave your Tom with a Wad!
  21. I hear you about the one shot. If it is not going to be a one shot deal, I pass. I highly recommend the SuperNova with a Carlson's .665 Turkey Choke (Go Non-Ported so you can use Federal FC Wad Ammo if you decide that is the ammo for you- I like options). I mounted mine with a B-Square saddle mount and a TruGlo red dot sight and after I chose the ammo I was going to use I adjusted the dot to be in the center of my pattern at 40 yards (After day 3 I decided to remove the red dot sight just because I switched to my ground blind and knew I could hit the birds at the distance they were coming in without any extras). I ended up going with Winchester Supreme High Velocity Turkey 3.5" 2 oz. Loads which are about 17-18 dollars a box for 10 rounds (Much cheaper than most turkey loads). Nailed my bird this fall at 40 yards. I always test my ranges after I have zeroed the scope (If you decide to go that route) and I do the same without a scope so I always know where the pattern will hit the bird no matter the yardage. Go with the SuperNova and you wont be let down. If this was a multi-purpose gun I would say the SBE II but for Turkeys the SuperNova is more than enough and its a Tank that you can drag through helllll and back without any worry, because hey its not a $1500 gun! Good Luck, You will enjoy both guns no matter which you choose. Happy Hunting!
  22. By the way ART how big was your Moose that you got in Canada this year? Any Photos? Send me a PM if you get a chance or post them on your User Page and let me know when they are up if you have some! Thanks in Advance!
  23. That sounds like a great combo you have for the pheasants, you must be having a Blast! That Blind and a Grey Ghost Super Screamer from Quaker Boy will get those "Ghosts" to come right in close! Good luck out there ART! Happy Hunting!
  24. Don't know how reliable this data is but here is a web page with statistical data: http://www.newsbatch.com/guncontrol.htm Swing by the NRA for recent and past laws along with definitive (hard) data. Hope this helps..Ace that paper- Stand up for what is RIGHT!
